Rating: Summary: I'll never eat pudding again Review: Oh how to can I distill this movie experience into a review that captures its true essence? Well here it goes please forgive me if my words fall short of my emotions, I will try my best to be unambiguous with my prose.......this movie is so pretentious it's nauseating. A veritable cornucopia of directorial overindulgence. The only thing that holds this film back from greatness is the script, the directing, the acting , the lighting, and the soundtrack. So if your willing to overlook these flaws then this movie is for you......The script has more red herrings in it then all of the worlds ocean combined. The soundtrack isnt even original as the main "love" theme is Shelley Duvall singing from the "Popeye" soundtrack ( and we all remember how great that movie was) . The directing is a sloppy meandering mess, A bloated exercise in over indulgence that frankly I want an explanation for..but you wont find any on the disc because theres no directors commentary. I can only hope the directors friends had an intervention with him before this "film" was released on DVD. Unfortunately for those of us who witnessed this fiasco ,to little, to late. And hey lets not forget the acting......actually forget the acting, the actors did. There isnt one aspect of this film which isnt an abyssmal failure....This film should be shown to P.O.W.'s at Guantanamo Bay...but only once because multiple viewings could result in irreversable brain damage.......thus ends my humble review I hope this helps.....have a nice day
Rating: Summary: Sirious love story makes for unforgettable movie Review: adam sandler can act, it just took awhile. I wish he would make more thought provoking movies like this; i wish a lot of people would cause this one is greatness. IN my opinion an already classic that should be seen by all sirious movie lovers. Adam is a shy, unsociable, keep to himself kind of guy, but he doesn't like being like that. That shows in his use of rage at times. Yes, as always, Sandler has got rage, but in the end learns how to control it without ripping everyone's face off. ONce you see the movie you'll know what i mean. I personally wish he would have torn the place to pieces. But anyways, he falls in love, and becomes attatched very quickly to this mysterious women. Since he loves her he wants to do nothing wrong and doesn't want her to think he's a freak, even though he kind of is. So when one of his many sisters says anything bad about him he flips out, and learns how to stand up for himself in the end. Don't believe that worthless amazon review that this movies fizzles out in the end. IF anything it rises to the top. Excellent.
