Rating: Summary: A Very Cute and Funny Romantic Comedy Review: A great movie that has to be seen! Bruce Willis and Billy Bob Thorton were hilarious, and were a wonderful team. Looking foward for the release date of the DVD, definitely going to buy!
Rating: Summary: Wow! Review: I saw this on an airplane, and couldn't believe I had never heard of or seen this film. Shame on you, Hollywood! This is the thinking man's Pulp Fiction. Bruce Willis is great, Billy Bob is greater, and the whole film defines the highwater mark for this genre of comedy. Wow!!!
Rating: Summary: A WASTE OF INTELLECT Review: Holy Cow was this a bad movie. If you liked epic dumps like Bull Durham or Get Shorty, you might think this horrible film is hysterical. For the rest of us, here goes: the movie is about two bank robbers out for (you guessed it!!) one last crime. Then enters the wacky, indecisive woman that comes between said bank robbers. Comedy is supposed to ensue, but man oh man does it flop. Billy Bob Thornton will look back in repulsion over this one, and Bruce Willis had better character development in "Blind Date." As far as the female lead, well, if you just loooove Julliane Moore, this woman is your style. Bandits delivers as many laughs as witnessing an electrocution. I would suggest either version of "The Thomas Crown Affair" for anyone looking for a funny AND well written movie along the same lines.
Rating: Summary: Entertaining Heist Comedy. Review: When Two Professional Thieves (Bruce Willis & Oscar-Winner:Billy Bob Thornton) escape from Prison, they teamed up together with another Thief (Troy Garity) to Rob Banks together. When a Bored House-Wife (Cate Blanchett) becomes involved with one of the Thieves and she changes the lives of Both Men (Willis, Thornton) and love them both. Now the Four has become the most successful bank robbers in America.Directed by Oscar-Winner:Barry Levinson (Diner, Wag the Dog, Sleepers) made a chaming heist comedy here. Appeling Performances by Willis, Thornton and Blanchett makes this one a Winner. This was a Box Office Disappointment in Theathers but this movie is Highly Entertaining. Fine Cinematography by Dante Spinotti. Super 35. Grade:B+.
Rating: Summary: Light - weight action comedy . Review: The actual rating - 3.5 stars . I would put this movie in the 'take your whole family and enjoy' category of films . It is evident that the players really enjoyed what they were doing , and took everything very easy, due to the comic nature of the film - consequently delivering a good time motion picture . In the story's heart are two criminals a.k.a "The sleepover bandits" for reasons you'll have to find out in the film . Their 'method' is so unique that , surprisingly , it works so well and they become nation wide culture icons (with a squint to Natural Born Killers) . Somewhere along the story , a woman joins the pair , obviously creating a love triangle that adds spice to the plot , that naturally complicate things . Bruce Willis does a nice work portraying the funny character the lucky and courageous 'bandit' . His role fits into a pattern in the careers of some of the biggest stars of the industry , in which they alternate between heavy and serious films to featherweight , almost meaningless movies no one would remember after a day or two ; Mel Gibson does it ("What women want") , Ford does it ("Six days , seven nights"), Hanks ("Cast away")and even the Robert de Niro("Meet the parents") couldn't resist the easy money temptation of that kind of movies . You'd have to remember this fact before seeing this movie in order to cut down your expectations . Bob Thornton , another part of the triumvirate ,is funny too , and manages to steal some moments from the big star's show - so much for loyalty and honor among thieves ...Cate Blanchett is okay , adding zest to the whole concept , but I wouldn't exactly give her the golden Globe for this one ... In all , one couldn't say it was as hilarious as the "Rush hour" movies - the jokes weren't tear jerking , but still, it was refreshing fine Friday night get-together .
Rating: Summary: Bandits Review: I laughed during the entire movie! A very good comedy that all family memebers can enjoy. Billy Bob Thorton was definitely the highlight of this film. I'm not very hip on comdies, but this one was great. This movie is great for get togethers and parties.

Rating: Summary: Very entertaining movie Review: This movie was very funny, and entertaining. The cast is great, with Bruce Willis, Cate Blanchett, and Billy Bob Thornton. The highlight of the movie is deffiantly billy Bob Thornton. He works magic, and is laugh out loud funny.I rarely laugh at movie, but i laughed very much at this one. The ending has been used before, but it still works well. Bandits is rated PG-13 for LANGUAGE, VIOLENCE, AND SOME SEXUAL CONTENT.If you want to laugh, go see this.
Rating: Summary: Good Acting Suffer from Overlong Script Review: The movie depends on the three players' acting ability to produce chemistry. That succeeds, but not completely. One problem is director Barry Levinson's habit of making a film overlong, as his previous works like "Sleepers" would testify. It takes 40 minutes for Cate Blanchett's character to appear and spark on screen -- dancing in kitchen (don't miss this hilarious scene). Probalbly, even those who love the film would agree that she shows up too late. And though Bruce Willis shows his unexpectedly off-beat and tender side; and Billy Bob is amusing as a nervous guy (especially when we imagine some part of his characterization might have come from his own), it is, after all, "a good-lookin' guy and an itchy guy." It is too simplistic to sustain the whole movie, which runs almost two hours. It is very regrettable since Willis's character certainly has more potentially dangerous side (see how he snatches a shotgun from a boy, wanna-be hero), which could have been used more effectively with a deft director's skill. Considering these flat characterization, it is understandable that for all some of the amusing dialogues -- like, "Kate is an iceberg waiting for the Titanic" -- some viewers complain that Billy Bob's character is a little irritating. However, to me, whether you like "Bandits" or not wholly depends on the idea of 'gentleman outlaw in modern times.' If you can't buy the idea of two bank robbers sleeping over at prospective target's house, our interest in film soon dies. Outlaws such as Black Bart, Butch & Sundance, or Plunkett & Macleane all lived in the past. I wish crinimals could be so gentle and charmimg when I have to meet one. But I just can't believe it, having seen too much of Tarantino. Sorry.
Rating: Summary: AWESOME movie!!! Review: Absolutely hilarious movie. Can't wait to buy it on DVD/VHS. Thorton and Willis are an awesome combination. Billy Bob is especially entertaining. Highly recommended!
