Rating: Summary: Cute & Funny Review: This is an incredibly cute movie that is realistic in some regards and totally unrealistic in others. The best part about it is the entire movie flows in enjoyable humor, but isn't overdone. The only annoying things I found in it are the way Brittany and Ashton act. They have some quirks that get on my nerves after awhile. Not that it ruins the movie at all. I only gave it three stars because it's another teen romance. Definitely a one or two time movie. But still very cute.
Rating: Summary: TERRIBLE waste of time! Review: I really wanted to like this movie, because I am a Britanny Murphy fan, but even though I had low expectations for the movie, it was far worse then I could have imagined. I had a headache for allt he shrieking and whining and it wasn't even funny. What a turkey!!
Rating: Summary: Decent. Review: From the start, I had low expectations for this movie. When I was done watching it, I was satisfied. Was it terrific? No. Was it a light hearted decent movie? Of course. Just Married centers around Tom (Ashton Kutcher) and Sarah (Brittney Murphy) who are a young and somewhat naive couple. Sarah comes from Beverly Hills and Tom is an average Joe. Of course, Sarah's family disaproves of the marriage. Nevertheless, they are married. The story finally picks up when they start their European honeymoon. They encounter everything bad under the sun. To name just a few, they get lost in a snow storm, evicted from their hotel, and are almost late for their flight. Pros: I found there would be more jokes, but the scarce comedy was also great comedy. The setting was great. The acting was decent. Also, the storyline was easy to follow and kept you watching. The chemistry was also good between Kutcher and Murphy. Finally, the DVD offered some cool bonus features. Cons: I did not like the setup of the movie at all. Essentially, the beginning was almost the end. It was also a little too "teeny boppish" All in all, Just Married was a fun film but its not a huge loss if you miss it.
Rating: Summary: Started out good..but went downhill Review: I have to admit right now that I am neither an Ashton Kutcher or a Brittany Murphy fan. So when I say this DVD on the shelf at the video store, I was skeptical. Then I remembered all the trailers I'd seen of the movie, and thought it would be pretty good. It started out OK. Then somewhere along the way, it stopped being OK. There are maybe one or two good parts in this entire movie. It was just plain bad the rest of the time.
Rating: Summary: just marries Review: this film is so funny you should buy it. i couldnt stop laughing!
Rating: Summary: Can True Love Conquer the Honeymoon from Hell? Review: With a pretty hilarious premise "Just Married" is your typical romantic comedy that should make great viewing fodder for a night on the couch with your loved one. THE STORY: Despite the disapproval of their family and friends, Sarah (Brittany Murphy) and Tom (Ashton Kutcher) wed after a whirlwind romance. The newlyweds young marriage are tried by various factors including (the aforementioned) disapproving family and friends, an old suitor from Sarah's past and not too mention, the Honeymoon from Hell in Europe. THE COOL THINGS: Basically this is just one hilarious movie. The amount of "things going from bad too worse," while not quite at the level of "Meet The Parents," are just hilariously played out. Those two just don't have any luck!!! Seeing the French and Italian countryside was a great bonus as well. The core moral of the story of "True Love Conquers All" shines brilliantly through all the horrible situations Tom and Sarah find themselves in. The simple plot device of "jealous suitor" returns to wreak havoc is very effective and plays itself out nicely through the film. BEST SCENES: 1. The French hotel scene with the "thingy" and the electrical outlet 2. The rundown Italian hotel scene 3. The airline scenes 4. Tom vs. Peter THE DVD FEATURES: While a little on the sparse side, the extras on this DVD are still a winner and are guaranteed to make it worth your while, particularly the deleted scenes. Here are the goodies included on this release: 1. Feature length commentary by the Director and Co-stars: Enlightening as always 2. Comedy Central's "Reel Comedy: Just Married." Brittany and Ashton sit down and go over the movie with the host while playing "Guess What They Said" in this 20 minute piece from Comedy Central. Fun listen!! 3. 4 deleted scenes with optional director commentary. These are actually some of the better deleted scenes I've seen on DVDs, and I've seen a lot of DVDs. 4. "Making of Featurette." Actually it's more like a 4 minute promotional spot for the movie. 5. Theatrical Trailer plus two other promotional trailers for "Le Divorce" and "LXG." THE VERDICT: Overall, "Just Married" makes another excellent viewing choice. If you're into romantic comedies you're bound to love this one. Again, the number of situations Tom and Sarah get into are just hilarious (think "Meet The Parents" or another other hilarious comedy, just on a smaller scale) and the ultimate point of the movie "Love Is All You Really Need" is just a very true and important thing we all need to remember. The DVD extras, while a little sparse, help make this DVD a fine choice for your viewing (or purchasing) pleasure. FINAL GRADES: The Movie: 4 stars The Extras: 3.5 stars Final: 3.75 stars
Rating: Summary: A major let down Review: I was very excited to see this movie. The first thing that bothered me was that they were looking back on what already had happened. The comedy was very dry and did not make me laugh one bit. The ending of the movie was very predictable, and all the parts that were almost funny were shown the in the trailer. Save yourself [the money] and rent before you but this movie
Rating: Summary: a romantic comedy for 3 Stooges fans Review: JUST MARRIED is a romantic comedy for fans of the Three Stooges. If you'd rather see two appealing actors with charisma fight, physically and verbally, for almost the duration of its running length, then I guess you'll enjoy this movie. Otherwise, seek a romantic comedy that actually enjoys watching two people act as-if they are in love. Your girlfriend might give yah some for it, afterwards.
Rating: Summary: Great fun and great chemistry Review: This movie was hilarious from the very beginning shots. Ashton K. and Brittany M. are great together- I guess the real life chemistry helped. I thought this movie was a fun, romantic and humorous comedy that is at least worth a rent. You can't expect too much out of these types of movies, just entertainment and I think with Just Married, you get it.
Rating: Summary: Disappointed Review: Asthon and Brittney are absolutely adorable together in this movie. I was looking forward to watching it because they are both funny people, off screen and in their other movies. But I was disappointed. The movie was funny but not as funny as they tried to make it out to be.
