Summary: One of the better chick flicks lately.
Review: Its not surprising that Hugh Grant gets the high marks. After all this is a woman's picture and he has dimples and a British accent. And while I wish her well, Sandra Bullock has more in common with Tyne Daly than Audrey Hepburn.

But the real star here is the script which is really quite good. Sure, you know the ending but at least you get to laugh along the way.

Summary: Definite Chick Flick, But A Good Look Deserved
Review: Chick flicks. A staple in American society and a painin .... But now comes one I almsot enjoyed. Sandra Bullock, great character actor, never breaks pace in this film.

I saw this movie in the theater with two girlfriends. One was almost as bored as I was. And the other was laughing the whole time. I think I laughed a total of once, but maybe it was because I didnt want to be seen as liking these types of movies.

Story is halfway interesting but even more predictable, which is becoming a trend in Holly wood these days for some reason. Hugh Grant is a great actor and a very funny guy all the way around.

So, the film loses a star for being what it is, a chick flick... but it loses another for lack of laughs.

Summary: Misses the mark
Review: I had such high hopes with this pairing of the king and queen of romantic comedies. How could it miss? But it does. Don't get me wrong -- it's highly watchable and isn't bad, and it's something I'll enjoy renting in the future to watch again. But the sparks, the chemistry that I expected just fizzled. Sandra Bullock's character was too stiff -- and there was no back story to indicate why despite the distracting presence of her character's parents. As for Hugh's character, his family (brother, mother and father) were ever-present, but their was no explanation as to why he was the way he was. The movie wanted you to develop this sympathy for these two lost lonely -- but funny in a quirky sort of way -- souls, but I found myself looking at my watch 40 minutes into the film.

Bottom line: I think the movie just tried too hard to cash in on Sandra Bullock's past successes. Is it coincidental that her character's name is Lucy -- the same name as her character in her best (in my opinion) movie to date, "While You Were Sleeping"? And the role of "best friend" is the actress who played her fellow contestant who turned into friend in "Miss Congeniality" (another cute movie). Sandra Bullock's a good actress...but she needs to stretch her acting chops and get past the romantic comedies as she's quickly outgrowing her abilities in this genre...it's becoming "been there, done that" with her.

The movie's one saving grace? Mr. Hugh Grant. He just gets better and better...and his acting is on par in this movie as he doesn't resort either into the role of cad or down-on-his-luck (yet adorable) loser. And he's not too tough to look at, either!

Summary: Two hours notice
Review: My biggest complaint with this movie is the fact that it's as predictable as every other movie of its kind. There's nothing original about romantic comedies anymore! And Two Weeks Notice obviously doesn't even try. However, I'm afraid to say I actually enjoyed some of the show, due to Hugh Grant's performance. Maybe I just haven't seen enough of his movies, but his bumbling and idiotic character was hilarious. Wit and one-liners abound. Yet Sandra Bullock's performance seemed trite and overused, compared to her previous films, though it would seem somewhat fitting had I not known her character many times before. I guess if you've had your movie fill of Grant and Bullock, or tried and true romantic comedies are not your style, then this film has nothing going for it. You wouldn't like it at all.

Summary: And I like Sandra Bullock!
Review: Sometimes a bubblegum movie is old bubblegum, tired and chewy and not very sweet. This movie has all the pieces but doesn't have any zing to it, any purpose. They go back and forth a little bit but they never truly convinced me that they were in love or their love was in danger. Alicia Witt, a superb actress didn't really have much to do in thsi film and Hugh Grant's bumbling charm boy routine is wearing thin.
I'm not sure about Bullock, she's filling a niche I'm sure. Doing films that appeal to her, that she gets paid a lot for, that help employ a lot of people. But I'm not qute sure if she's developing further along as an actress, if she's willing to take a risk and do something edgey or different or challenging. She just seems to be the best at the romantic comedy pairings movie of the season. Hopefully she'll start getting better choices.

Summary: Funny, Funny, Funny
Review: I love Sandra Bullock. She is one of my favorite actresses. I think she is so funny.
In her newest film "Two Weeks Notice" she as is funny as ever, alongside Hugh Grant, they romp through this movie with funny jokes in almost evey secene. Grank, and Bullock have such great chemistry and are so funny together.
It was writtwn by Marc Lawernce who was the scribe for Bullocks last three films "Forces of Nature", "Miss Congrniality", and "Two Weeks Notice". He also directed this film.
It was solidly written, and directed. The cast gives a solid performences and the sets were great, they were all live in NYC. This is a great film and I can't wait for the DVD, which arrives on April 29th. If you havent seen it yet be sure to rent, its great!

Summary: Hugh Grant looks good again and it is soooo funny!
Review: I think this film was hillarious. I liked it when Sandra got stuck on Hugh's belt, When they were trying out the bed and when sandra walks in on them playing strip cheast. I though it was soooo sad when they were in the hellicopter and i was just like tell each other how you feel. But it is just like most of the other romantic films...
Hugh Grant looks very nice again and Sandra was very pretty in her dress.
So over all good movie, but it could have been more original.

Summary: Not quite Notting Hill!
Review: Any film with Hugh Grant has to be a must, however 'Two Weeks Notice' just lacks that something. Sandra Bullock and Hugh are great to watch and there is definitely a strong chemistry, but they should have found a stronger project to work together. If you are after a feel good movie this is it, but there won't be many laughs.
