Summary: Liar Liar was better than this.
Review: Meet Stanley Ipkiss (Jim Carrey). His Job, he is a bank clerk. When a woman named Tina Carlye (Cameron Diaz) wants to open a bank account at the bank where Stanley Ipkiss works, but doesn't know what account to open. But what he doesn't already know, that she is the girlfriend of a brutal gangster (Peter Greene). But that all changes when Stanley finds a mask, a tells a cop why he was in the water, "I was justing looking for my mask, I got it." This movie aslo has Ben Stein as Dr. Neuman who has written a book called, The masks we wear. Watch Liar Liar instead of this.

Summary: Solid comedy
Review: If you are reading this, what is wrong with you? If you haven't seen this movie ten thousand times, then you probably aren't normal. Anyway, this a definitly a good comedy back in the day when Jim Carrey and Adam Sandler and all them were hilarious. This movie good, but I would recommend you buy a more recent movie if you want to spend your money, cause you will probably have a chance to watch this movie many times.

Summary: Delightfully Silly!
Review: Yes it's silly but that's what makes it so much fun! I love all kinds of movies from the deeply dramatic and intellectual movies of Italian director Federico Fellini to the insanely silly movies of Jim Carrey, his silly comedies like The Mask are very fun to watch! The Mask is such a cute movie and I loved everything about it, one of my favorite scenes being the one where they sang and danced to Cuban Pete.

Summary: Entertaining parody and foolery
Review: This film is funny, first of all. It is a parody of so many other films that it has very little deep meaning but it is only an entertaining « action » film. It is a parody of old cartoons, of gangster films, of maffia films, of bank robbery films, of Batman or Spiderman films, of whatever. But the concoction that is delivered to us is absolutely delicious. Then the deeper meaning that a mask can only help us to reveal our deeper being by lifting the artificial mask society sets on us is rather shallow and in no way studied in any depth. But that is not the interest of the film which is, as I have already said, nothing but a funny entertainment. Dr Jacques COULARDEAU, Paris Universities II and IX.

Summary: Jim Carrey Rocks
Review: No matter what movie I watch, I love Jim Carrey. This movie is about a lonely guy that is kind of a nerd. He finds a mask in a body of water one night, and decides to bring it home. Once he gets it home he puts in on and of course strange things happen. His dog has a sixth sense about the mask and tries to warn Jim about the mask, but of course he does not heed the warning. He puts the mask on and you will have to watch it from there.... If you are a big cartoon fan you will love this movie, it is a movie with humans, but shaped like looney toons cartoons.

Summary: What a classic!
Review: This is mainly where people had known Jim Carrey's alter-egos and impressions. Also there's something very important about the mask he uses and I'm not telling you because I don't want you to miss out. It also debuts Cameron Diaz. He happens to have a crush on her and she didn't know he was the mask character until he was in jail. Also he had the dog Milo to help him with the key. And then there were some other characters (Julian, etc.) who were both trying to get the mask and all that other stuff. Also,(at the beginning) he was 40 minutes late one day to work and he met that girl (Well, when you see it you'll know what i'm talking about). He did get out. Julian (Just for the movie) tied her up and Jim Carrey's (or Stanley Ibkis for the movie) had to wear the mask again to save her, though dog Milo had before. There was a part there I didn't like, but it gets 5 stars because it's so good. See this one. I've seen almost all of his movies except Man On The Moon or Me Myself And Irene.

But for those who want to get it, do get it!!!

Summary: Looked better now than before!
Review: Don't know why, but I liked it more now than when I saw it on the silver screen. Maybe it was because my kids now were laughting and rolling around. Really nice to watch it again and again with them. The extras, careful digitalization, image and sound quality add to the value of this DVD. Have family? Have fun! But even alone it works very fine too.

Summary: The Mask
Review: The Mask is a perfect representation of Jim Carrey's typical movie: Undeniably funny, with a fairly well-done plot, and very good (but over-the-top) acting. Although The Mask doesn't have as much comedy as most of his other films, like Dumb & Dumber, it has one of the best plots you can find in any Carrey movie. This film also has a great amount of special effects, which do nothing but help. Along with its special effects and plot, The Mask marks the debut of now incredibly popular Cameron Diaz in a role which suits her well. Overall, the effects and smart(er) plot of this movie make it a must-see for most any comedy fan. The only reason for anyone not to see this is the somewhat strong amount on violence included. But due to the fact that this violence is so far out, it shouldn't be too much of a problem.

Summary: To wear it, or not to wear it,that is a dumb question,
Review: If you think the hauted mask was something, wait to you see this. Its about a low life guy,Ipkiss who one day throught that somone was in the water, but it was junk, where he finds THE MASK and when he puts it on, he is a wild, lover, cartoon, guy to life
