Rating: Summary: Billy Crystal and Meg Ryan : Phew ! Review: A very good comedy for adults. Thats what you get when you put two brilliant actors and terrific story together. Billy and Meg meet for the first time when he gets a ride with her. She is moving across the country. They have a very hearty conversation about platonic relationship with the opposite sex. They go their separate ways and meet after a couple of years. They have had their fair share of heartbreaks and relationships in the years that have passed. They meet again and after more trials and tribulations, are together for life.About the performances, Billy has that dead-pan expression even when he is saying the most outrageous punch lines ! Meg Ryan is absolutely fabulous in the hotel scene. Both are a treat to watch.
Rating: Summary: So Get On With It (or Something) Already Review: Billy Crystal and Meg Ryan do a fine job in this well-written comedy about a romance that took a long time to bloom, with a lot of fits and starts and funny lines along the way. The movie ran almost continually over the New Year's holiday and I liked it more than I did the first time. So it seems to have aged well. But has it really? Didn't these people ever think about the Peace Corps, or working for a clean environment, or civil rights? Seems like they just kept going through a host of undesirable dates until they finally found each other. Maybe I'm just viewing it now in light of Sept. 11. We still need friends, as well as lovers. But I think we all have to look around and do what we can to make this a better place to live, and to start chipping away at things like hate and severe life-long poverty in the Third World. Get the movie and take a break from such somber thoughts. Make some popcorn and cuddle with someone if possible. Then, the next day, contribute some time and/or money to a cause you believe in. Hey Hey!!!
Rating: Summary: This movie left women everywhere looking for their Harry Review: I love this movie, I make no secret about it; it is definitely one of my favorites! Meg Ryan and Billy Crystal make a great team and they play off each other so well, it's just unbelieveable! What I like best about this movie is that everyone can relate to some degree with what the characters are going through. It's a classic boy meets girl; boy & girl go their separate ways; boy & girl run into each other; boy & girl run into each other again and become friends ... It's a really fun film! I think it's one of the better Nora Ephrom films to date!
Rating: Summary: Yawwwwwn Review: I am probably not the person to review this movie. I think Billy Crystal has about as much acting talent as a ball of lint. No human male actually acts like that, but, hey, it's only a movie. A "chick" movie! I did not laugh once. This was supposed to be a comedic love story, wasn't it? Well, it wasn't. If you are female, you will love this flick. If not, find an excuse, any excuse, not to see this movie.
Rating: Summary: The most genuine Review: It was around the Christmas holidays in 1989 I saw this movie for the first time in West Berlin. (At the time Berliners and tourists from all over the world were demolishing the Berlin Wall and I was lucky to have gotten a small piece of it as a souvenir.) I was not able to understand everything 'cause it was the German version. No matter, I enjoyed its sweetness and warmth. I've seen the movie on tape many, many times in the past decade, and now on DVD. In comparison with the other Meg Ryan movies, such as "Seattle," "Mail," and "Angles," this one strikes me as the most natural-the chemistry between Billy Crystal and Meg Ryan is simply fantastic. The other movies drag a little and feel artificial from time to time, but not this one-it always keeps its comfortable pace and continuity. IMHO, the movie is and will be an all time classic; Billy and Meg better not cooperate in another movie of the same genre ever again, for this one will be so hard to top.
Rating: Summary: Perhaps the funniest movie of all time Review: I cannot stop laughing every time I see this film. The story starts with two characters as they embark on a drive from Chicago to NYC as both are moving there to start careers after college. The two turn out to be entirely different, but also have great chemistry between them. The film then continues to catch up with each person individually every 5 years until finally, the two run into each other again and become friends. The interactions between the two main characters are absolutely phenomenal--funny, well-acted, well-directed. The script is witty and the direction first-rate. If you've ever been in or are in a relationship (or might someday be in one) this film is a must-see that will keep you laughing for hours.

Rating: Summary: Great, Classic romantic comedy. Review: Anyone who likes Billy Crystal will enjoy his ironic humor in this movie. I personally dont really like Meg Ryan but with Crystal in this scenario she adds to the the dynamic of the humor, and fills it in. Where else would you get such classic quotes like " Waiter there is too much pepper on my paprikash, but i would like to partake of your pecan pie". Everythings here" the mood, the players, the connection and chemistry and of course a GREAT script. I would highly reccomend this movie to ANYONE who enjoys a good comedic performance, or even a cute romance.
Rating: Summary: Sweet! Review: I really love this movie. It is unlike any other romantic comedy I have ever seen. It totally stands on its own. I thought it was so creative how about every 20 minutes they show clips of old couples telling how they were meant for each other. That was really cute. Billy Crystal and Meg Ryan are absoulutely perfect and have excellent chemestry. It is also really funny. I recommend this movie to everyone!
