Rating: Summary: Best Romantic Comedy Ever! Review: "When Harry Met Sally" is clearly the best romantic comedy ever made. Crystal and Ryan rival the chemistry of Cary Grant and any of his leading ladies. Equally entertaining, funny and poinant for both men and women. Anyone who has ever fallen in love or laughed should see this movie.
Rating: Summary: What's not to love?! Review: This is, hands-down, one of the best movies ever made. Billy Crystal and Meg Ryan are funny, delightful, true-to-life characters who play friends skirting around their deeper feelings for each other. There are so many classic scenes and lines that I cannot even begin to quote them. I have seen this movie at least 30 times and have yet to get sick of it. Anyone who has not yet seen this movie should do so immediately - you won't regret it!
Rating: Summary: The beginning of a beautiful friendship... Review: Meg Ryan and Billy Crystal, what more do you need? This is a great movie about an unlikely couple who just happen to be perfect for one another. It's worth watching just to hear the dialogue about how Harry (Crystal) believes men and women can't be friends and the haridos Sally (Ryan) dons throughout the first half of the movie! Bruno Kirby and Carrie Fisher are terrific as Harry and Sally's best friends!
Rating: Summary: Best Romantic Comedy, A Must Have! Review: I actually discovered this movie through the soundtrack which is comprised of songs by the amazing Harry Connick Jr. This video is a must in any video collection especially for those who enjoy clever, romantic comedies with issues you can easily relate to in them. I watch this video about once a week and never get tired of it. I'm SHOCKED it's not on the Amazon.com Top 50 Romantic Comedy Bestsellers List.
Rating: Summary: What a classic! Review: This comedy made you laugh, made you cry, and most of all, made you smile. Everything from the diner scene to the wedding party scene had you rolling on the floor laughing. It made you love both characters for their individuality. And, indeed, the diner scene was classic!
Rating: Summary: Casabalanca in the 80s Review: Nora Ephron's first and I certainly think it's her best. The delectable Meg Ryan with the wonderfully funny Billy Crystal the perfect combination for a couple whose on and off relationship form the basis of this sacharrine sweet romantic comedy. Even though in later years, Ephron has chosen to revive the theme with movies like, Sleeples in Seattle and the very recent You've Got Mail, the sizzling on-screen chemistry between Crystal and Ryan far surpasses that of Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks. A really wonderful romantic comedy that will without a doubt withstand the test of time.
Rating: Summary: Greatest Romantic Comedy Ever... Review: I've seen this movie over 30 times. Everytime I watch it, it gets better. I never tire of it. I cry tears of happiness everytime. The writing, acting, and directing are amazing. The movie is true to life. This is the one movie that belongs in every home video collection. Haven't seen it? Order it now and fall in love.
Rating: Summary: "It Had to be You" Review: By far one of my favorite movies! Easy to relate to, especially if you too have fallen for your best friend, and feel as though you must be together. One of my favorite parts, "Helen went to Michigan State?" "No, but they're Big Ten Schools." When they are having the Charades/Dinnner Party, you can just see the sexual tension and jealousy between them...great. Meg Ryan is so amiable, even with all her quirkiness, and Billy Crystal is the humorous touch to the relationship, adding sensitivity as well.
Rating: Summary: Best Romantic Comedy Ever! Review: This movie about 2 friends of the opposite sex that try to remain "just friends" but wind up falling in love is the best. The dialogue is crisp and funny and Billy Crystal adds to the fun with some of his own lines that he obviously threw into the script himself. Meg Ryan is as delightful as ever and shines throughout. If you are single, married or one half of a couple, you will enjoy it. Look for Bruno Kirby and Carrie Fisher in great supporting roles.
Rating: Summary: Can men and women be friends? Review: I love this movie I could go on about it forever, but to break it down, this film goes through the years showing us the on-off friendship with Harry and Sally. The script is fantastic with so many quotes I can't start to begin. One that always springs to mind 'There's a man staring at you in personal growth' This film had me riveted from beginning to end. Everything from the cast, (Billy Crystal and Meg Ryan cast perfectly as Harry and Sally) to the script to the foot tapping soundtrack. This is a perfect film, a classic watch it. What more can I say!?
