Summary: One of the Best
Review: One of the best movies I have ever seen. Meg Ryan and Billy Crystal are pure delight to watch as they stumble through 15 years of friendship(?)I saw this movie when it came out 2X and own the video. It is highly recommended. It's the 'original' sleepless, you've got mail, etc.

Summary: Awesome!
Review: This is jus' one of those movies that make you laugh out loud and find other people to watch it wit' you! I loved it so much. It has a lot of truth in it.. especially the fact that men and women can not be friends at all.. It is an awesome movie and the resturant scene was hilarous!

Summary: One of the funniest movies ever. Out-Woodys Woody.
Review: This is one of the sweetest, funniest, and most enjoyable movies I have ever seen. I am amazed that even a few amazon.com critics despised it. This film, to me, is realistic, sentimental, and often hilarious (as in the double phone conversation, the lecture on life and love by Harry to Sally on the airplane, and the notorious orgasm-in-the-diner scene). But don't expect to enjoy this movie if you did not like ANNIE HALL.

Review: I WANT TO VIDEO TAPE AND THE BOOK ABOUT WHEN HARRY MET SALL

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Over 20 times, and I'm still not sick of it
Review: This movie is by far the best movie ever. Others have come close, but they will never replace this one. Billy Crystal and Meg Ryan were a perfect match. Bruno Kirby and Carrie Fisher were also absolutely brilliant. I just got it last Christmas and can't even put it down. Romantic comedies are one of my favorite types of movies, and this movie is sweet and totally hilarious.

Summary: Gee, I wish there was a DVD edition of this movie...
Review: This is probably my favorite romantic-comedy of all time, and is right up there with Ferris Bueller and Star Wars for the movies I watch the most. I just wish they'd release it on DVD- my VHS copy is wearing out, and I don't want to buy it again unless it is on a more permanent format!

Summary: watch this only if you want to feel good
Review: this is not my all-time favorite movie (joe vs. the volcano), and it has no soul-searching significance....however, if i am home with a head cold, or feeling blue, or wanting to watch something that i am sure will hit the spot, THIS is the movie i grab every time. my baby boomer friends and i sit around and can "do the lines" and scenes and laugh and laugh. the chemistry between meg and billy is wonderful. the lines are so repeatable, and some of the scenes are a riot (meg singing karaoke, the diner, the wagon wheel coffee table). i'm a sucker for romantic comedies (aka: chick flicks) and this is one of the very best. ... i can't write any more....i gotta go watch it!

Summary: a contrived cliche
Review: yuck. i really hate this film. first of all, it's as if ANNIE HALL was remade as a television sitcom. ANNIE HALL is a much better movie! It's a classic. This one is hopelessly mediocre and it dates really badly. The second reason I hate this film is how it engages in all this "Men are from Mars, Women are from Uranus" nonsense. The gender roles are so boring - the man who is dark and cynical (his name is BURNS - how profound! and obvious too!) and the woman who is bright and cheery (and whoa what a surprise - her name is Albright!) Relationships are complicated. They don't work this way. This is hollywood fantasy at its worst. It's dangerous because it dupes people into believing that their lives will end up like the ones they see on screen when the sad fact of the matter is - most marriages end in divorce and there is no such thing as happily ever after.

do i sound cynical? i'm really not. and before anyone accuses me of anything, i've been happily married for ten years. so there.
