Summary: Fantastic acting, wonderful story
Review: There is so much to love about this film.

Harrison Ford's acting for one. Imagine trying to play someone who is pretending to be in love, who is in love, but just doesn't know it. Ford pulls it off in style.

Julia Ormond is fantastic as well, as is Ford's younger brother played by Greg Kinnear.

There is a lot of subtle humor to enjoy in this film, such as Ford asking, "Why does he keep saying that?" upon Kinnear's exclamation of noticing the grown-up Ormond for the first time in a couple of years, or Ford showing prospective buyers the indestructibility of a television screen during a family party.

Personally, I prefer this version to the original.

Summary: GOOD FOR HARRISON FORD FANS LIKE ME
Review: I SAW THIS MOVIE FOR THE FRIST TIME LAST NIGHT AND THOUGHT IT WAS ALLRIGHT. I LOVE HARRISON. HE IS GOOD IN THIS MOVIE. THIS IS A LITTLE BIT MORE BELIVESABLE THAN THE ORIGANAL. BECAUSE THE AGE DIFFERANCE BEETWEN SABRINA ND LINUS IS NOT SO BIG. IT IS A LITTTLE SLOW MOVING AT PARTS BETTER EDITING WOULD HAVE HELPED.

Summary: Sabrina Updated
Review: I love both this and the original version of Sabrina. However, both contain the same flaw - it is virtually impossible to believe that Sabrina will toss aside her affections for the attractive younger brother to fall in love with the MUCH OLDER brother. I am a big fan of both Humphrey Bogart and Harrison Ford, but each was too much older than his leading lady for believability. Yet, despite that flaw, both versions of the movie are excellent. Both movies are witty, romantic versions of the classic Cinderella type.

Summary: good, clean fun!
Review: This movie suffered disasterous reviews upon release, but it's worth a second look. It is truly a romantic movie, that plays on all your notions of what love is supposed to be. Greg Kinnear as "David" is especially charming, and I almost felt like rooting for him, instead of Harrison Ford. The scenes of Paris are great, and you really, really wish, you had a contact that would set you up with and apartment in Paris with a job at Vogue magazine.

Alas, that is not in the cards.. but I can still pop in the video and pretend i was there..

Summary: very pleasantg
Review: I just loved the movie, also I would like to see Julia Ormand in other romantic movies. Harrison Ford does no wrong in any of his movies. I can't wait for this movie to become available in DVD. I have watched this movie no less than 25 times.

Summary: Mixed Reviews?
Review: I know that if you're reading all these reviews they are an extreme bunch with one stars to five stars. I love Sabrina. Though one may argue that Harrison Ford is not as charming as they would like, it is because his character is meant to be businesslike, only showing some semblance of human frailty at the end. I fell in love with Sabrina, she convinced me to fall in love with Paris, and I've watched the show a good fifty times to fall in love again.

Summary: Superior to the original
Review: Like most people, remakes of classic films usually leave me cold. There have been notable exceptions such as 1992's "The Last of the Mohicans" and this charming update of the Audrey Hepburn original. I am as big an Audrey Hepburn fan as anyone; but the original "Sabrina" was not one of her better films. Humphrey Bogart was woefully miscast and looks extremely unhappy throughout that film. If someone thinks there is a lack of chemistry between Ford and Ormond, then I would like to hear what someone would call the chemistry between Bogart and Hepburn. Icy? Non-existant? Bogart's offscreen relationship with Hepburn was cordial, at best. In fact, he questioned her acting ability, saying something to the effect that she was a nice enough girl as long as one enjoyed re-shooting the same scenes over and over.

That friction translated onscreen and the result was the original "Sabrina," a romantic comedy which was not particularly romantic and one of the few light comedies that included an attempted suicide scene. As a romantic comedy, the 1995 remake is superior. No, it's not Oscar material. It's lightweight fluff, but extremely well done lightweight fluff. The cast is good. The story is cleverly updated for modern audiences. The direction is fairly even paced. The crux of the entire film, though, hinges on the romantic chemistry between the two leads. Does it work?

The story of bachelor-for-life Linus finding love without expecting it with the beautiful and charming Sabrina would not work without that chemistry. Personally, I believe the chemistry between Ford and Ormond is good enough to make the story believable. Good enough is far better than the non-existant chemistry between Bogart and Hepburn. Maybe Ford is too old. Maybe Ormond relies too much on her doe-eyed beauty than her acting range. Yet it worked for me. I am quite moved when the very hurt and confused Sabrina is confronted by the lovelorn Linus at film's end. The romance works and that is why this remake is superior to the original.

Summary: No chemistry
Review: I was very disappointed with this movie. I felt that Ormond and Ford had no chemistry at all. I get so tired of the older man/much younger woman syndrome. Ormond's transformation from mousy young girl to sophisticated woman was completely unbelievable. Harrison Ford gives her little reason to switch alliances, but she does anyway making her appear very shallow. I usually like most romantic comedies but his one was definitely a waste of time.

Summary: Sabrina
Review: Sabrina was one of the best movies made. Harison Ford showed how one can become stuck in their ways but with a little help there is hope and romance. That is all any of us can hope for. He gives great emotion to his caractor but yet a human quality EXISTS.

Summary: Wonderful!
Review: I have never seen the original but I am glad because I got to view this movie for its own merits and not constantly compare it to the original. This was simply a wonderful movie. I laughed and cried and got that tingly all over feeling that good love scenes provide. The chemistry between Ormond and sexy Harrison Ford is so real you can almost touch it. Some of Ford's lines are a little hokey but that is totally forgiveable. I own very few movies but this one I am going to buy for my tiny collection so I can watch it again and again.
