Summary: Teen Favorite
Review: I started a Shakespeare Group at my school and after the first meeting 15 people came up to me begging me to let Much Ado About Nothing be our first show. Out of all the comedies, I believe this is the most realistic and therefore appeals more to teens than any other of Shakespeare's works. I highly recommend this to any teens trying to find one of the Bard's wonderful plays.

Summary: Another Point of View
Review: This film is pure fun from the start. The revelry and feeling of celebration carry on throughout. Emma Thompson is always a joy to watch, and the chemistry between her and then husband, Kenneth Branagh is amazing. Denzel Washington is just about perfectly cast as Don Pedro. I'm not overly impressed with Michael Keaton, as all I see is Beetlejuice all over again (and that movie was dumb the first time around). And now to address the disturbing trend of "let's beat the crap out of Keanu Reeves", I happen to think that although he may not be an Oscar winning actor, he was very beleivable in this role of the evil Don John. There are few who can convey such evil and bitterness with just a look, and Keanu Reeves did just that. I have always been a fan of Shakespeare's comedies, and this version has just reinforced my enjoyment of them. All in all a very lighthearted, heartwarming film that I would recommend to everyone, whether you are a Shakespeare fan or not.

Summary: HEY, NONNY NONNY! THIS WAS FUNNY FUNNY!
Review: This, without a doubt, the funniest film that I have seen Kenneth Branagh do. True, it was no match for his four-hour masterpiece HAMLET, but MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING is almost as great. Branagh shows us that his acting abilities can range from heroic to comedic. But please, let us not talk of the very bad performance he gave in the insanely crazy, and just as stupid WILD WILD WEST. Another thing that suprised me about the film: Keanu Reeves as a bad guy. This film also proves that Reeves, who plays the sinister John the B-----d, can play a wide variety of characters (from THE MATRIX's Neo, to BILL AND TED'S EXCELLENT ADVENTURE's Bill Es Preston Esquire.). The other supporting actors (Denzel Washington, Michael Keaton, Emma Thompson, Brian Blessed, among many others) gave what could be called their finest performances ever. The movie, which is insanely funny, also has some dramatic moments, so as not to make it too ludicrous. Anybody who has a thirst for Shakespeare, or just wants a good laugh, should see this movie. Trust me, you'll be singing HEY, NONNY NONNY 'til you die. Grade: A+

Summary: THE BEST PLAY THE BARD EVER WROTE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Review: I put on this play and was Borachio! I went to see a professional one right right before seeing the video. I have to admit, the movie was almost as good as the play. Although it did lack the incredible language. I thimk thta they shold have done this as a play and then just have taped it.

Summary: Kenneth Branagh at his best!
Review: If you don't have time to read the play, I highly recommend this version of Much Ado About Nothing. The charisma between Kenneth Branagh and Emma Thompson is unrivaled! Branagh is the perfect Benedick and Thompson the ideal Beatrice. Even Keanu Reeves shines as the evil Don John. It cuts a few too many lines, but it's the only version of Much Ado that seems to come close to the happy-go-lucky tone that Shakespeare probably intended. A must see!

Summary: Long Live Benedick and Beatrice!
Review: I've read over half of Shakespeare's plays, and Much Ado About Nothing is by far my favorite. Shakespeare not only weaves a clever tale of love and wit, he produces a villain, Don John, who rivals only Iago in evil. Benedick and Beatrice of course steal the show, but the true romantic can't help feeling the love between Claudio and Hero. A true masterpiece!

If you don't have time to read the play, I highly recommend the recent movie version starring Kenneth Branagh as Benedick and Denzel Washington as Don Pedro. It cuts a few too many lines, but it's the only version of Much Ado that seems to come close to the happy-go-lucky tone that Shakespeare probably intended. Kenneth Branagh at is at his best.

Summary: Traditional lines come alive.
Review: Kenneth Branagh is amazing in making this wonderful play come so alive. The lines are original shakespearean english, but he establishes the context so well you won't even notice it!

Summary: Have Your Kids Watch This.
Review: Adventure for the boys and romance for the girls!!! What could be better. They might even decide to read the Bard. Beautiful and incredible cast! A cinematic wonder!
