Summary: LA BINOCHE AND RENO BOND AT PARIS AIRPORT
Review: Juliette Binoche ("La Binoche," in France) the gorgeous Rose and gravley voiced Jean Reno playing Felix, are two successful but unhappy travelers. They're thrown together and improbably bond during an air controller's strike in Paris. The characters are clearly defined in this French romantic comedy.

Felix, a celebrated chef and frozen foods entrepreneur and a sparkling Rose first meet at Paris' Charles de Gaulle Airport. But he's too work-obsessed to really notice Rose, at first. The grizzled Reno, looking younger than his 54 years --- in spite of his hangdog eyes --- portrays Felix as a ball of hypertension and tightly pulled emotional knots. The husband-abused Rose is unhappy and fearful. Can two such dysfunctonal strangers fall in love in one day during an airline strike?

Director Daniele Thompson (and her son/co-screenwriter Christopher Thompson) search for a comfortable balance between a Hollywood homage and anti-Hollywood put down comedy. What makes the Hollywood romance stand out, other than the happy ending, is its inevitability. Seasoned pros that the two actors are, Binoche and Reno favor emotional truths above easy laughs.

What's refreshing about "JET LAG" is that it's a romantic comedy involving two lovebirds, each old enough to remember when romantic comedies were still made in black and white.

Although Binoche and Reno are very pleasant to see and hear, somehow the movie doesn't make its story very moving or exciting. That's not the actors' fault because they are virtually the best, most talented and most beautiful in France.

Summary: Funny and Romantic
Review: Juliette Binoche's is not the first name you associate with romantic comedy, but her she is as the tarty Rose in Daniele Thompson's Jet lag. Jean Reno plays Félix, a grumpy chef. the pair "meet cute" in an airport during a strike and end up.... well you know. While Jet Lag's outcome is obvious, we are offered a fun time getting there. thompson has dispensed with sex and smut in favour of ironic black humour. The result is a deliciously grown up mix of excitement and resentment. However it is the lead actors who lift the whole excercise into the realms of worthiness. Binoche is loud, shrill and completely different to anything she has done before. Reno is grumpy and taciturn taking a well deserved break from his action roles. Jet Lag is sublime entertainment!

Summary: Wonderful, charming movie
Review: My husband and I actually saw previews for this movie repeatedly while in Paris. Even though I didn't speak French, I knew this was a movie I would love. I continually checked around, and when it finally came to our city, we were there. It lived up to my expectations. Such a charming romantic comedy. Jean Reno has never been sexier and Juliette Binoche was radiant. Not as syrupy and sticky-sweet as a Meg Ryan romantic comedy. I really loved this movie and can't wait to own it.

Review: This is a French movie, but modern French - as in French Kiss- with delightful acting, bright, well developed dialogue, and a plot which keeps you hoping the whole time and doesn't disappoint. The recipes...

Tastiness and testiness with a just the right touch of international humor.

Summary: Good piece for french movies history
Review: This is a good title that didn't need many action, many characters or a lot of budget to keep your eyes open all story long.

I found it interesting since is the history of two individuals that had the chance to meet each other one good day in an unfurtunate day for both of them. The rest of the story is good enough that I recomend you to see the end

Summary: Jean Reno and Juliette Binoche are great as always!
Review: This movie is a mixture of American and French Cinema. It takes the camera angles and the basic storyline of American movies, but shows real people and much more conversation which are usual in French movies.

What makes the movie are Juliet Binoche, which looks great without meakup (in the beginning of the movie she looks almost American)and Jean Reno is great as in all his movies.

All in all it is a fun and interesting movie to watch.
