Summary: Action in French, Comedy in English
Review: This is a wonderful film ~in French~. In English it is a very funny comedy due to poor dubbing.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Pretty decent flick, although a bit old
Review: I have to admit, the first time I watched this movie, I was blown away, by the great acting and the captivating story. Anne Parillaud plays a perfect part. What I didn't like about this DVD was the fact that they did not optimize it whatsoever. I just recently bought a very expensive wide-screen television only to find out that if you display this DVD in it's original wide-screen setting you will get the infamous black bars at the top and bottom of the screen. Also the sound isn't very clear, but then again this movie is already quite old. If you liked the Bridget Fonda version "Assassin" you should definately see this one, because it is way better.

Summary: Luc Besson's Visual Feast
Review: Granted, director Luc Besson is a visual filmmaker, but he outdid himself with a great story and intelligent performances along with his standard eye-popping mise-en-scene for this film. It deserves to be released in French (who wants to hear some other actors voice?!) and in widescreen to compliment Besson and his eye for detail. You can currently check this out on the Independent Channel, but no tape like this exists.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: I rate this one as a "Cult Movie", one to watch many times.
Review: Anne Parillaud (Nikita) does a wonderful transformation from a low life gang member to a high society assassin. The movie will keep you watching it until the end. It gives you a taste of the covert underworld and its risks/rewards. If you have seen "Point of No Return", then you have to see this one.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A great, no stunning, no absoloutly brilliant film!
Review: There is nothing better than a film which has a female assain who really kicks butt on a scale never seen before. Who says French films are bad whaen you have got Luc Bessons classic, stylish thriller which can only be considered one of the finest films ever made. Who needs say more than that!!!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Best movie ever made, foreign or domestic
Review: This movie has it all. Intelligent dialogue, secret spy based material, great weapons and a lovely leading lady. Luc Besson's masterpiece should be owned by everyone who ever liked anything by Schwarzenegger, Segall or Van Damm. Because this is a lot better. Enjoy!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Tragically Beautiful
Review: This is a true film...not just a movie but a film. Best viewed with subtitles NOT the dubbed version. This is the original story that the USA networks television show is strongly based on. Luc Besson's done another fine job with all aspects of filmmaking. after this check out "The Big Blue" and "The Professional"(LEON)I'm not too sure about "The Fifth Element" yet

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Fast paced, action packed, great Anne Parrillaud
Review: Anne Parillaud is transformed from wlaking dead woman junky to professional killer. Going through this she tries to find a real life (what she is utterly denied by her "mentor").

Action is nearly everywhere. And it pleases the eye (Luc Besson is always a good photographer while he's directing a movie).

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Please do not buy this (the dubbed version)
Review: A brilliant movie that is only done service by subtitles. The dubbed english version is just lame.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Outstanding. Well presented, complete, multilayered.
Review: This a movie that I loved in the theater. Once I got the video I've exposed others to it, and they also rate it highly. A very good movie on the surface, it is an excellent movie overall. The USA series doesn't seem to measure up, and I understand the US remake to be a pale imitation.
