Rating: Summary: Awesome military, weaponry, and politics plots Review: A film with sophisticate intelligence, foreign military operations, mixed with politics and crime organizations. Best action/intelligence movie I've seen.
Rating: Summary: Book is always better, but see this movie! Review: Hey, the book is always gonna be better (that is why Amazon.com sells books too!) The acting is excellent, the action is superb and the story is better than most poor plotted movies out there. If you can only buy one DVD, buy Devil's Advocate. If you can buy two movies, buy Clear and Present Danger and take the phone off the hook . . .
Rating: Summary: book was better Review: I thought that the book was better so you should read the book and if your interested then see the movie.
Rating: Summary: A well-done suspense movie Review: Clear and Present Danger is more satisfying than Patriot Games. There is much more going on is this film. Ford, as Jack Ryan has to deal with deception and political wiles and doublecrosses by almost everyone in the movie. The highlight is the remarkable ambush scene and the helicopter rescue scene at the end. A really intelligent movie. Go see it.
Rating: Summary: Best Clancy Movie Review: Out of the four Tom Clancy/Jack Ryan movies, I think Clear and Present Danger is easily the best. Harrison Ford is one of my favorite actors, and even though he's made some dreck in recent years, his string of successes post-Star Wars and Indiana Jones reached their peak around this time. The story of the film revolves around the U.S. war on drugs, attempting to stop the flow at the source of production in Colombia. To this end, Harrison Ford as Jack Ryan becomes caught up in the action along with the always-great Willem DaFoe as CIA agent Clark. Just about all of the actors in this movie are great, including Joaquim de Almeida, Donald Moffat, Henry Czerny (the slime dripping off his character might damage your TV), and Raymond Cruz. Not only is this one of my favorite spy/government intrigue movies, but it's just flat-out one of my favorite movies. Great story, great actors, great movie. Highly recommended.
Rating: Summary: CARE WITH YOUR BACK Review: Real hidden USA government plans against drugs or etc.

Rating: Summary: CLEAR AND PRESENT DANGER Review: First of all I love the scenes where they used the Special Forces Group aka Green Berets. My favorite scene is where the point leader steps on the door on the ground in the jungle until he yells to his men DOWN DOWN DOWN. The other scene is where they in the river and in a comabt situation. The faorite scene here is when the CO [Commanding offifer] the one in charge goes on the radio and says "Vairable this is Knife I am not receiving but i said we under heavy fire and need air support over."
Overall I would add this to my collection because it has several scenes where they were special forces [just actors playing the role of special forces]involved.
Rating: Summary: One of my all time favorite movies! Review: If you like federal agents being assasinated and mafia families getting killed at their wedding then this is the movie for you. I saw this movie nearly ten years ago, when things wasn't working well with my life. It was at a point I thought I was being blacklisted so bad that not even God didn't like me but when I saw Clear and Present Danger this was the movie that set apart the past from the future. The movie deals with constant conflict between government agencies and the ever infiltrating drugs cartel. The movie hops back and forth from residential Washingtion DC to the jungles and cities of Latin America. The plot twists, deceptions and the part when somebody twisted this women neck, snapping it and killing her all added to the sense that sets Clancy's based novel turned movies apart from all others.
Rating: Summary: A great political thriller Review: This thriller is chock full of action, intrigue, double-dealing and much more, with Jack Ryan battling bad men inside the U.S. government who seem to have tenuous ties to the Cali drug cartel. Ryan gets hoodwinked by very important members of the President's inner circle and finds himself in the middle of covert U.S. military operations that he swore under oath would never take place. The President wants to get even with the drug people who wipe out a close friend and his family and attempts to seize millions in drug profits, which is very un-presidential. The film's plot is complicated but also full of exciting twists and turns involving political maneuvering, murders, computer theft, surveillance, assassination attempts and botched rescue missions. The entire cast is solid, with Harrison Ford as the stalwart CIA operative who heroically tries to right the wrongs of his own government. Joaquim de Almeida is great as the legal advisor to the Cali hoods, and Henry Czerny is chilling as the compromised CIA Deputy Director. Willem Dafoe, with his barracuda smile, is also good in a brief role as a Colombian-based CIA contact.
Rating: Summary: best drug war Review: THIS IS BY FAR THE MOST REAL DOPE WAR MOVIE I LOOOOOOOOOOOVVVVVVVVVVVEEEEEDDDD IT.
