Rating: Summary: Goldeneye Review: Goldeneye is SO great.I must of saw it 10 times. As a Mega-Bond fan (see screen name),this movie is one of the best.I loved the pyrotechnices, the plot, and the FXs END
Rating: Summary: Heheh... Tina Turner made this movie exciting... Review: I'm giving this movie 4 stars for one very big reason - Tina Turner. I bought it because she did the theme song and that's why I've watched it 20 or 30 times now. Yeah, there's action and all that other stuff but you can get that in any movie. Where else can you find the diva herself singing such an alluring, sexy song? (Wait! Don't tell me she did something with Mel Gibson. I have that one too!) END
Rating: Summary: Great Movie Review: Even though I have only read 1 James Bond book, I an a big fan . All the suspense made this a great story. I highly recomened this book to everyone. END
Rating: Summary: Great Movie Review: This was a good James Bond movie. The story was very interesting, and it held your interest. I don't think there was enough action in this movie, though. But, it's still a good movie and it is worth buying. END
Rating: Summary: Suspenseful Review: This is a great James Bond movie for several reasons. This movie not only has the ususal action and thrills as any James Bond movie, but thsi one has a more developed plot then some of them. This one has some betrayal action happening. Janus (the bad guy) decideds to take out London for the past. The only reason I gave this a 9 instead of a ten was first, no body will ever be as good as Sean Conery, and second, there is a small error. They said 006 was a man where in one of the early movies 006 is a woman. This, as a true James Bond fan, bothers me. Over all I would watch this many times. In fact I own it and have done so. END
Rating: Summary: Suspensful Review: This is the best 007 movie ever. It has a lot of cool things like trains exploding, Tanks, Helicopters, and of course all the women James Bond wins. Also, due to new technology the scenes are so much better. END
Rating: Summary: Bond Enters The 90's! Review: "GoldenEye" is a good James Bond movie, but it is not a great one. This was the first film to be made after the six-year hiatus since "Licence To Kill" and it had the hard task of updating the character for the politically correct 90's. It also gave the series itself a bit of a makeover, and this comes with mixed results. First of all, the film introduced Pierce Brosnan as the new Bond, and even though he has gotten better over the years, his debut here is a good one. The casting of Judi Dench as Bond's boss came as a surprise to many at the time, but the results are wonderful. The Bond girl (Izabella Scorupco) this time around is a good one, both in the looks and intelligence departments. However, the film's real standout is Famke Janssen as a sadistic Russian assassin with killer thighs (literally!). She definitely belongs in Bond's hall of fame. Unfortunately, the head villain, though interesting in premise, doesn't live up to his initial promise. The film itself drags in some moments. Boris, the Russian computer geek is a truly annoying character, and Bond's new BMW Roadster isn't used at all in the way we expect. The score by Eric Serra is also highly ineffective. On a positive note though, Robbie Coltrane is a welcome addition to the series, and most of the stunts, particularly the ones in the opening, as well as the tank chase through St. Petersburg, are indeed superb.
Rating: Summary: Good movie GREAT femme fatale Review: I loved Goldeneye because of: a) Tank chase through St. Petersburg b) The bungee jump off the dam c) The humour d) Isabella Scorupco's performance and e) Famke Janssen's absolutely perfect, deadly femme fatale Xenia Onnatopp. She's the best, absolutely, the best Bond villain/girl EVER! Ilove Famke Janssen, but I've only seen her in this and X-Men. I can't find others anywhere. But I'm sure you ain't reading this to hear about me going on about Famke Janssen. The plot- Bond (superb Pierce Brosnan) is investigating a French anti-electric tampering helicopter, the 'Tiger', when it's stolen by Xenia Onnatopp, a fellow car enthusiast who is linked to a Russian terrorist group Janus. At MI6, it is discovered a Russian satellite base was struck by an EMP weapon from space known as 'Goldeneye'. Bond then begins his search for 'Janus', the head of the terrorist group, and soon meets up with one of 2 survivors from te EMP strike, Natalya, Isabella Scorupco, and soon discovers a global threat to technology, banking resources, and people's lives. Excellent new Bond here. Brosnan's first Bond's is one of his best. Cheesy explosion sounds annyoed me, and the missing action sequence with Bond's car, the BMW Z3 Roadster is completely missing. But good casting and sets etc. prove that Bond could go on forever, or at least until the films become unprofitable. (Hee hee)
Rating: Summary: Go for the Gold! Review: With Sean Bean in the role of 006, Brosnan has tough competition as an actor and as eye-candy. Bond definately meets his match in 006, physically and strategically, adding tension and suspense to the many great action scenes. Action aside, I think Bond has three women in this film, so it's none to short of his usual sexual flamboyancy. Goldeneye remains my favorite of all the Bond films. If I could only own one, this would be it. Enjoy!
Rating: Summary: 2nd Best Bond movie Review: This is the next best Bond movie after Tomorrow Never Dies, but it has the best musical score out of any Bond movie. The composer, Eric Serra, should score another Bond movie in the future.
