Summary: brosnan is bond
Review: Pierce Brosnan did an excellent job as bond. I mean he isn't as good as sean connery but what bond ever is. The movie was exxcellent it had a good villan Sean Bean's was the best bad guy the bond movie has had since jaws. It had an excellent bond girl in this movie she was beautiful and smart. The only thing i didnt like about this movie was that he didnt blow up his car or fight anybody in his car he just drove to cuba in it. I mean it was a great car but there was no car chase seen but the movie was great anyway.I hope brosnan will come back to make several more bond movies. I have yet to see Tommorow Never Dies and World is not Enough but after seeing golden eye i am eager to see those movies also.

Summary: Fantastic Modern Bond
Review: Who would have thought that Pierce Brosnan - with his somewhat haughty Boomer demeanor - would make such a terrific Bond? Moreover, with director Martin Campbell at the helm, this is surely one of the swiftest, smartest and most engaging Bond movies in years.

If you've stayed away from Bond for a while (and who can blame you with the likes of "Octupussy," along with other later Roger moore efforts), give Bond another try by starting with "Goldeneye." It really does succeed in bringing Bond into the modern era. Kudos to all involved.

Summary: P.C. enters the Bond world.
Review: First of all James Bond strength has always been his anti-estblihment attitude. His wisecracks, sexist attitude, devil may care ways endeared him to those sick of the confines of modern society. This first installment of the Brosnan Bond starts us down the P.C. road. James Bond as a P.C. role model who would of thought. Action scences are good, plot is good, Bond women are so-so [no names to make you snicker ], Plot is good, but Brosnan in the end is just a liitle wanting in the Bond swagger. Where are you when we need you Sean.

Summary: A premature debut for Pierce Brosnan.
Review: This is Pierce Brosnan's most grueling debut ever. Before "GoldenEye", Pierce Brosnan never starred in anything remotley resembling action. All the casting department was searching for was a man with rugged good looks, and pushed the most important factor, experience, completley out of the gun barrel.

That was the mistake that made this movie a flop.

You see, I wanted to see this movie overall for one reason: to see if it really is as good as the smash hit GoldenEye N64 game. And I wanted to see it on DVD because I was attracted by all the outstanding extras typical of a James Bond special edition DVD, but I wanted to see the movie first, because paying nearly 27 bucks for only DVD extras is a waste of money. I saw the movie, and I was absolutley disgusted. Pierce Brosnan's line delivery is virtually lifeless, he doesn't appear threatening at all in the movie, and in short, doesn't at all fill the requirements of dangerousness, slickness, and hair style that makes James Bond a one-hit-wonder. He just acts like life is a big party and only he is invited.

So, in other words, completley ignore GoldenEye. If you want to see Pierce Brosnan at his absolute best James Bond, see "The World Is Not Enough". It's in this movie Pierce has far more experience as James Bond, and it pays off big as it makes him the best James Bond he can possibly be.

Please take my advice, avoid GoldenEye at all costs and go straight for The World Is Not Enough.

Summary: Remarkable Bond
Review: This bond was one of the best yet. Pierce Brosnan fits the role of a womanizing action star magnificiently. The action and acting was amazing.

This movie is totally worth buying, it's writing, acting, effects, and action are off the charts.

Summary: Bond Enters The 90's!
Review: "GoldenEye" is a good James Bond movie, but it is not a great one. This was the first film to be made after the six-year hiatus since "Licence To Kill" and it had the hard task of updating the character for the politically correct 90's. It also gave the series itself a bit of a makeover, and this comes with mixed results. First of all, the film introduced Pierce Brosnan as the new Bond, and even though he has gotten better over the years, his debut here is a good one. The casting of Judi Dench as Bond's boss came as a surprise to many at the time, but the results are wonderful. The Bond girl (Izabella Scorupco) this time around is a good one, both in the looks and intelligence departments. However, the film's real standout is Famke Janssen as a sadistic Russian assassin with killer thighs (literally!). She definitely belongs in Bond's hall of fame. Unfortunately, the head villain, though interesting in premise, doesn't live up to his initial promise. The film itself drags in some moments. Boris, the Russian computer geek is a truly annoying character, and Bond's new BMW Roadster isn't used at all in the way we expect. The score by Eric Serra is also highly ineffective. On a positive note though, Robbie Coltrane is a welcome addition to the series, and most of the stunts, particularly the ones in the opening, as well as the tank chase through St. Petersburg, are indeed superb.

Summary: Possibly the greatest movie of all time!
Review: Goldeneye is one of the best movies ever. It has lots of action, romance, drama, and a great plot. I would definently recommend this movie for anyone. I would probably say it is the best Bond movie as well.
