Summary: Brosnan gives Connery a run for his money!
Review: This is it. The best Bond movie to date. Brosnan is as good as Connery, what Dalton tried to be, and what Moore couldn't be. Thank God, Brosnan made Bond popular again or else the 90s would have been the decade of the DIE HARD rip offs.

Summary: 007 returns to the big screen armed and ready.
Review: "My name is Bond, James Bond". Pierce Brosnan delivers that most famous line without hesitation. He grew up watching Sean Connery play the spy and now it is his turn to be Bond. Brosnan had a chance to play 007, but couldn't because of prior engagements, so they handed the role to Timothy Dalton. Pierce Brosnan takes the reigns from Dalton and takes the drivers seat in "Tomorrow Never Dies". I felt in "GoldenEye", Brosnan wasn't real comfortable playing the character, but now he is ready and does it without even thinking about it. James Bond jumps into action right where he left off in "GoldenEye". "Tomorrow Never Dies" is a great movie and I feel you will enjoy as much as I do.

Summary: What kind of movie did I watch?
Review: This absoulutely one of the worst James Bond films ever made and of the year 1997. This film almost failed in everywhere. Over last twenty five years, Bond has became even last vulnerable than Superman or The Incredible Hulk. He even relies more on his gagdets than Batman ever does, and so many unhumorous one-lines that have already been used in other movies. The producers have turned Bond to a superhuman Rambo/Batman self-parodying ripoff. Beside Bond, the movie is even more disastrous and unbearable. Even do I am not big action fan. I still have seen better action movies. The plot is just nonexisting and plain stupid like some of other Bond films with some sort megalomanic trying to start World War III or something. Michelle Yeoh was an above average Bond girl(much better than Tanya Roberts or Talisa Soto)not too bad. Teri Hatcher was taken space in film for no apparent, but not be to harsh she really didn't because plot just nonexisting. Tomorrow Never Dies box-office peformance was sort of a disappointment beacuse I think took around eighty-million dollars and it only made around ninety-six, but it was release on the same weekend as Scream 2 which also was sort of bad compared to first one and with Titanic being released a week later. In 1977, The Spy Who Loved Me made seventy-nine million at box-office, still that year it still was beaten by the great Science Fiction that is just so much bigger than Bond since that time period. Then in 1979, Moonraker was released and grossed eighty-seven million at box-office, but trash by critics. My point is that both TSWLM and Moonraker were made more than twenty years ago and almost grossed nearly as much as Tomorrow Never Dies. Plus, this film keeps destroying Ian Fleming's masterpiece. If Ian Fleming came back to life, he probably feel cheated of his own material. Roger Moore's first two movie as the superhuman spy (Live and Let Die and The Man with the Golden Gun) were ten times better any Pierce Brosnan's outings as the spy and I had much more plausbility with Moore's outings because they just better made movies. Still, this was a bad movie for anybody. I've already seen the trailer for the next Bond for and it looks like it is going to suck more than this movie. I can see that quote "Goodbye Mr. Bond" is coming very soon.

Summary: Special effects in Dolby Digital
Review: This was not the best action movie that i have seen but i buy the movies because i love dolby digital and heavy rear channel effects. This is one of the greatest sounding movies other than The Rock.

Summary: Worst Bond movie of them all.
Review: I don't want to trash Brosnan; in many ways he's the ultimate Bond(though some 10 years too late), but this film is without a doubt the worst 007 movie in history. Nothing against the cast; they do what they can, but the thing that I never thought could take place in a Bond movie, happens here endlessly. -Boredom!. It began with "Goldeneye", and it's gotten worse. James Bond movies have started to look like a big-scale Dolph Lundgren action-flick, or something. Where's the imagination of the Moore-era !?. Where are the interesting characters ?. Where's the good story ?. They've become just another big-budget "blow 'em up"-actioner. Boring!. They're too serious, too dark, running from one desperate explotion to the next, lacking any kind of humour or memorable scenes. It's the end of 007, I'm afraid. You may resign now, "Mr.Bore".

Summary: Relentless action makes Bond look like Die Hard
Review: Pierce Brosnan is an okay Bond. He's not as suave as Sean Connery or as cold as Timothy Dalton, but he looks the part and doesn't make it a farce. However, Brosnan's abilities go largely unnoticed in Tomorrow Never Dies because the movie painfully panders to a younger audience who wants more action and less story. So that's what we get with Bond on the trail of a multi-media mogul with eyes on causing world war III so as to reap the profits from its media coverage. It's a nice idea with bad results, by Bond standards. First, the best Bond movies have an element of suspense to them. Tomorrow has none. Second, the action is limited in proportion to the story. While Tomorrow's opening teaser is one of the best in the series, we're deluged with relentless violence that offers one climax after another. Finally, the villian is supposed to be eccentric. But who cares about bigger ratings as a premise for Elliot Carver's madness? When it's all said and done, maybe Tomorrow should have casted Bruce Willis as Bond since the apalling amount of action is better suited for Die Hard than a 007 movie.

Summary: Though A Step Down, Tomorrow Still Pulls Through
Review: Tomorrow Never Dies is a good, exciting Bond film. Here Pierce Brosnan seems more at ease with the role, and Jonathan Pryce is engaging as the demented media mogul intent on starting World War III so he can have exclusive broadcast rights. The plot manages to touch on classic Bond with a strong dose of Network - an incompatible mixture than nonetheless works.

The film's main flaw is that it foolishly lets Red China off the hook. Given the recent bullying by Peking toward Taiwan and its theft of American nuclear secrets, letting China off the hook is bad plotting.

The ending was something of a disappointment, but overall Tomorrow works out.

Summary: Not so bad!
Review: This is one of the weakest Bond films. But, this "special edition" DVD makes up for it with the "extras" and a stunning transfer - fantastic picture! The audio commentary is a bit boring though, which I found surprising!

Summary: Pretty good.
Review: Pierce Brosnan returns in his second outing as Bond. Good action scenes, but isn't quite as good as GoldenEye. But this is still highly recommended for action/007 fans.

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: Even DVD doesn't help this Bond film.
Review: This was perhaps one of the worst Bond movies ever! A dry plot, uninteresting Bond girls, and a silly villain, make this movie down right boring. There were perhaps two action scenes that were a little exciting, but that is it! Although, one good quality this movie has is the intro. Sheryl Crow and that computer animation were a perfect match!!! It is TREMENDOUS on DVD!!! I also commend MGM for producing DVD's the RIGHT WAY. That is using hard plastic cases, both formats of the movie (widescreen and standard) on one side of the disc, and a nice display menu. Too often you find DVD only with the widescreen or in those cardboard snap cases, which I HATE!!! Thank you MGM!!!
