Summary: NOT GORY, BUT BORING.
Review: This movie is not gross, or shocking, or cutting edge. It's a boring guys fantasy about what it would be like to be somebody with nuts. THAT SUMS UP THE QT experiance.... The revenge fantasies of a nerd, who thinks he's a tough guy now that he lives in LA, had a hair transplant and rips off finer movies plot structures. Too bad the films he makes get so much hype, when Badlands, Bonnie and Clyde etc, were all better movies than his. Hell. I'd rather watch the muppets.

Summary: "Cool Movie" for Lame People
Review: It's sad, but if you look at it, Tarentino was a big spike of hype because NOTHING ELSE was happening. This guy made a career by ripping off and disecting finer films and he still sucks. THE WORST, being his own, ugly cameo roles, which slow movies to absolute halts. His sickening, saddening ego must be vanquished, so that actual, cool and less pathetically juvenile films can be made again. Good hair implants though, DUDE.

Summary: "You shoot me in a dream you better wake up and apoligize"
Review: Quentin Tarantino is a director that brings real life violence to the big screen. This is his first film and I have to say, bravo. I'm not really into gangster movies, but I heard good things about this film, so I took a chance. It is a masterpiece that will never be forgotten. It's a heist picture, with no actual heist. Tarantino went in a different direction with "Reservoir Dogs" by not showing the actual robbery, but it's visualized with descriptions provided by the characters. That's what made this film so great. This is a definite-must buy.

Summary: Buy it, Love it
Review: This is by far my favorite movie ever made.(Not like it matters to any of you)Written and Directed by the genius Quentin Tarantino it tells the story of a group of pieced together thieves who plan to rob a whole lot of diamonds but things get botched and all hell breaks loose. My favorite thing about this film is the brilliant dialogue, almost every line is quotable. The whole casts performances are outstanding especially Michael Madsen as the vicious Vic Vega. From the hilarious breakfast scene to the final gun battle this film is hands down an absolute classic.

Review: Reservoir Dogs

A storyline that is so simple that when I tell it to you, you will be sure that you have heard it before. But, trust me, although you may have heard the plot before you will not have seen the plot portrayed like this. This is because Reservoir Dogs is "Simple but Different".

The Storyline:
Five criminals are brought together by a character called Joe (think comic-book character Kingpin). Joe brings these criminals together to carry out a heist. But, the heist goes terribly wrong. What could be more simple than that, right?
Yes, I know you may have heard it before. But, trust me, Reservoir Dogs is Different.

Difference 1: The Time-Frame
The heist goes wrong. You may be saying to yourself: 'He has just given away the ending'. But, this is where you would be mistaken. The heist does go wrong. But we, the viewers, discover this well within the first ten minutes of the film. For the film starts off with the end (think 'Pulp Fiction', 'Memento', 'Rashomon').
Pulp Fiction is credited for its unique muddled time-sequence but this style was first present in Reservoir Dogs, QT's under-rated directorial debut. In fact, Pulp-Fiction is credited with a great deal (and, rightly so) but many of the plauded techniques are just repeats of what was already tried and tested in Reservoir Dogs. Reservoir Dogs -the film that came BEFORE Pulp Fiction.

Difference 2: The Dialogue
For instance, RD was the first film I saw where a piece of dialogue did not have a hidden agenda (i.e. it was not there to further the plot of the film). The dialogue was just there. This technique was groundbreaking in that it added an immense sense of realism for the viewer (you feel like you are right there!). For instance, the conversation pieces that take place in the cafe at the beginning of RD are hysterical; especially, the reasoning of Steve Buscemi's character on why he doesn't tip; as well as an intriguing analysis on the lyrics to a well-known Madonna Song. Indeed, these have become classics of cinema dialogue in their own right. However, is it RD that ever receives the plaudits for this technique? No. The applause is showered on RD's much more glossier bigger sister, Pulp Fiction (esp. to Vincent Vega: 'Do you know what they call a Big Mac in France?')

Difference 3: The Soundtrack
Everyone loves to rave on and on about the Pulp Fiction soundtrack. But, the RD soundtrack is equally superb. Soundtracks and Music play a large part in QT's films. Sometimes, their role in the film is larger than some of the actors/actresses. QT's films and his choice of music complement one another perfectly; so much so that one becomes empty without the other. A perfect example is the playing of 'Little Green Bag' to the criminals' Rat-Pack walk.
I remember, a few days after watching the film, trying to fiddle with my radio dial in order to find 'K-Billy's Super Sounds of the Seventies'. Unfortunately, I discovered that the station does not exist! However, I did not hesitate to buy the soundtrack and continuously play 'Stuck In The Middle With You'. A song that is impossible to forget especially because of the psychedelic performance by Michael Madsen that accompanies the scene in which the song is played.

Difference 4: The Actors
There is no such thing as a mediocre actor only a mediocre performance. Mr Tarantino definitely knows how to get the best performances out of his actors (think John Travolta in Pulp Fiction). Indeed, many of the actors in Reservoir Dogs were unknowns when the film was released (apart from Harvey Keitel - but, even he was far from being a household name ). However, this fact should not perturb you into thinking that the actors are untalented. Indeed, you are unlikely to come across a better performance by Michael Madsen in a long long time; Tim Roth has been unheard of since starring in Reservoir Dogs; and as always, Steve Buscemi is hilariously perfect as the hypochondriac criminal.

Difference 5: Reservoir Dogs is Memorable
The film has moments that will stick in your memory well after you have seen the film. A few of my favourite moments are:
'The Rat-Pack walk' at the beginning to the sounds of 'Little Green Bag'
'The oh-so-famous Ear scene' in the middle to the sounds of 'Stuck In The Middle With You'

'The Four-way Mexican Showdown' at the end to the sound of silence.

People tend to fall into three categories with regards to this film.

1st category = People who have seen the film and thus hold the opinion that the violence and swearing within the film is balanced by the film's storyline.

2nd category = People who are going to see the film and thus do not yet hold an opinion on the film.

3rd Category = People who have not seen the film
If you are in the 2nd and 3rd category, I would sincerely urge you to watch this film. If you are still not convinced, all I can say is that the chances are that QT will be around for a long time causing controversy along the way. Why not see where it all started?

Hope you found this review helpful.

Review: Reservoir Dogs is tarantinos best film. It was also his first. It tells the story about a perfect robbery by a perfect gang wich has the leadings of harvie ketel,Tarantino, michal madesin and more. What they find out is it is a damn setup!

One of there members was a rat! But who? Soon you'll find out and over all it was by far one of the my most favorite films.
It shows how the male bond handles through in situations were
you go crazy. It is filled with violence and foul language but hey! Its a gangster movie so what can you say huh!

It will forever be tarantinos best film than pulp fiction.

Summary: Garbage
Review: Silly robbery heist story, that makes no sense at all, incredibly derivative. After a botched heist, you go back to the warehouse, when you suspect the cops were on the inside??? Never...

The old man in charge would show up at said warehouse to find out what went wrong???? Never, yet again...

Once again, we see Tarantino inserting himself into all the characters "clever" commentary...

What garbage....and I believe that the dvd is missing some controversial scenes from the VHS version.

avoid at all costs

Summary: Tarantino gives brilliant debut in the world of directing
Review: In Reservoir Dogs Quentin Tarantino amazingly shows his creativity and directing-skills. the film deals with four gangsters hired by a mafia boss planning a diamond heist. in the first scene the theives are sitting in a restaurant and talk about celebrities. still, everything seems quiet and peaceful, in the next scenes, however, the film showes its real face, full of violence.
During the film Tarantino introduces the four gangsters by using flashbacks, which later becomes kind of a trademark for Tarantino-films. Further Tarantino plays in an impressive way with camera- shots and -angles.
All in all Reservoir Dogs is a masterpiece of a gangsterfilm and absolutely recommendable. If you haven't seen it yet, go and get it!

Summary: good movie
Review: This movie is intense and powerfull. I hate all thouse poeple who said that the violence was pointless. THIS IS WHAT MIGHT HAVE HAPPEN IN REAL LIFE!!! The script is what classic is from and the angles and shots are great. The cast was unbeleaveble like Mr. White, Mr. Pink, and Mr. Blound. Although they say alot of pedistrence was killed. You dont see that. QT is a slick smart and powerfull writer. I cant wait to see Kill Bill and Pulp Fiction.
