Summary: Above average, but just barely.
Review: A slightly above-average thriller/suspense/chase/adventure type movie. Good acting and coherent plot help to move the story along.

Summary: Solid Acting and Good Story Line
Review: Although it is not the most action-packed movie in the world, it does provide very good character development. This is a movie to watch when you are alone and want to really get into a story. It takes time to develop, but overall, a very good movie. If you expect action or a thumping heart, this movie isn't for you. A wonderful performance from Danny Glover...one of his best.

Summary: A real sleeper, surprised it didn't do better at theatres!
Review: An excellent movie: great acting, good script, and plot and lots of great action. The only disappointment was that the killer is revealed a little too early, but other than that, we're going to buy the DVD!

Summary: A masterpiece...
Review: As quoted from a online review some time ago: "Switchback never derails....", this film is sure to be worth your time. Beautiful scenery, a wonderfully mixed cast (althought at times Quaid is on the dry side), and spectaculat stunt sequences, Switchback is a masterpiece. Perhaps the plot is predictable and you automatically know that Glover is the killer by reading the cover of the box (they should of put Jared Leto on the cover too, so that the viewer couldn't predict who exactly the killer was), this delightful movie is a enjoyable flick to the end of the credits.

Summary: Pretty good, but kinda boring at the same time.
Review: Danny Glover is a good actor, and so is Dennis Quaid, that I will give this fair movie credit for.

The only problem with it was that the killer(Glover) left too many clues after he killed his victims. Like for example, he kept killing them in the same fashion, with that knife in a certain area. A good killer like the one in 'Nightwatch' mixes it up and makes sure to keep his killing technique and who he is totally secret. So anyway, there wasn't THAT much suspense to it, but 'Nightwatch' is a masterpiece on the part about 'who did it?'. It had some exciting chase scenes though and yes, even the acting of that young guy was pretty good.

Overall, this movie was so-so.

Summary: WHITE SNOW, RED BLOOD AND GREY KILLER
Review: Directed by Jeb Stuart, co-writer of DIE HARD and THE FUGITIVE, SWITCHBACK is a movie which deserves more than the polite silence surrounding it.

It's winter in Colorado and a FBI agent is tracing a serial killer. He has to cope with his superiors who don't want him anymore to solve this case and with local sheriffs more concerned by their reelection than by the arrest of the killer.

And there's a third guy in the chase who might or might be not involved in this cat and mouse game. You always believe to be a step ahead of the hunter but you soon have to admit that the director plays with your nerves.

Dennis Quaid and Danny Glover are really good in this movie, playing characters of multiple dimensions. There are also a lot of suspense and riveting action.

Too bad that the bonus features are not at the level of the movie.

A not to be put aside DVD.

Summary: Predictable but Entertaining action film; Glover is great!
Review: Even though predictable after a point, this action film is enjoyable to watch. Dennis Quaid is rigid and emotionless as the FBI agent pursuing a serial killer who has kidnapped his son. Danny Glover does a fine job in his role as Bob Goodall. Maybe some of us have become so used to his portrayal of Roger Murtaugh in the Lethal Weapon series that it was easy to accept the charisma of his character in this film. The other good performance in this film is Sheriff Buck Olmstead, played by R. Lee Ermey.

I agree with other reviewers that the killer's identity should have been a mystery a while longer. For the early part of the film, the clues are pointing in both directions and the viewer isn't really sure. But after the killer's identity is known, the action picks up and the usual violence and blood of an action film take over. There are some moments of tension in the ending chase scenes, and while the outcome is easy to anticipate, they are entertaining.

If nothing else, just seeing the upholstery in Glover's car is worth a chuckle.

Summary: Good action flick
Review: Hell's bells. Citizen Kane it ain't, but I liked the damn thing.

The Amazon reviewer should learn to relax a bit.
