Summary: Some hate it, some love it
Review: Some hate it, some love it. Quinten Tarentino's Pulp Fiction is the best movie of the 90's and no movie since could match its impact on American cinema. Tarentino's vision is totaly his, ideas for Pulp Fiction have been lingering in his head for years. Its everything he wanted to see in a move, and belive me hes seen them all. The film has been studied by film students and praised by many critics, but some feel it is to violent. Pulp Fiction at times can be violent but the film is about so much more. By using real life like dialoge the actors are much more real- witch makes the violece much more real. but its seems The actors are having fun, and thats what movies are all about. Tarentino is like like a novelist and his twist and turns leave the audience dizzy. He is a true student of film and a great writer/director. He was not schooled in film so he has no guidelines no rules, he just makes what he wants to see. Many films after have been influenced by PULP because of its freshness and creativness. Tarentino is like a kid in toy store when hes making movies, and it shows on screen. Its as if Tatentino had taken everything he loved about the genre and put into Pulp Fiction. Its is one of the greatest movies of all time.

Summary: Deserves 10
Review: how can a film be considered a cult classic AND the most influential film of the 1990's (i don't care what anybody else says - this is THE DEFINITIVE film for my generation)? "Pulp Fiction" is obsessed over in psuedo-intellectual, pot-induced conversations, can be seen at midnight showings in any good college town, yet still changed the mainstream in a way that made SO MANY subsequent films seem like rip-offs (the only other film in recent memory as copied is "The Matrix" - and "Pulp Fiction" is much more engaging and philisophical than that film). I can't say enough about this film, this edition, or the impact that Quentin Tarantino has had on contemporary film.

Summary: The comic storyline only tarentino can create
Review: director Quentin Tarantino revisits the seedier side of Los Angeles--following 1992's RESERVOIR DOGS--with this funny, violent, tongue-in-cheek tribute to the less "classic" side of filmmaking--the potboilers and capers, the Blaxploitation flicks and gangster movies. The film interweaves three tales, told in a circular, fractured manner, which only fully connect by the time the final credits roll. The first story focuses on Vincent Vega (John Travolta) and Jules Winnfield (Samuel L. Jackson), two hit men on duty for "the big boss," Marsellus Wallace (Ving Rhames), whose gorgeous wife, Mia (Uma Thurman), takes a liking to Vincent. In the second, a down-and-out pugilist (Bruce Willis), who is ordered to take a fall, decides that there's more money in doing the opposite. The final chapter follows a pair of lovers (Amanda Plummer and Tim Roth) as they prepare to hold up a diner.

Tarantino wears his cinematic influences proudly, bringing them to life in the ironically hip, self-referential 1990s. The result is a work that changed the face of independent cinema forever, making it a legitimate player in the Hollywood mainstream. The all-star cast steps into their roles with obvious glee, and Tarantino once again uses his soundtrack to up the "cool" ante yet another notch, making for a motion picture event that has worked its way into our national vernacular.

Summary: One of Tarantino's best...and I'm only 15!!
Review: Some of the reviews for Pulp Fiction state that "this movie is not meant children un 18"..which i think is totally untrue and insulting!! Although younger children wouldn't appreciate or understand it, I don't think people should be excluding us from movie history. Someone also said that it makes "drug-taking seem cool." On the contrary, my friend!! I think this movie would scare most people out of doing drugs, especially after seeing Uma Thurman OD and almost die while sneaking some of Travolta's secret stash. Not all kids are immature or stupid and copy everything they see in the media...so don't judge us!!!
Besides the writing and directing talents of Quentin Tarantino, the actors and actresses are what really make the movie. He sticks with the same actors, such as Harvey Keitel, Tim Roth, Uma Thurman, and (if you look closely) Steve Buscemi. John Travolta, Samuel L. Jackson, Bruce Willis, and Tarantino himself also star in this "3 part" classic. Christopher Walken also has a quick cameo in this movie which is one of the best parts.
Don't miss the movie that put Travolta back on the map, and is such a great part of pop culture history.

Summary: Overrated Garbage.
Review: 'Pulp Fiction' is overrated garbage. I don't what most people find so wonderful in this pile of junk, but it is just a waste of time and has too much bad dialogue in it.

Summary: One of the best films of the 90's...or ever
Review: I rented this with a friend, after I heard that the movie I was dying to see (Kill Bill) was directed by Tarantino. I didn't quite know what to expect. It looked incredible, lengthy (about 2 and a half hours) and stylish. I popped the video into the VCR and Tarantino had two new fans.
This film is amazing. There are so many things going on, chopped up and placed in different parts of the film (that Tarantino-style way). It was shocking, horrific, and hilarious, all at the same time! ("So I stab her three times..." will have you laughing if not quivering at that huge needle) The mini-stories eventually tie together in the end. You might want to see this twice in order for it to make perfect sense.
The soundtrack is...well, I've never heard a soundtrack quite like this one. Every song in this movie is enjoyable! I am thinking about buying the CD, if not the other Tarantino CDs, because not only does he know how to make a good movie, he knows how to make an incredible compilation album.
WARNING: This movie does have a lot of drugs, violence and gore, sex (NOT the kind you always see in movies), and, of course, buckets of "Mutha******" words. The heroin scene is very, very realistic and the cocaine overdose scene is one of the most shocking and disturbing scenes I've ever seen (but it's also quite funny...and no, I'm not sick, they are actually funny)
Think you can handle it? See the movie. You will not regret it, and if you do like it, see "Reservoir Dogs" and maybe "Jackie Brown" (my least favorite Tarantino movie)

Summary: This is, by far, my favorite film of all time
Review: Pulp Fiction is the type of movie anyone can enjoy. It displays a style and perfection not paralleled since the days of Sergio Leone. If you're like me and appreciate violence in movies this movie more than delivers. If you appreciate directorial style, use of music and cinamatography, or great acting, this is likely to also be on your top ten list. If you like being placed in a world that is both believable and imaginative, this is your film! The two things that people notice about Tarantino's films are the nonlinear plotlines and realistic dialogue. What most critics overlook is the way he censors himself from the truth until the point where it would be most entertaining. This movie will always take you by surprize and is one of the most fun movie-viewing times you will ever have!

Summary: You can never go wrong with Tarantino!
Review: Yes, let's all thank Tarantino once again for creating one of the most original, enjoyable, brilliant, and flat-out greatest movies ever made. Tarantino does have a psychotic way of expressing his originality in "Pulp Fiction" (pervasive language, pervasive violence), but there's just something about this movie that makes you want to watch it over and over again. The kinky charisma between John Travolta and Uma Thurman alone is worth viewing this movie. Their dance scene at Jack Rabbit Slim's is (in my opinion) the most memorable.

Bruce Willis fit into his role of prizefighter Butch perfectly. No one else could have done it like him. Samuel L. Jackson (being one my favorite actors) gave a powerful and stunning performance as hitman Jules. He always mamages to add the right amount of humor to his character. As I mentioned earlier, John Travolta (as hitman Vincent) and Uma Thurman (as Mia) mastered their roles and gave drop-dead amazing performances. Ving Rhames also gave a very powerful performance as Marsellus Wallace, Mia's husband. Harvey Keitel gave a masterful performance as well as his role of "the Wolf". And may I not forget Christopher Walken (one of my most favorite actors of all time) whose monologue was the one of the highlights (if not THE highlight) and one of the most memorable scenes in "Pulp Fiction." Unfortunately, Walken wasn't given a bigger part, but no matter what role he's given, he always manages to light up the screen with his superb acting. The rest of the cast which includes Tim Roth (as Pumpkin), Amanda Plummer (as Honey Bunny), Eric Stoltz (as Lance), Rosanna Arquette (as Jody), and Maria de Medeiros (as Fabienne) all give powerhouse performances. Hey, even Quentin Tarantino himself gives a cameo!

Pure classic, pure entertainment, pure brilliance, pure originality -- "Pulp Fiction" has it all!! See it. Love it. Buy it. Love it even more.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: I'd give it six stars if I could--
Review: If this flick stood on the merits of its final ten minutes wherein Samuel L. Jackson delivers one of the best acting performances in any flick ever made, that would be enough. As it is, there is so much more to see. Great acting, great directing, great flick. See it, if you haven't already!
