Summary: A guy film, I guess
Review: I watched this with my girlfriend last night. I loved it & she was less enthused.

Cage goes way over the top in this one. If you're a fan of ol' Nick, ya gotta see this movie.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: One Heck of an Excellent Film
Review: What can I say? This is a great movie! I saw it 4 times in the theater and have an authentic movie poster framed in my room. No sooner did this come out, and I had to get it. The camera shots are new and very smooth to the eye. It's easy to follow, unlike some mysteries. Great movie!

Summary: A different take on the suspense thriller...
Review: I saw Snake Eyes when it was in the theaters and I was impressed. Nicolas Cage gives an unusual performance that only he could act. Gary Sinise is also very good. This DVD is great in the Dolby Digital 5.1 because you get all of the atmospheric sounds that are in the movie's storyline. A great film that is worthy of being a DVD.

Summary: Predictable But Artsy
Review: Within the first 10 minutes, I could see the evil culprits. Although that was the case for me, it may not be the case for everyone. The flashbacks made the movie interesting and the use of cameras in odd places was effective and enjoyable. I really didn't care for the ending but if I tell you why it will give away the ending. Sorry

Summary: A different kind of thriller
Review: Okay so the majority of critics didn't really go for this one. Why? Cause it's different. This isn't a slam-bang action Brukhiemer film, nor is it an suspenseful-scary thriller. The film tries to be both in a way at once. It is sort of a stylish representation of an audience looking through a hidden camara. The audience acts as a jury by being expsed to all different views of different people that all converge in one situation. I think people watched it hoping for action ,they didn't get it, it's action not just the type like Con-air and the Rock, people wanted suspense, but this aint no teen-horror flick. This is a crime-thriller that throws in brilliant camara work and acting. This movie is pretty good. Forget that what the critics said, watch it and don't expect BOOM!!! Rat-tat-tat!!!!!Hasta-vista-baby. The movie is finely executed , but was seriously overlooked by audience and critics alike. Don't make the same mistake.

Summary: Incredibly Underrated and Incredibly Good
Review: If there were 4 1/2 stars, that's what I'd give this thrilling mystery-thriller. I love mysteries, and the "whodunnit" part of the plot wasn't that hard to guess, but since it's given away rather early on, the rest of the movie is never predictable. I can't say enough about Gary Sinise. Hopefully he won't be typecast after this role, but he is outstanding. Brian DePalma directs masterfully and I loved the camerawork. That's almost the best part of the movie. Viewers looking for a typical shoot 'em up Cage action movie should look elsewhere. But if you want a compelling mystery that's good in both acting and camerawork, take a peak at this movie.

Summary: DePalma has lost it.
Review: This was possibly the worst movie of 1998, save Godzilla. It's a story that somehow makes boxing, international intrigue, Las Vegas, and a hurricane immeasurably boring. The ending is laughable - this one's not even worth renting, in spite of the great cast (Cage, Sinise, etc.) Director DePalma tries some neat things (long initial take, bird's eye views of hotel rooms), but there's no point to any of them. Almost unwatchable.

Summary: TOO SHORT
Review: Needed more info and storyline. I was predicting a tasteful long Cage flick and got a semi ok short swiftly solved murder mystery. Brian De Palma fans may like this movie. Some people who enjoy direct, to the point movies that run 1 hour an 32 minutes, this is your flick.

Summary: HOW BAD CAN A MOVIE GET?
Review: Well, Ill tell you Snake Eye is so bad that I can't even stand to write the name out. Nick Cage is great in everything, don't get me wrong but don't see him in this. Now, the Rock is one of my favorite movies(See it and then buy it). I don't think I've ever hated a movie so much as this(except for Batman and Robin, its very close). It was also a very predictable movie with absolutely no thinking involved. The ending of the movie was the worst I ever seen, it just ended(with the storm and all happening at once). Give me a break.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A murder mystery that keeps you on the edge of your seat!
Review: Classic DePalma mixed with new age cage and sinese makes Snake Eyes a film that was totally under-rated by critics and movie-goers. Set in an Atlantic City arena during a boxing match, with a huge tropical storm ripping up the coast, the secretary of defence is assassinated. The rest of the film is set in a who-done-it atmosphere. The whole film takes place in real time and is one you shouldn't miss. Believe everything except your eyes!
