Summary: Tarantino's Touch
Review: This was the first Tarantino film I have seen, and I can really understand what all the fuss is about. He makes a pretty good plot into a hilarious, horrifying, chaotic, and most of all stylish gem of a gangster film. During this film you will always either be laughing out loud at the pure innocence of the offbeat conversations these criminals participate in, awestrucken at the originality of the placement of scenes and camera shots, or cringing in shock. And this is all to a flat out cool 70's soundtrack.

The cast of this film is one of the best that could be assembled. Every member of the heist is played perfectly, except I thought Keitel could have been a tad stronger. Steve Buscemi is terrific (as he always is), in his nervous-funny-tough guy way. Tierney is great, as well has Sean Penn and Tim Roth. But the man that steals the show is without doubt, "Mr. Blonde"- Michael Madsen.

Madsen gives one of the best performances I've seen in the past decade. His "Stuck in the Middle With You" scene will be branded in your mind for years to come.

If you liked this film, I suggest the Coens' "Fargo", which keeps up with the crime scheme-turned bloodfest-while also being extremely funny theme (though Buscemi isn't so lucky in it). Watch this film for the original and powerful directing, writting, and casting (also acting) of a future legend of the movies.

Summary: I'm defintiely getting the Mr. Brown cover
Review: 'Reservoir Dogs' was amazing. Quentin Tarantino is just simply brilliant. He's coming out with special editions of all of his films. Now THAT is brilliant. I'm getting all of those. I just think Quentin Tarantino is one of the greatest directors of the 90's. He also wrote 'True Romance' which is part two of a trilogy (The first one being 'Reservoir Dogs' and the last one being 'Pulp Fiction), though Quentin Tarantino didn't direct it. ... So I must say, Quentin Tarantino is my second favorite director (The first one being The Wachowski Brothers (I have all of their movies, too)). I must also say Quentin Tarantino puts the BEST music on his soundtracks. I think he pays attention to the best music and puts it on his soundtracks. Well, I must also say that I am definitely getting the version with Quentin Tarantino (Mr. Brown) on the cover. I also hope to see more good movies from him.

Summary: I walked out during the torture scene
Review: I have only walked out of a very few movies in my life, but this one takes the prize. To detail the torture of a bound officer is beyond the pale. Truly abhorent work. Shameful.

Summary: Dogs Rule!!!!
Review: It is about time this noirish gem received a first-class treatment. Gritty characters, kaleidoscopic technique, architectural design, and numerous hysterical lines make this signature film the rich classic that it is. My favorite line is Keitel's who, after graphically describing how to bust up someone's face to keep them quiet, says with gusto, "I'm hungry--let's get a taco". That is more psychopathic than all of Madsen's over-the-top hijinks, in my book. And...the Madonna rap, of course. Anyway--the story is simple--a heist gone sour as a precision plan unravels due to plain old human error. It is "The Asphalt Jungle" (how about DVD for THAT one!) updated to the 90's, but in terms of technique and flashback time-frame design, Dogs is spiritually closer to "The Killing", another heist-gone-wrong affair. Couldn't love this film more, and I think it is a bit more bare-bones and pure than Pulp Fiction. My only tentative complaint about this upcoming edition is that it has no commentary track--Quentin--how could you let this opportunity pass by to wax profound on your baby? Oh--and for those of you who see the main set as a "warehouse"--look a bit more closely at ALL the objects in the background and you will see just what kind of "warehouse" it is. It will add just a touch more atmosphere and pathos of destiny to a film that is already thick with fate and the gathering momentum of death. Enjoy that taco!

Summary: Michael Madsen is a sick [guy]!!
Review: The most memorable part of this film is mike madsen. When i saw him in Getaway he's one mean [guy]. And after that I watched Reservoir Dogs, and right here he's another mean guy. But seeing that guy in action is pretty cool. haha

Summary: The Best Crime-Drama ever made! Superb DVD Set!!:)
Review: An awesome , disturbing , and non-stop action film. It is Quentin Tarantino's true best film and has excellent talent. Buy this DVD , right now. The plot is about an old thug (Tierney) and his big-mouthed son (Penn) who hire six thiefs to go on a jewel heist , they are : Mr. Blue (Bunker) , Mr. Pink (Buscemi) ,
Mr. White (Keital) , Mr. Blonde (Madsen) , Mr. Orange (Roth) and
Mr. Brown (Tarantino). But everything goes wrong! Starring: Harvey Keital , Tim Roth , Chris Penn , Steve Buscemi , Lawrence Tierney , Eddie Bunker , Quentin Tarantino , Rich Turner , Steven
Wright , and Michael Madsen.

Summary: Look at All the Special Features, Look at Them!!!
Review: I am very excited for this Special Edition of Tarrentino's "Reservoir Dogs". As I'm sure you know, this is an amazing film that is still influencing films of today.

This DVD has all the special feautres you could possible want, and is availible at a low price. Unlike such Critertion Collection 2-Disc Sets that might be priced..., this is only... here, and has a list price....

I'm glad this amazing movie is finally getting the DVD treatment it deserves.

Summary: Sleek and stylish!
Review: Awesome movie. Such a sleek and stylish build of characters in an intense supercharged plot of a bank heist gone horribly wrong.
And the detail of what happens to each member and how their distrust of each other spirals out of control is edge-of-your-seat terrific!
Full of classic Taratino lines. Although the only problem with the film is that Tarantino is in it and at the beginning gives one of his typical self indulgent idiotic monologues Once you get past that the movie is a gem! Better than Pulp Fiction at times.

Summary: Wait for the 8-27-2002 reissue
Review: If it's not in your DVD collection at this point, you might as well wait it out until the 10th Anniversary edition. This initial release is subpar at best due to the non-anamorphic widescreen and tinny dolby digital track. Only the movie itself makes me bump the DVD up to 2 stars.
