Summary: Still disastrous fun
Review: If you like the genre of film, this is still one of the best. While the script is slightly dated, the special effects still stand up against anything the Titanic could muster - remember, when Allen turns this ship upside down there was no such thing as computer enhancement. Shelley Winters is delightful. Great suspense. This film was nominated for eight or nine Oscars, winning two for Best Song (The Morning After) and Best Special Effects.

Review: I just bought this DVD and was very impressed. The picture quality is outstanding. I saw details I have never seen in this film. Wonderful! Love all of the stars...especially Carol Lynley as the terrified pop singer...just to hear her sing "The Morning After" again was worth the wait. Roddy, Shelley, Stella and the rest are great also. I highly recommend this film to anyone that is a fan...or even if you are just seeing it for the first time.
