Summary: Worst Ever?
Review: This is in strong competition for the worst Bond movie ever. Certainly "Never Say Never Again" is the worst, but it's questionable whether that one is even a real Bond movie.

But "A View To A Kill" is so tired and cliche, and downright boring, it's a shame. Tanya Roberts is one of the worst actresses ever, and ruins the whole film. Christopher Walken was a pretty good villian, but Grace Jones... Well, she's had her 15 minutes now -- Grace, don't let the door hit your bum on the way out to obscurity, dear.

In the unlikely event you're new to the Bond franchise, I can honestly report that this is one movie you can skip completely. You won't be missing a thing.

Summary: A Very Good Bond Picture
Review: I don't understand why so many people are complaining about this bond film. They say it's bad, cheap etc. etc.
And when I ask the question: "Why?" They don't know what to say.

This is a good bond movie. Roger Moore played Bond for the last time in this movie at the age of 58. Don't have your opinion ready on that fact, Moore does a excellent job bringing Bond to live for the 7th time.
Another plus for this movie is for the action. It has a great beginning sequence, with Bond escaping from soldiers on the icecaps.
Also, the chase through Paris (which is also very funny, watch what happens to the car Bond is driving) and through San Diego (With a fire truck, Bond hanging on the ladder on the truck)This brings the Good old Bond feeling back.
Christopher Walken plays the great villian Zorin. I love it when he says: "You amuse me mister Bond!" He plays a wicked, crazy, evil villian which you expect in a Bond movie.
Tanya Roberts also plays a great Bond girl. I agree that she screams a lot, but her acting isn't that bad. She does a good job and looks great.
Then there is Mayday, the henchman of Zorin. A good adversarry for Bond.
The movie also ends with a great finally on the GoldenGate bridge. A tense fight between Bond and Zorin.

Conclusion: A very good and enjoyable Bond film!
A good exit for Moore, who proves ones again that "Nobody does it better."

Summary: AVTAK is a graceful exit for Moore
Review: At best, AVTAK is a nice exit for the aging Roger Moore,at worse, it's the lowest common denominator in the James Bond films in it's extreme tongue and cheek approach (A chase in a fire engine, a fight atop the Golden Gate Bridge).
Grace Jones steals the show as May Day, the lethal henchwoman to industrialist Max Zorin (Christopher Walken)a select bred former KGB agent who intends to destroy California.AVTAK also features Patrick McNee(TV's Steed from the Avengers)as the ill fated Sir Godfrey.
AVTAK was the end of an era in Bond films as the producers changed the tone of the series to a more grittier approach for The Living Daylights(Timothy Dalton's debut).But Roger Moore's tenure as 007 ranks as one of the best.

Summary: A Decent Exit For Moore As Bond
Review: This last installment of Roger Moore as Bond was decent thanks to the supporting talent of Christopher Walken as the arch-villain, Max Zorin. A rather unimpressive and bestial performance by Grace Jones adds a little more comedy to the film.

Here Bond (Moore) must investigate the intentions of Max Zorin (Walken)in Sillicon Valley after his friend Chance (Patrick MacNee) is killed. Zorin was the product of a Soviet program to breed and raise children to be KGB spies and assassins: as a result, Zorin is a complete sociopath with a genius for business as well. To undermine the computer industry, Zorin seeks to flood Silicon Valley and take over the market. Will Bond stop him in time? Zorin sends out his deadly assassin (Grace Jones) to make sure that he doesn't.

This is certainly not the best Bond with Roger Moore but I don't think it was his worse. In my opinion, the worst Bond with Moore was 'Live and Let Die' where his nemesis is nothing more than a lowly Carribean drug pusher. Chritopher Walken does a great job as the villain and Moore keeps up his debonair style pretty well.

Summary: Was this "Made for TV"?
Review: The absolute WORST of ALL the Bond movies, Moore or otherwise. Walken gives his worst performance ever and the Bond girls are extremely ordinary looking. Even the lame action can't save this one. Grace Jones was the only thing 'Bond worthy' in this entire movie. Like a real bad episode of Charlie's Angels without Charlie or the Angels. Absolutely UNWATCHABLE and made for TV caliber script, acting, direction and camera work....

Summary: Roger Moore bows out with a bang
Review: This the 14th Bond movie, and Roger Moore's seventh and final outing as OO7 is by far one of the best in the series.
Forget the negative reviews that this movie has recieved from those people who considered Sir Roger past his prime, and too comical, this movie has some classic moments. Christopher Walken and Grace Jones are formidable villains and the location ( San Francisco in particular ) are first rate.
The title track by Duran Duran is easily the best in the series, and John Steed himself, Patrick Macnee is also thrown into the action.
I gave this 5 stars but it's worth a lot more. Remember nobody does it better than Roger Moore.
