Summary: A really bad film
Review: Why Roger, oh why? Why did you have to make one last OO7film after the success of Octopussy. A View To a Kill is possibly the series' weakest effort. The action is crummy and very cheesey, Tanya Roberts almost brings down the whole film herself, and Grace jones is SO weird. Roger Moore looks like he's 7O and the only good actors in this film were Christopher walken and Patrick Macnee. I would give this film two stars but I hate the settings , they are so queer, and the plot is confusing and boring. Duran Duran provides an okay title but John barry's score is his worst.

Summary: OCTOPUSSY should have been Roger Moore's last outing as 007
Review: I'LL GIVE THIS ONE 2 1/2 STARS. IT'S OK BUT NOT A GREAT BOND FLICK WITH A WIMPY PERF BY BOND GIRL TANYA ROBERTS. CHRIS WALKEN'S ALRIGHT AS A VILLAIN, UNDERPLAYING A BAD GUY ROLE FOR A CHANGE. IT'S JUST...HOW OLD WAS ROGER MOORE HERE, 75 YRS OLD? IS THAT HIM SKIING IN SIBERIA TO THE TUNE OF "CALIFORNIA GIRLS"? WISH I COULD SAY YES? HIS STUNT DOUBLES ARE VERY VERY NOTICABLE; STUNTS ARE FINE. MOORE AND AN OLDER PATRICK MACNEE DUKING IT OUT WITH BAD GUYS? I HAD TO LAUGH.

PASSABLE FARE HERE. LOVE THAT FAKE ICEBERG SUBMARINE IN THE BEGINNING. GREAT BOND TUNE BY DURAN DURAN. THE BEST ONE.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: not the best...FAR from the worst
Review: A View to a Kill is one of the best "sit back and relax on a rainy day" movies of the series, although Roger Moore, as always, gives an unanimated, dry, dull performance as the "dapper" Bond. Walken is a good Max Zorin, and Jones as Mayday is well-cast. A few of the action sequences are unimaginative and far-fetched. Such as the fire engine chase in SF, and the fight on the golden gate bridge, but all-in-all this a quirky, almost well-done, Bond that always keeps me entertained!!! You won't regret buying this film! Just for your information, whether it's helpful or not, here is how I rate the 7 Moore Bond films: 1. The Spy Who Loved Me 2. For Your Eyes Only 3. Octopussy 4. Live and Let Die 5. A View to a Kill 6. The Man With the Golden Gun 7. Moonraker

Summary: THIS MOVIE IS TO VIEW, THE NAYSAYERS TO KILL
Review: When I first saw A View to A Kill in the theater, I thoroughly enjoyed myself. I have no idea why it was almost universally trashed by critics and the uptight Bond fans who devote themselves to Fleming and Connery. And yet none have given any adequate reason to trash it. Why is it so bad? Some even have the audacity to say it is a remake of Goldfinger!!!! HUH??!!!! Am I missing something here? A View To A Kill resemble NOTHING like Goldfinger. Once again, another unfavorable criticism and claim which nobody backed up with any substantial reason.

Anyway, A View To A Kill have all the traditional Bond ingredients...great villains, fantastic plot, indestructible henchmen (or henchWOMAN), beautiful women, great locations. Also, there is something about A View to A Kill, the way it looks and feels that sets it apart from Roger Moore's previous six Bonds that I can't put a finger on. The music by John Barry is also great, as is the titles by Maurice Binder. The theme song by Duran Duran is okay, too pop for me, but Barry managed to arranged a fantastic intstrumental of the song which is heard throughout the film.

The film has its downs too. Roger Moore is 57 when he made this and sometimes his age shows painfully. Tanya Roberts is a disappointing Bond girl. Her "James! James!!1 JAAAAMMMMMEEEESSS!!!" are very annoying, and despite being very photogenic and beautiful, her acting is very inconsistant. She would be good one moment, and then a moment later she would deliver a line in such a way that makes you cringe.

It is one of my favorite Bonds and ends the Moore era with a flourish. It has more entertainment value than its two successors, Living Daylights and Licence to Kill, starring ultimately boring and uncharismatic Timothy Dalton.

If I am stuck on an island with a choice between AVTAK or From Russia With Love (a borefest which for some reason a lot of fans like BECAUSE it remains faithful to the novel..big deal), AVTAK will win anytime!!!!!!

Like all the later Bond films, AVTAK should be watched in its widescreen format, thus thank god for DVD!!!

Summary: Don't know why, but I really liked this!
Review: All in all, I'd have to say that this was a below-average Bond film. The girl, Stacy Sutton (Tanya Roberts) threatened to singlehandedly bring the entire movie down herself. She is easily the least interesting off all the Bond girls (a geologist who works at city hall? Pul-Leeeze!), and she did a very poor acting job to boot.

Still, I can't help having a lot of fun every time I watch this. Stacy aside, all the characters are interesting (Zorin, MayDay, Jenny Flex). This film goes all over the place: the Eiffel Tower, aristocratic England, diving scenes, horse races, mining scenes, the Golden Gate Bridge, and finally a blimp (emblazoned with the famous "Zorin" logo of course)!

It's so off the wall that it works. Roger Moore is hitting on girls a third of his age (of course from the looks of it he was 93 when he made this one), there's action all the time, and a far-fetched but interesting plot.

There are many better Bond movies than this, but somehow this is one that I like to watch quite a bit. I really can't defend my liking this, I just do!

Summary: This movie is to view, and the nay sayers the kill
Review: A View To A Kill is one of the most maligned of the Bond movies. Majority of critics trashed it...but never gave any substantial reason to back up their opinions. Oh, so Roger Moore is hitting sixty...oh so Tanya Roberts can't act (I wouldn't blame her, she was given a character who was written as an idiot), so it was a little long, but hey, being a Bond fan, I was not disappointed. It has everything I expected in a Bond film and it delivers... Great villain in Christopher Walken....a good psychopath. Great henchwoman in the form of Grace Jones. Great Bond girls in Fiona Fullerton and former Miss World Mary Stavin. Great performance by Patrick MacNee. A View To A Kill is visually stunning compare to other Bond films. The color is absolutely fantastic! Oh yes, John Barry's score is also another highlight of this film. FOr some weird reason, this movie has been claimed by some to be a remake of Goldfinger. I never made the connection, and still do not see the connection. But then, those who made this claim never gave any adequate explanation in the first place other than to trash it out of malice. A View to A Kill was a smash when it was release, despite the naysayers. And it will continue to be one of the more popular Bond movies ever made. If I am stuck on a deserted island with only one Bond film to a accompany me, and the choice is From Russia With Love or A View to A Kill; A View to A Kill will be my pick anytime of the day.

Summary: Roger Moore's last outing
Review: Released in 1985 , A View To A Kill was to mark an end of an era as Roger Moore decided to call it a day. The biggest let down of the film is the Bond girl Tanya Roberts. But on a good point you have an excellent villian played by Christopher Walken as Max Zorin a criminal idustrialised mastermind who was the result of a Nazi experiment who plans to detroy Silcon Valley and it is up to Bond to stop him. A View To a Kill may not have a very intriguing plot but it will definately keep you on the edge of your seat with one spectacular stunt scene after another especially the finale on top of the Golden Gate bridge.

Summary: Great movie.
Review: This is a great movie. Tanya Roberts is so hot. She's a 10.

Summary: Good, I think
Review: Mayday is one of the best henchpersons ever! She is really sinister, and her jump from the Eiffel Tower is great! Christopher Walken is good too. If it weren't for three things I would give this five stars. 1, Roger Moore is way too old now. 2, the fire engine chase scene is horrible. And most important of all, Tanya Roberts gets my vote as the most annoying character in a Bond movie.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Very good
Review: Even though Moore was 57 and this was his last OO7 film,it's still one of my favorites.Though Moore looks worn out and his acting isnt that great, Patrick McSteed, Grace Jones, and Christopher Walken deliver teriffic performances. The action was good and the stunt scenes great. But if you want better Roger Moore, check out The Spy who Loved Me, Moonraker, or Octopussy.
