Summary: FLAWLESS PERFORMANCES.....AWE-INSPIRING ELEMENTS
Review: This movie was one of the finest in the saga. If you enjoy suspense and drama, this is a must-see. The story of how Bruce met Andrea Beaumont and became Batman was very well thoughtout. I anticipate the writers will produce a sequel to this snappy ensamble. This film gives you an insight into Bruce Wayne as a lover and as a citizen. Unfortunately, I am not permitted to give away any of the movie, but there were two parts in this movie that had me thinking and, at one point, weeping. This movie is a classic in the making; you won't be disappointed.

Summary: Great
Review: I found this score to perfectly match the film in its tone and style. It's similar to Elfman's scores for Batman and Batman Returns, but is more suited to this film, which is right up with the 1989 film as my favorite Batman movie. I've noticed that the themes expressed in this movie are used frequently in the TV series, especially the four-note Batman theme. Also, the secondary and eventful themes are also very good. A recommended buy for any Batman or movie score enthusiast.

Summary: I wish I could give it 100 stars!
Review: This is not only a million times better than any of the crap Tim Burton put in the live action Batman movies, but, in fact, it's tied with many other films as one of my all-time favorites.

This might be a cartoon, but the plot is extremely mature and sophisticated (easily the best animated movie of all time--nothing touches it). Whatever you'd want in a movie (action, tension, romance...), you'll find it in spades here.

Please do yourself a favor (especially if you've had to suffer through the live action movies) and PURCHASE this video. You'll watch it over and over again.

And when the film ends, you'll feel that the pain, the sorrow, and the sacrifice of Bruce Wayne. Alas, you'll know the thankless and lonely life of THE BATMAN.

Summary: Finally giving Batman justice...
Review: "Batman: Mask of the Phantasm" is the best Batman movie ever, and one of the greatest movies of our time, I believe. If you think this is for children, you're dead wrong. This movie in fact is more adult than the live action ones. Besides, "Mask" is the first and only fully-animated film to date that has ever held a PG rating(outside of Prince of Egypt); and this one is good without having the good book behind you. The animation was superb(Mr. Malton...), and the plot was absolutely rich. In this film, unlike the others, you actually feel sorry for him when yu glimpse into his past. In this movie, you see Bruce face heart-wrenching desicions; and he's actually heart-wrenched by them. The dark score to the movieadds to it's already ominous setting, and makes the movie all the more spine-tingling for you to watch. Watch this movie if you're a movie lover at all.

Summary: Well-done.
Review: Very Batmanish, without being Elfman or Goldenthal. I hear a little of both in Walker's score. Good stuff all around, especially the Main Title.

Summary: A film finally worthy of the Dark Knight
Review: After growing up watching the superb Batman: The Animated Series (and sitting through all four of the grotesquely idiotic live-action films;a mistake I'll never forgive myself for), watching "Mask of the Phantasm" was one of the best experiences I've had lately. For anyone who doubts the itelligence of Batman, or of animated films all together, I'd beg them to watch this movie. Everything about it is great: theanimation, the itelligent and interestingstory, the masterfull voice characterizations, and the glorious music all come together to make this film, beynd the shadow of a doubt, the greatest Batman film of all, and also one of the most impressive movies in cinematic history.

Summary: Quite good...
Review: Although being a complete Elfman ripoff, and nothing like the scores for the two original Batman movies, Shirley Walker has created a quite good score for this quite good animated movie. Anyone who loves Elfman's original Batman scores will get quite a kick out of this one. I did.

Summary: Batman the way he was meant to be.
Review: Batman: Mask of the Phantasm is a wonderful piece of work. Not only fans of the television series will enjoy it, but also those who are not Batman fans will also enjoy. The Animation is beautifly colored, the story is great, the score is wonderful, this is an all around good movie. One of the high points of this movie is that it's not slapstick, it's aimed more for the older Audience, but children will enjoy it also. My overall thought is "Go and rent this movie today" you'll enjoy it.
