Summary: Great Movie but TV version on the 2nd disc has a glitch!!!
Review: There is no doubt that this is still a great movie 20 years after it was first released. Even though I was too young to watch it when it was first released in theatres, it is one of my favorite movies of all time. However, I do have one complaint about the DVD and that is the TV version section on the 2nd disc is out of sync with the audio, which is unfortunate since all of the other features are ok. I've already exchanged the DVD twice but the glitch is still there. I hope that it's fixed in the near future.

Summary: "Now yu talking to me babee, dat I like!"
Review: This movie is one of Al Pacino's best performances(like that hasn't been said before). The 2 disc anniversary edition is great and the extras and documentaries are very interesting and informative. But the one GLARING thing that sticks out about this dvd is: WHY THE DEF JAM SPECIAL?? What does rappers and a movie about a cuban drug dealer have to do with rap?? Maybe I'm a moron and don't get it... it wasn't that interesting to watch and a waste of my 20 minutes. That aside, this is a great movie. Not for the easily offended. Pacino's 1993 movie "Carlito's Way" is worth checking out for fans of this movie. It would be a continuation of Scarface if Tony Montana would have lived(the hint being the final shot of Carlito's way with the murial).

Summary: I love this movie!!! Even if the sound editing isn't perfect
Review: This is a great movie. People have been complaining about the sound effects, but it sounds fine to me. ...But then again, I don't have surround sound - so I really don't know what it's supposed to sound like. But if you like Al Pacino or if you like gangster movies - then you'll love this movie.

Summary: The World Is Yours!
Review: "Scarface" is an incredible film about the rise and fall of a Cuban refugee in Miami, FL in the early 1980s.

This film revolves around Tony Montana, a Cuban refugee who came to this country when Fidel Castro expelled many of this citizens (and criminals) to the United States in 1980. Tony and his friends soon discover the world of cocaine and begin selling it. Tony builds an empire out of this business and eventually becomes a very powerful man. However, all of the power soon comes to an end when a hit is placed on him. The climactic scene at the end (containing the now famous line, "say hello to my little friend!" will leave you in awe!

Al Pacino gives what I believe is an Oscar-worthy performance as Tony Montana, while the very young Michelle Pfeiffer portrays his cocaine-addicted wife. The film can quite violent at times and very strong language is used often, so you might want to put the kids to bed before watching this one.

The second disc containing all of the special features is a gem within itself. It contains deleted scenes, how the film came to fruition, and a short documentary about how "Scarface" has influenced many of the hip-hop artists today.

Overall, I would give this film and its special features 10 stars. Even though Tony chose to go into the business of cocaine, it shows how a person coming from virtually nothing can become one of the most power people in the country if his or her drive is strong enough. Like the movie says, "The world is yours!" I would highly recommend this film to anyone with a DVD player. It's a film that I think everyone should see at least once in their lives, whether you're into gangster films or not. You will not be disappointed at all!!! Watch this film!!!!!

Summary: Disapointing Sound Quality
Review: After owning the original DVD "special" edition, I was suckered into buying the new "anniversary" edition with DTS surround sound. What a disapointment! This has to be the worst display of DTS surround sound I have heard. I did not even try the Dolby Digital 5.1 version. There really is no sound improvement from the original. Very hollow sounding throughout, no real bass, or involving surround scenes. The only slight improvement was is the soundtrack. The hotel bathroom chainsaw scene was so uninvloving that I turned the movie off in disgust. If you already have this DVD, don't waste your money. If you really feel obligated to buy it for the "extras" that you most likely will never watch, be my guest. Rated 3 stars only for movie content.

Summary: the best movie
Review: this movie is one of the best movies ever made. and i don't see what the big deal is with all of the bad words and the violence. they only say f*** once every fifty seconds and some. and in the chainsaw scene, they don't show the cutting! they only show blood splattering all over the place. i think that people that don't like this movie should be linned up and shot!
