Summary: Hollywood or bust
Review: This movie will absolutely blow you away. The only thing wrong is the title, It makes you think it is a chick-flick. It is a masterpiece seldom seen. If you buy no other movie this century this one is the one to buy. Alabama is superb, Clarence even Elvis has a great spot.

Summary: Tarantino - Scott ???
Review: I loved Pulp Fiction, I liked Reservoir Dogs; but this time, I must say I expected more. I just don't like Christian Slater in this movie, Patricia Arquette is very sexy and does a good job, but her character, I don't like it either. I think the main problem is that Quentin Tarantino and Tony Scott have no chemistry as writer and director. I mean, imagine two Tarantino's characters having a Top Gun love scene, it's just not right. Sometimes they are too tough, sometimes they get too corny, it seems to me they are no really that cool.

But there are some good things about it, like the Elvis ghost (Val Kilmer), Brad Pitt's short but interesting appearance, Gary Oldman, Christopher Walken, etc... The DVD special edition is very good, it has some interesting special features, like an alternative ending. All in all, I would say the movie is worth watching, buying this special edition is not a complete waste of money, but I think it's not a great movie.

Summary: But is it a love story or a shootem' up??
Review: This movie was suggested to me by a girl I worked with, she said it was her favorite movie of all time. Needless to say I watched it the first time with a huge amount of skeptisism. All I can say is that I was wrong to doubt. This movie is beautifully written! You get all the gritty violence you could want while still holding the greatest underlying love story in any movie I've seen. This is the ultimate guy movie/chick flick combination. Nowhere else have I seen a man(clarence/slater) so in love with someone he just met(alabama/arquette) that he would go kill her pimp, now that is LOVE! This movie is not for the squimish but if you are a guy with a soft side you don't want to admit to, or a girl that can stomach some blood, this movie is a must see! Pay close attention to all the stars in this movie, they knew it was a good investment so should you.

Summary: A great movie.
Review: A young man by the name of Clerence (Christian Slater) gets to meet a bright wide-eyed Prostitute named Alabama (Patricia Arquette) falls in love at first sight and then they get married. But the Couple takes a wrong turn, when Clerence told the wrong suitcase from a Pimp (Gary Oldman), which Clerence did kill him. Then Clerence & Alabama finds out that the suitcase is full of cocaine and than they decide go to L.A. to sell it and cash it in, while the Mafioso (Lead by Oscar-Winner:Christopher Walken) are searching for the Drugs and the Couple.

Directed by Tony Scott (The Hunger, Top Gun, Enemy of the Gates) made an excellent, clever thriller with romance. Excellent Performances from the Cast, including:Dennis Hopper, Val Kilmer, Micheal Rapaport, Bronson Pinchot, Brad Pitt, Saul Rubinek, Chris Penn, Tom Sizemore, Samuel L. Jackson, James Gandolfini & Conchata Ferrell. This wasn't a huge success at the Box Office but it did recieve great reviews by Critics and it become a Cult Classic. DVD's has an terrific anamorphic Widescreen (2.35:1) transfer and an digitally remastered-Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround Sound (Also on DTS). DVD's has three separate feature-length Audio Commentaries by Stars:Slater & Arquette, Director:Scott & Writer:Quentin Tarantino. DVD has nearly 30 mintues of Deleted Scenes (also an Alternate Ending) with/without commentary by the director & writer. This DVD has great extras. Tarantino wrote a terrific written script, which he's best known for Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction & Jackie Brown. This DVD is a great 2-Disc Set. Do not miss this great film. Panavision. Grade:A.

Summary: the best
Review: this may be the greatest movie ever made! it has all the elements of a classic film. written, directed, and shot with the artistry of a great composer. not to mention the cast. as fabulous as ever assembled. if there were oscars give for specific scenes(i think there should be) there are three in this movie that would receive one. after viewing this movie treat yourself to another incredible experience and watch "romeo is bleeding". it's a beauty also.

infamous Qeuntin Tarantino(PULP FICTION,RESERVOIR DOGS)what bad

BROKEN ARROW)and the hot Patricia Arqeutte. Also a great ensemble
including Dennis Hopper,Gary Oldman,Christopher Walken,Chris Penn
,Tom Sizemore,Samuel L. Jackson, and Val Kilmer as the ghost of
Elvis.Full of gunplay,strong violence,sex,drugs,and the Tarantino

Summary: Wonderful DVD and extras
Review: This is a great movie by all means- witty script, splendid acting, enchanting music and swift direction by Tony Scott. Surely a movie you would want to keep.

However, this DVD excells in one more area- the extras. It looks that the producers made a REAL effort to make this a worthwile movie. Besides the regular extras we've come to expect from good DVDs (trailers, script, cut scenes, interactive behind the scenes etc.), this movie also has some unique additions, such as the "storyboard subtitles" - a story board that shows as a subtitle throughout the film - play this with Tarantino's commentary and you have another movie to watch! or, the alternate ending - a splendid supplement. I just wish that ending was available as an alternate movie version rather than a stand alone one (as in T2).

The verdict - get it, now! you won't regret it.

Summary: Great underrated movie...GREAT DVD!!...
Review: True Romance is one of the most underrated films ever made. Many people never seen it. But once they have they are hooked. The cast is LOADED with big name stars, some of you probly didnt know were in the movie, all giving great performances (Christopher Walken, Dennis Hopper, Brad Pitt is just hilarious, James Gandolfini (his scene is very brutal, you must see it!), Chris Penn, Tom Seizmore (great in everything he is in), Michael Rapaport(more on him later)and even "Balki" from Perfect Strangers(Bronson Pinchot) is excellent!!). Of course Christian Slater and Patricia Arquet are great in the lead, but the scene stealer is Gary Oldman as "Drexel", his scenes are just great. This movie has an excellent story that everyone should view at least once.

Now to the excellent DVD. Thank god they made a special edition. This movie deserves it. It is LOADED with extras. There are extended scenes which ALL work good (especially the scene with "Drexel" and Sam Jackson and an added scene of Clarence and Alabama's first nite together, where we see much more of Patricia Arquet...YES!!...), a making of, which is VERY insightful, and my favorite extra, selected cast commentary on the scenes they were in. You MUST watch the Michael Rapaport commentary, it is just hillarious. He is very genuine in everything he says, he is definitly one of the nicest guys in Hollywood. You have to hear what he has to say about his co-workers and the film. Then there is the alternate ending, which in a way i wish was the original ending, it is VERY different from what they used. This is what a DVD should be. They put alot of effort into this DVD, which is great to see considering this is not one of the more popular films ever made (IT SHOULD BE!!...). GO BUY IT TODAY!!...

Summary: "Hey, get some beer, and some....cleaning products."
Review: I really wish Brad Pitt would consider reprising his role as the stoner Floyd someday cause he absolutely stole the show-he's hysterical. Some of the classic Tarantino lines of all time, several adlibs, and phenomenal scenes that are way outside the edge of reality, but it works. A better ensemble cast than anything else you're liable to find. Was this Gandolfini's first "sensitive hitman" role? Patricia Arquette is yummy, Hopper is in rare form, Walken is as menacing as he is weird, Oldman makes a great pimp, we find out about Samuel L's sexual preferences, and Slater manages to turn in a credible understated but high energy performance. A monument to the Nintendo generation I suppose but a great movie worth watching over and over again. Oh yeah, if you're quick to scream "ripoff" when you see a road movie that resembles True Romance, NBK, Freeway, Love and a 45, etc then pick up a copy of Badlands with Martin Sheen. Tarantino makes better movies than his predecessors but he's borrowed an idea or two along the way. 5 Snorts.

Now, the new "Unrated" Director's Cut. well, they really can't call it unrated since not one single change was made from the original release. The sound and picture are far superior to the original DVD however, and there are a few extras rabid fans will enjoy. Especially the commentary by Michael Rappaport and Brad Pitt. The 'deleted' scenes aren't worth talking about. Sad actually. And the alternate ending.....thank god they didn't go with that one. If you don't already own the DVD then this one is for you. If you are thinking about getting this one for the added content you may want to think twice. The extras just aren't worth it.
