Summary: Excellent Movie
Review: I am not a particularly big fan of this genre of movie. I've often found these types of movies boring and predictable. "True Romance" is definitely not boring and predictable. The ensemble cast that has been put together for this movie is outstanding. The acting is first-rate. There is a lot of violence in this movie; but, it fits and is very believable and almost expected. "True Romance" was written by Quentin Tarantino and easily overshadows his more recent films like "Resevoir Dogs" and "Pulp Fiction".

Summary: This movie is weird
Review: I wasn't sure whether or not I was going to like this film. When I saw this, it was right after all of the megahyped Tarantino wannabe films were starting to come out, and I was so sick of that entire genre. Yet what I liked about this one was how they managed to stick a love story right smack dab in the middle of all of the gunplay and violent bloodlust. Granted, it was one of the weirdest love stories I've ever seen, but it was a whole lot better than those awful Meg Ryan films that my friends try to make me sit through. Special kudos go out to my fave, the very underrated actor Gary Oldman (the pimp), performing yet another perfect accent and another perfect character. Overall, this film is worth seeing at least once.

Summary: Some of the Best Acting you'll ever see
Review: True Romance is best summed up in one word. Awesome! This flick has action, suspense and of course romance, not to mention great acting by everyone. A ton of big starts are in this flick too, Brad Pitt, Samuel Jackson, Christian Slater, etc. Brad Pitt plays a halarious stoner. If you're a Pitt fan or just someone looking for action and some good laughs ckeck out True Romance.

Summary: Great cast, great dialogue... a solid Tony Scott film...
Review: One of the best drug dealer films of the nighties that doesn't include the words homey or dis. Slater is smooth as Clarence... Arquette is a very sexy Alabama... a charming little soul. Oldman, the Penn & Sizmore team, the Walken/Hopper scene... wow.

Summary: Simply the greatest movie ever made.
Review: This movie is the greatest, yet possibly the most underrated movie ever made.I couldn't understand how the movie wasn't nominated for any awards, but I then realised that very few people genuinally understand 'True Romance'.It goes a lot further than visual entertainment,as I feel we learn a lot more about the characters and their situation by answering the many unanswered questions and drawing up our own conclusions.o.k,so it is yet another in the long line of lovers on the run movies-but 'True Romance' breathes life into the series and regardless of what others think,I believe it to have more depth than any other lovers on the run movies. This movie doesn't rely on stereotypes,(it isn't a 'hero' movie and there are no general good or bad guys)and Ifelt I could relate to the characters incredibly closly. The majority of the characters are just mere cameo parts, but they all(esp.Elvis and Cliff)play vital roles in the movie. This movie, though, does belong to Christian Slater and Patricia(it's all in the eyes)Arquette as Clarence and Alabama, who play their parts to near perfection and make the most amazingly, convincing on-screen couple i've ever seen.I'm not going to say anything about the plot but I simply urge everyone to watch this, but look beyond the movie and you'll learn a whole lot more.Igive this movie 5 stars, and anything less i'd consider offensive.

Summary: See it for the One True Scene
Review: I could take or leave most of this movie, but the Walken-Hopper conversation is worth watching until the end of time.

Summary: Get the unrated widescreen version & have a good time.
Review: True Romance compliments Badlands with the narrative voice, but it doesn't stop there. This was in my collection of movies until I showed it to some people and it was later stolen that night. The movie is that good. Appearances by some of the hottest actors show up in this playing memorable roles. Definitely at the top of the 'action' list.

Summary: Tony Scot is the forgotten Genius of this film.
Review: The directors cut of this movie is exceptional, far outstripping the cut down version seen at the movies and available on VHS in the UK. Censorship has a lot to answer for. Unfortunatly the hype surrounding Tarantino deflects from the true genius of the film Tony Scot, who not only remedied the problems of the original script, but embued the film with a fairytale quality. That said Tarantino's dialogue is superb, in what is an utterly hilarious film.

What the directors cut adds to the movie highlights what a nonsense the UK's censorship laws are. I never fail to have tears in my eyes at Alabama's beating which is how it should be. Not reduced so as not to upset delicate viewers but full on making it a scene which isn't another violent throwaway. I wish the BBFC could show some intelligence and recognise this.

One of Tony's best films.

Summary: Tarantino! What else can I say?
Review: One of the best writer/director of our times; Quentin Tarantino delivers another GREAT movie. This film is worthing of being put with Tarantino's other greats Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction. When I saw the title of this movie, I said to myself " Tarantino and a love story? " It;s got to be good. And to no suprise it was awesome! Truly a great movie, with the perfect cast ( Samual L. Jacksons 2 minute part ) and a original story only Tarantino could trun a romance into a blood bath! Buy it now! Also check out Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction well yer at it!
