Summary: Good-not so clean fun
Review: Excellent movie- surprised to see Brad Pitt play such a small part but he was funny. I'd like to see him in the role of Dante in Jennifer MacDonald's book-Evolution.

Summary: True Romance
Review: THE best action movie, ever! Forget 'Pulp Fiction' or 'Desperado'!

Summary: Awesome Movie. Not so Great DVD
Review: If you're choosing between DVD's and VHS, it won't really matter which you get because this DVD isn't all that loaded with goodies. THey could have at least included some deleted scenes. There were some that I know of, but won't mention them becasue it'll ruin how the movie ends and all.

The reason I gave this movie a five, despite the lackluster DVD, is because this movie is so darn good. Strait down to the soundtrack. Some of the best dialogue ever is in this film. Tarintino writes in an almost Shakespearean (Is that even close to the proper spelling?) in nature. The performances are dead on. Like Gary Oldman who plays a white pimp that talks strait out the ghetto. You should watch him in this and then watch him in the Conteneder... good lord he's good. THen there is the infamous dialogue between Dennis Hopper and Chris Walken. That was one of the most perfect scenes in the history of perfect scenes. The film as a whole isn't sugarcoated which is why I think it's a much better Romance than anything else. Buy this movie...Better yet, Buy it right here on Amazon.com. It'll come strait to your house, ain't that cool.

Summary: Stylish, empty, also rather cruel but memorable!
Review: Not much to say about this, it deserves to be watched about 10 times, it certainly is well cinematogrpahed and stylishly memorable in a early to mid 90's way. In turns memorable, cruel, decadent, funny, charismatic and distastefull, it stays in the mind, not that it really deserves to though

Summary: sick!!
Review: this movie is sick! (hip hop slang for really really good!).this makes "romeo must die" look like a mtv video! best actor award should go to that black dude that played in "soul food" , when he got shot at the end,he died hella good.BaLki was the funniest.but the best part was actually when Christopher Walken and whuts his name? (dennis hopper?) faced off! this scene is better than the scene with Ray liotta and joe pesci in "gfellas".

Summary: best guilty pleasure flick
Review: face it, any movie in which dennis hopper appears.... first singing along with burl ives and then ending by giving a mafia-type badguy, chris walken, a racial history of the sicilian people.....just has to be seen!

and that's just ONE scene in a movie full of outrageous, over-the-top violence and mayhem, hysterical comedy, surprizing and delightful cameo appearances.....and yes, true romance!

it's totally quentin tarrentino....great, witty, offensive dialogue, splatter-fest violence and a terrific soundtrack.

and, best of all, 100% schwarzenegger-free!

one of my all time favorite movies....just wish they'd release a director's/writer's commentary dvd version.

Summary: A true drama for the Tarantino fan
Review: I really didn't know what to expect when I purchased this DVD. I did so based on the cast. You have Gary Oldman,Samuel Jackson and Dennis Hopper who added very much to the plot but were killed off very early on.All of those guys were more or less cameos. Christian Slater and Patricia Arquette were starcrossed lovers who were perfect for one another. Val Kilmer was in this? Where? When? Even Brad Pitt got in on the act: he was this hippy/surfer dude smoking this honeybear dope pipe. I howled! My favorite bad guys: Christopher Walken, Chris Penn and Tom Sizemore rounded out this typical Tarantino masterpiece! Enjoy it for the fun. Not oscar material, but fun!

Summary: an unconventional, heart-warming tale of love
Review: Perhaps when we think of a romance story, we conjure up notions of Sleepless in Seattle or When Harry Met Sally. True Romance, a pure romance movie, albeit one with guns, violence, and pimps, succeeds on every level at breaking down such stereotypes. You will leave this movie with a great sense of what true love is all about. A true must see!

Summary: Best Mexican Standoff
Review: This was a great movie. This showed trust and betrayal all over the place. The best is the finale when they have a shootout in the hollywood directors hotel room.

Summary: Dont judge this movie by its title!
Review: True Romance, Sounds like a mushy chick-flik your old lady would drag you to on a slow friday night, right? WRONG. So is this movie mis-titled, not at all. Christian Slater is truly a True Romantic in the Tarintino written flik, just not in the way Hollywood may have prepared you for it. Of course the name Tarintino on it SHOULD bring that to your attention right away. Out to show Patrita Arquette just how much he loves her, and that he will do ANYTHING for her. Including taking on gangsta Gary Oldman (Oldman in dredlocks is a sight to see), and treking cross country on the lamb. This is just the start mind you. You will see, and FEEL, his love for her. Through a roller coaster of altercations with guest stars and cameos to numerous to list, Slater and Tarintino show us what True Romance is all about in the real, and modern world. This is NOT boy-meets-girl, boy-marries-girl, all-is-well. This is boy-meets-girl, boy-and-girl-enter-a-world-of-hurt-because-of-thier-love-AND-DONT-MIND, BECAUSE they love each other. Strongly recomend this picture to everyone. Add a star if your a Slater or Tarintino fan, or if you LOVE loads of small guest star parts. NOTE OF INTEREST: Unlike most other pictures he works on, Tarintino is NOT in this picture.
