Summary: Great Movie, Excellent Sound and Picture at a great price!
Review: For years I have been a fan of the films Arnold Schwarzenegger has been in and I have seen "True Lies" countless times, and when I heard that the DVD was going to be released I was excited. When I got the DVD, it was an excellent value(below $30) for the Quality of sound and picture it brought to my home theatre, my audience was even impressed with it. I highly recommend this DVD!

Summary: Top Marks!
Review: Though not in anamorphic format as it is claimed to be, this is a top DVD, one of the best in my collection. The picture and sound quality are outstanding, the film story is good and this is one of the better Arnold's performances. If you like quality action films then get this DVD.

Summary: Good for one or two viewings
Review: Not the best of Cameron or Arnold, but it looks and sounds nice for a pleasing, mindless flick that barely deserves a purchase unless you're a hardcore fan of the director or stars. If you're a Buffy The Vampire Slayer fan, it's a good chance to check out Eliza Dushku(the second Slayer, "Faith," on the show) in one of her early roles as the rebellious daughter.

Summary: Stupid Movie
Review: I don't think this movie was a comedy one,nor action.....it was just cheap...I regret the money I paid to watch it, just cheap special effects... Arnold has disappointed me as much as he has disappointed many of his fans.:-(

Summary: Cameron is the action King. A must have for the action fan.
Review: This flick is a true pleaser and I believe it is Cameron's best. It has amazing action and special FX and an engaging James Bond type story line that spoofs the genre with humorous dialog and amusing characters, as well as over the top espionage credibility. I wanted so much to hate Tom Arnold as I have always found him annoying. His witty charm makes his character the surprise hit of the movie and now I actually can admit that I like him (at least in those types of roles). Arnold S. is very suave (a la Bond) and has some characteristic humorous dialog also. Bill Paxton is classic as the smarmy cheeseball salesman guy (his best role since Aliens) who seduces Jamie Lee Curtis. Jamie Lee Curtis is sexy (if you can believe it) even though her character is painfully gullable and naive. True Lies belongs in any action aficionado's top ten DVD or Laser Disc collection.

Summary: the DVD is not anamorphic as Amazon claims it to be
Review: I'm disappointed that so far none of Fox's titles are anamorphic. Hopefully Alien Legacy Box will be like they said.

Summary: James Cameron, the Action Movie Virtuoso
Review: From Aliens to Terminator 2 and on, Cameron never fails to disappoint. True Lies is a must-see for action-flick aficionados, and I cannot wait for this DVD.

Summary: Please stop James Cameron
Review: Mild escapist fun. Only worth a look if you haven't seen it.

There are some good sequences and FX (a bridge blowing up, excellent missile effects) but overall the drama feels stilted, plodding. In particular there is a really slow fifteen to twenty minutes when the main character chooses to interrogate his wife. In the theater it was painful. At least on DVD you can just hit skip.

The humor is decidedly lowbrow. The Bill Paxton subplot did not work as well as intended. To misquote Paul Thomas Anderson, "Little dick jokes. I don't know."

Also, the villain was fairly weak, and the green screen composites in the final sequence just look like shoddy work.
