Summary: My favorite movie.
Review: Yeah, I really love this because it is a great mixture of comedy and drama, between realism and mythmaking. The source story is probably the best thing Stephen King ever wrote, and the movie is as faithful as Hollywood ever is. Most of the comments I've read here complain about both the sentimentality and the overuse of profanity in the movie, arguments which would seem to negate each other. What you're saying is that the movie has a rose-colored glasses view of the time period, while at the same time arguing that "no one said ***in the '50s". Right. Maybe they didn't, but this really is nitpicking. Ultimately this really is a beautiful movie, with a great story, and great performances by Wheaton and Phoenix. Simply perfect.

Summary: THE MOST TOUCHING MOVIE OF ALL TIME
Review: It's about a group of four boys who go to look for another boy's body. The "leader" is Chris Chambers. The movie altogether was great. The disgusting part was the leeches, and some parts were funny. I highly recommend it to anyone who like adventure.

Review: Stand By Me, based on the Steven King short story (The Body) is a classic example of what kids today think and act like. Gordy, Vern, Teddy and Chris are just four simple boys out on an adventure, with great threats on the way. I think the young actors who played these roles just acted like themselves, I know this is how I act most of the~~~serious, but fun!

Review: This movie reminds me of my best friends back in elementry school, the adventures we experienced together, the friendship. I am sure those memories will stay with me for ever. "Stand By Me" really touches my heart. You have to see it, you will be touched too.
