Summary: Gotta give it 5 stars cuz I loved it, but...
Review: ...I liked it better back in '87 when it was called "FATAL ATTRACTION." SWIMFAN is an excellent, extremely suspenseful movie that you should definately see if you liked classic thrillers such as THE GLASS HOUSE, DOMESTIC DISTURBANCE, etc. But, this movie is basically a remake of FATAL ATTRACTION. Not as good, though. Definately see it and all the others mentioned above if you haven't already!

Summary: The Crush, Part 2
Review: Well, as many of the reviews have stated, this film comes from the Fatal-Attraction-Teen-Crush "If I Can't Have You, Then You Better Watch Your Back" school of filmaking. Some of the scenes are pretty rediculous because we know that this girl, who is obsessed with this guy, is going to do all she can to send a message and ruin this guy's life. So, once he tells her to leave him alone, you pretty much know what is going to happen. She starts stalking him, leaving a ton of messages on his computer, getting him in trouble with his girlfriend, hurting people close to him, etc.

It's not a terrible movie per se, but I feel as though I've seen it a hundred times. I think it would have been better if they had taken this movie a different direction. I would write a longer review, but in a few years this movie will be long forgotten about, so what's the point.

Review: When A Movie Is Suspenseful It Is Great. This Movie Is Suspenseful And Keeps You Guessing Till The End. Watch It.

Summary: Alright, I must say.....
Review: When I first saw the preview for this movie, I thought it might be good. It is an okay suspense movie, but I don't think the movie did justice to Jesse's acting skills. Also, the movie was a bit hard to understand. I enjoy a good stalker movie just as much as the next person, but the ending was kind of quick. If you like suspense movies, try this out. I'm not saying it is the best, but it is alright.

Summary: Don't Swim Away From This One
Review: Swimfan is a typical Hollywood movie in certain instances, but that doesn't mean it wasn't entertaining. The story centered on a psychotic girl that will do anything to make a guy love her. It's nothing original, but it works for a good time.

There were good solid performances from all the actors, which definitely makes the movie step up a level. It's a lot easier to stomach predictability with decent acting.

There were some genuine creepy moments, but the movie wasn't supposed to be scary. If that's what you're looking for when watching Swimfan, you will be dissatisfied. And even though the movie was short, it got to the point without unnecessary filler that bogs down so many movies. That in turn, creates tension, and I credit good directing to that.

There were some strange editing tricks that I didn't find all that appealing, but it sure made it different. Was the script a little unbelievable? Probably, but what movie isn't anymore? That's why they call it a movie.

Swimfan is not perfect cinema, but it'll make for an enjoyable time if you don't ask too much of it. 4 Stars

Summary: Treacherous waters ...
Review: To sum up the movie in two words: Jesse Bradford.

Summary: Fatal Attraction in a Highschool
Review: 'Swimfan', a slightly under-developed teen thriller, stars Jesse Bradford, Erika Christensen and Shiri Appleby as three high school seniors in a New Jersey public school who soon find themselves in a very grown-up situation.
When Madison Bell (Christensen), a sophisticated, blonde musician moves to Ben Cronin's (Bradford) small New Jersey town he is immediately taken with the manipulative beauty. Although she does a better job of concealing it Madison is equally attracted to this promising young swimmer and immediately starts arranging things so that he will fall right into her deadly trap.
In a moment of weakness Ben sleeps with Madison in the school swimming pool, thus cheating on his goody-two-shoes girlfriend, Amy (Appleby). After Ben decides that this was a mistake, Madison begins working to establish herself as an overwhelming presence in Ben's life, seemingly trying to make him regret the moment he dared to deny her. In the end, Madison goes completely haywire, refusing to believe that she and Ben are not destined to be together and goes on what can only be defined as a mad killing spree, as well as committing several other dangerous crimes in between.
Although Erika Christensen is impressive in a role that is otherwise over the top and Shiri Appleby does fine with her simple part, the rest of the movie needs improvement.
First of all, its very predictable - its painfully obvious right from the start that Madison will eventually go after Amy and you never question the fact that she's insane. It's also very unrealistic, owing partly to the director's choice of scenes to cut. And finally, it's horribly over-dramatic - if this ever really happened Ben could easily prove that Madison needed her head examined; however, the scriptwriter proceeds to write the story as if he's stuck with this psycho lusting after him and no one to turn to for help.
This movie strives to be the second coming of "The Skulls", but isn't as well plotted or written. And while Erika Christensen is probably a better actor than Paul Walker, in suspense/action movies true talent often goes to waste, coming second to exactly how shocked the audience is by the end. I didn't hate it, but I certainly didn't love it and wouldn't exactly recommend it.

Summary: Please throw a powerline into this pool!
Review: Hollywood has offically ran out of good movie ideas. Do you remember interesting teenager movies from the 80's like Weird Science and The first Back to the Future, well say bye bye to any hopes of anything more like that. Nowadays Hollywood just regergitates the same ideas from the previous year, but in a different form.
This movie Swimfan [is bad[]. Its was extemely boreing and very short. Here's a general hygene tip to all of you who will still insist on seeing this...: don't make love in a public pool, because other people have to use it!

Review: I actually like this movie!! I saw this movie at a friends house, she rented it from Blockbuster and we watched it. It's about this guy who already has a girlfriend but meets this one girl with blonde curly hair, who is new at the school that they go to. She starts to come obsessed with him, but he doesn't become obsessed with her, but they make out in the pool. Anyways, I don't wanna give this movie away!! So you gotta see it!!!! :) 100% great!

Summary: Not My Kind Of Movie
Review: First of all, I just want to say that I don't necessarily think that this is a bad movie. However, due to my tastes as an independent movie critic, I didn't enjoy it all. I do think that it was fairly well performed and acted, however, the story-line needs to be redefined. This is definitely a movie about fatal attraction . . . in a teenage romance nonetheless--take it for what it's worth. I thought that that many of the characters were way too extreme, especially Erika Christensen's part, Madison (the girl with the fatal attraction towards Jesse Bradford's character). There were some good parts though, don't get me wrong. But, those good parts were the only things that kept me from giving this movie only 1 star. Overall, not my favorite movie type. Again, that doesn't mean this is a bad movie, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone I know.
