Summary: good, but gets too corny, predictable, and just to short.
Review: Swimfan is actually a pretty good. Bradfrod (Bring it On) is the star of the swim team who has a one night fling with Madison Bell, who is played by Erika Christensen (Traffic).

movie starts of strong, and is pretty good at the beginning. Madison becomes obsessed Ben Cronin and does everything in her power to make sure that he remembers what happened that night in the swimming pool. she shows up at his house, and even scares him with tactics such as her leaving her underwear in his truck, which Cronin's girlfriend is about to move.

but the movie gets to corny and predictable. for about the 1st half of the movie, you are with Ben the entire way, almost like what would you do if you were in his shoes. but again, it starts to get way to corny. you know pretty much what is going to happen next, from Madison's escape from the cops to the final ending.

then, the movie ends abrubtly! just like that, it ends. kinda caught me off guard. almost like the producers said, just end the movie already.

also, the movie is only about an hour and 20 minutes. it's short.

again, good, but corny and predictable.
still, i'd watch it again.

Summary: Formulaic, Throw Away Fatal Attraction Lite
Review: Where's the boiling bunny? Welp, here we have non-descript youths experiencing the joy and ultimate pain of being a Fatal Attraction knock off. New, sensitive girl in school falls for swimmer who already has a girlfriend, in a moment of weakness, boy is seduced as girl says 'Tell me you love me'. Boy comes to senses afterwards, girl does not; proceeds to get boy fired, barred from swim team, kills opponent, tries to kill girlfriend, tries to kill mother and tries to kill the boy. Arrested by cops, escapes, and sets up eventual showdown in, yes, the same place they had sex , the pool. Hurrah! Pretty formulaic stuff. The brother from that cheerleading movie is in it, and he's at least passable. The villainess is the moon pie faced girl last seen paying for her drugs in Traffic; maybe someone attractive could have pulled off the character a bit more. Seemed more like a bad after-school special that something to waste time with on cable. Blech.

Review: I like actor who 'Jesse Bradford'
so I think his performance was good~
And this movie show me that when a woman has anger... It could be so cruelly.
I was so surprised about a tense atmosphere.
what a perfect direction!
and I can't forget about the expression of Erica's eyes.
Just see it.
I think this movie is great to see in summer.
See a woman full of vengeance.
So just buy it

Summary: SwimFan85 is already a timeless Classic. 2003
Review: SwimFan85 is really an excellent film,
and i have no doubt in my mind that ten
years from now, people will be talking about
it. The story is about a young lady whose
name is Madison Bell(character played ericka
christensen), and whom falls in love
with Ben Cronin(part played by Jesse Bradford).
Ben Cronin, the character
of the story, is a championship swimmer and has
an excellent shot at obtaining a scholarship from
Stanford University, but those plans are scratched
by Madison. This is a fatal attraction for the youth
of today, of 2003 and beyond and for people(men and women)
who like Erika Christensen. I recommend Swimfan85...who knows?
Their might be Swimfan85 part 2. The ending is quite interesting
but i do not believe that Madison Bell died, some how i believe
that the writers may resurrect her(with awesome writing[for it to be an excellent story].
For all the gentlemen who see this film, their is no
doubt that many of you will fall in love with Miss Erika

Christensen after viewing this film[SWIMFAN85].
Deep down inside we all want a nice girl to fall in love with us, and to think of us males 24-7.

Review: I did not get the opportunity to view this
motion picture at the cinema, but i watched it just
yesterday On VHS, and
I like the plot to "Swimfan". The motion picture is about a young
man who is in his last year of secondary school, and who has a lot of things going for him
but when he meets and makes love to a young gal named Madelline Belle(Erika Christensen) then
things just go down hill for Ben Cronin(Jesse Bradford).

I recommend this film because this is absolutely not just "lust flick" as compared to other teen motion pictures.The ending is interesting because (Jesse Bradfords)
character does not obtain that swimming scholarship to
Stanford he wanted to obtain. The ending of the movie along with the beginning is very realistic.A movie that talks about infidelity, obsession, reputation, and true love. It be nice if there was a part 2 to "Swim Fan."

Summary: COMIC TEEN TWIST ON FATAL ATTRACTION
Review: I can't belive this was ever intended as serious drama. Instead, it plays like a tongue in cheek comedic teen twist on "Fatal Attraction." New student Erika Christensen gets obsessed with swim star Ben Cronin. What follows is hilariously over the top as Cronin desperately reassures his girlfriend Shiri Appleby that his quickie with psycho Erika was a one-time mistake. Too bad Kobe Bryant didn't see this before going to Colorado for knee surgery.

Summary: Everyone told me not to get this, its a waste of time....
Review: WHATEVER! I loved it and i thought it was so creepy, but yet it could totally happen if you werent careful.
And by the way, its not about the internet. Everyone was like, "oh yeah its about an obsessive girlfriend on the internet" no...but it is a very good show, with shocking twists. I reccomend you go see it!

Summary: Water and Carelessness: What Aquafina Forgot to Mention
Review: I've always asked myself why I couldn't find an obsessive stalker. It looks easy enough, judging from the depths of movies covering the topic, from Fatal Attraction to SWF and beyond. Perhaps it simply the setting. I've never been comfortable in an elevator or with roommates, so I suppose I'm just not looking in the right place. And now, with Swimfan, with have yet another example of something that I can't seem to have because, unfortunately, not all reviewers swim.

Here, we have the prime example of a guy who has everything. He's a talented enough swimmer to seal a deal with any university around, has popularity and friends, and has the component that many people are missing in life; love.
And then along comes temptation.
Her name is Madison, she's freshly attractive, and she's always in distress.
So, what's a talented guy to do? He's supposed to help her, of course. And, if that guy happens to be a swimmer - something I wish I could be, he's obviously supposed to go one step further, having "something" that "doesn't mean anything" with her.
When she tells you to say that you love her while doing it, however, and then begins stalking you, you apparently have been too helpful and tehn you have a problem.
O what a life.

Were I going to define the movie in one word, I would call it predictable. Everyknow can guess at what's going to happen and, most of the time, they'd be right. Added to that, the acting in the movie wasn't the greatest and it wasn't the worst, falling somewhere by the wayside of great cinematic. The storyline wasn't really all that interesting but it did have some hooks in it that kept one watching and waiting - and waiting - for something to manifest that sometimes did.
Unfortunately, the big pay-off, the clincher in the end that's supposed to be riveting, wasn't. Instead, it simply ended, trying to teach me a valuable lesson.
But what was that valuable lesson?
During this movie, I think I was supposed to feel sympathy for the man with everything. I think the point of it was to say that having an interestingly bizarre, always lovely, lioness of a woman following him around was a horrible fate and that nobody would want this to happen to him. Somehow, though, I couldn't find myself feeling anything. Here he was, a guy with the works, and he decided that the best option was to have more. When more starts stalking him, however, and looking cute doing it, he finds its not want he wants and that its ruining his life.
Now he can't swim anymore because his concentration is broke, scouts don't like him, and he's ruined his relationship.
Still, there's a bright side.
He has an obsessively beautiful lady stalking him!

If you are bored and have nothing else to do, then perhaps you might think of watching this movie. It does, after all, have the potential to be a little odd, and it does offer someone a few interesting turns as a relationship buds into that comfort zone we call obsessiveness. From those first little words to that "don't make me hit you with this baseball bat" place that could be avoided by simply accepting a little living, it does give somewhat. Just don't expect too much from the offering.

Summary: Freaky Movie
Review: This was a great movie. Very supenseful, and funny at certain parts. I was on the edge of my seat when Madison started doing all of that stuff to get Ben to like her again. I think that Ben should have never said "I love you" to her no matter what she said. Ericka gave a wonderful performance as Madison Bell and it was also very believeable that Ben would give into her. Jesse Bradford's performance was great too. Shiri Applesby was cool. I liked her character Amy. She would probably be a good girlfriend for any guy. Go see this movie. It's freaky and it'll keep you on the edge of your seat. Trust me, the images won't leave your mind.

Review: Swimfan (2002) Erika Christensen, Jesse Bradford, Shiri Appleby, Kate Burton, Clayne Crawford, Dan Hedaya, D: John Polson. Slick high school hunk Bradford living on the east coast has a close to ideal life with a girlfriend and a swimming scholarship toward Stanford-but ironically when the new-girl-in-school (Christensen) keeps running into him, she leads him into a forbidding (and routine) trap beginning with seducing him in the pool. Christensen is no Glenn Close and the film is no FATAL ATTRACTION. Only the swimming pool setting and some thrilling scenes can set this standard teen-stalker apart from the others. Fact: Logically, a teenager cannot serve medicine to hospital patients without being a registered nurse, and that goes for Mr. Bradford! Running Time: 85 minutes and rated PG-13 for some language, sinister elements, and sexual content.
