Summary: Suspenseful only in parts
Review: In a movie that's one part "Scream" and one part "Seven," Colin Farrell plays Stu, a dishonest publicist who answers an unlucky call in a phone booth. After calling a young actress (Katie Holmes) he fantasizes about having an affair with, the phone rings again and curious Stu feels compelled to answer. On the other end is a sniper who is targeting Stu for being a lying, manipulative person. He keeps Stu glued to the booth and threatens to kill his wife, would-be mistress, and various onlookers and cops if he does not confess his wrongdoings.
This is an interesting concept, focusing all of the action around very little action at all. But alas, director Joel Schumacher could only take the claustrophobia of the booth so far, leaving a quick, predictable, and unsatisfying ending to the film. I really wanted there to be something else that Stu was hiding, a deeper secret along with his usual discretions. But it didn't happen. It kind of makes you wonder why the sniper chose Stu when there were inarguably more evil criminals prowling the streets. Guess it was a case of wrong place at the wrong time.
Farrell's great acting make the movie watchable. He's becoming the king of movie accents as he tackles a Bronx Italian one for this movie. His portrayals of anger and fear are indeed powerful. Keifer Sutherland, always a great bad guy, lends creepiness as the voice of the sniper, and Forest Whitaker is great as Captain Ramey. Holmes was wasted, as she only had one scene of dialogue. I think a lower-profile actress could have taken her place (to at least save money). Watching Radha Mitchell as Stu's wife Kelly made me cringe. Bad actress alert! Her delivery of lines was SO wooden! Schumacher might as well have cast Madonna!
This is a must-see if you are a Colin Farrell fan, but there are clearly better suspense films out right now. And longer ones too!

Review: This movie was terrible. My mother fell asleep during it. Obviously very little thought went into the writing process of this movie. I highly suggest watching something else...anything else.

Summary: The Real "On the Line"
Review: The publicist Stu (Colin Farrell) was a playa! Did that mean that he should've been forced to stay in a "Phone Booth" for an hour and eighteen minutes? What if he had to use the restroom? That would've been troublesome. So a sniper (Kiefer Sutherland) had him pinned down like a super heavyweight doing a bodyslam on a skinny boy. He wasted so much time just to get him to confess to his wife and girlfriend of his sins. Unfortunately, Stu was a sissy child who cried way too much and proved to me that he really wasn't a playa! This movie is only OK.

Summary: 1 1/2 hour in a phone booth?!
Review: This movie sucked!! I thought it might be ok, having Kiether Sutherland in it. But I was so wrong. If your a Kiether Sutherland fan, sorry guys all you see is a blurry picture of him at the end.

Summary: Your Life Is on the Line
Review: This movie kicks [butt]. I feel that it has a good message in it. People who just think of themselves deserve what comes to them, and in this case its Stu Shepard who gets it. Colin Farrell is one of the best new actors today. I would recomend every one of his movies (that I've seen). Kiefer Sutherland did a great job with the voice. I enjoyed his messing with Colins brain. Can someone explain to me how Jim Carrey could have played this role?>

Summary: all eyes on the "booth"
Review: This was a very short film, and I have a thing about short films. Usually being "was this worth the money I spent, the lines I stood at, and the people you encounter...all for a 90 min/short but sweet flick. Under circumstances, I would have said "this film should have been longer", however...there is no need. Phone Booth has all the elements of keeping the suspense, with a little dab of humor, Joel Schumacher pulled it off with a "bang", using film techniques that could make George Lucus weaken in the knees. And that's a huge complement on Schumacher's part, since he had killed the Batman series. I actually asked my self after the final credits rolled "Did Alfred Hitchcock come back from the dead?" It is a rumor that even the master of suspense him self, always wanted to make a film around a phone booth. I think this would make Hitch him self proud.

The film shows the morals of one's actions of stupid things they do. Even though there is no sudden impact towards the moral of this story, it does however, raise some questions of American's today. Without giving too much detail of plot, I will say that it is highly clever enough with cliche angles (yet still seems a bit fresh) to please any moviegoer.

Summary: Phone Booth
Review: Phone Booth is a great movie filmed in just 12 days. Colin Farrell is the absolute star in this movie. You see him change from a guy who couldn't care less for some people into a scared guy who is willing to give his life for his wife and girlfriend.
Although the movie is filmed on just one location, the director managed to let it be a very exiting movie, you just can't walk away from and lets you want to know how it ends.
The actors all played very well in this movie and the director did his job very good too! Colin Farrell (Daredevil, The Reqruit) is on his way to a great and long lasting movie career. This movie deserves to win many awards! It is by far the best of its kind! You will sit on the edge of you seat from the beginning till the very end of the movie!

Summary: Phone Booth...
Review: This is probably one of the worst movies I have ever seen.I tried to watched it today, but after an agonizing hour, I walked out. It seemed that they had an interesting concept, but there's just not enough to make a whole movie out of. I got really bored and the characters weren't likable at all. Please do not waste your money on this movie.

Summary: What da heck?
Review: Just wanted to add my two cents and say-what da heck? The end was a wierd, artsy twist that had me scratching my head and looking panicked and confused as Colin Farell looks like through most of the movie as he saves hookers and their pimps from death and repeats kooky sentences like some modern R rated Fortune teller. Good thing the movie was a short snap of time. That was the high point of this film, imo.
