Sorority House Massacre 2: Nighty Nightmare

Summary: Better then the first but not by much
Review: A group of collage girls buy an old house to use as a Sorority House, once there they hear a story about a guy who hacked his family to pieces at that same house years ago. The girls find a ouija bourd and deside to use it to call the spirit of the killer, the lights go out so they deside to call it a night. During the night a killer walks around inside the house, stalking the girls one by one and slaughtering them. First this first, this is an in name only sequel, it has nothing to do with the first Sorority House Massacre at all. In fact this movie show clips from the original Slumber Party Massacre so wouldn't that make this SPM 4? Oh who cares. Sorority House Massacre 2 isn't about plot it's about fun and fun is what it delivers as well as quite alot of nudity and violence, well the violence is mostly off screen but still there is alot of the red stuff flying around. Overall SHM2 is nothing to special, it's a little slow and predictable but who cares, it's still better then SHM1

Summary: Sorority House Massacre? There was a first?
Review: After the incredibly embarassing original, a sequel is born that will blow every other sorority house movie away. 5 girls move into a haunted house where after they undress and engage in a rousing game of OUIJA, one of them is possessed by the spirit of the original owner who killed a bunch of other girls before. Excellent low budgeter with some nice hook murders which never lose their charm. Oh, by the way, don't be decieved by the heart warming reanactment scene. Those scenes were NOT from the original.

Review: I agree with most of the other comments as far as "cheesy and campy and humorously bad" which you have to know beforehand... but what I didn't expect is the lack of gore. Instead of showing the gore they just cut away and show a shadow of it on the wall, or ever worse, show a splatter of blood on the wall, which is a huge huge disappointment for a "horror" movie. Not recommended... it's just too bad to enjoy.

Summary: All you'd expect, and then some
Review: I purchased this movie used for around [...] and regret every moment of it. It's because of films like thsi that the horror genre is so looked down upon today. Joe Bob Briggs said it would set the standard for the modern Horror film and he was right. Virtually every horror film in the 80's featured cheap acting and big breasted women getting naked and getting killed. Thus the slasher movie was born.
The plot behind this is that there is a group of college girls, who are purchasing a new sorority house. Little do they know it once was the scene of a grisley set of murders (sorority house Massacre 1) and from there they meet the immortal neighbor (litterally he is shot, stabbed, burned, caught in a bear trap, drowned in the toilet, and so on) and hear his strange tale. we also have a police detective who worked on the origional case and wants to make sure nothing bad happens.
Here is how bad some of the scenes are. At one point the girls throat is slit and blood splatters on the wall, we see that exact same spot a minute latter and it's perfectly clean. Oh and like a typical slasher film of the time there are 9 girls in the movie, 8 of them get topless.
To give it credit though it's not the worst film I have ever seen, but it's just barely watchable.

Summary: Hooray for boobies!
Review: I've seen all the massacre movies (slumber party I,II,and III, and sorority I) and this by far is the best one. This one actually feels like a horror movie. Same actress and guy who did the "Haunting of Morella". The best music, scary neighbor guy, ouija boards, spirit possesions, spooky haunting stories, and girls running around in nighties. This movie has it all!
