Summary: NIghtmares should not fade into obscurity!
Review: A young Emilio Estevez shines in this great short story compilation. All the stories are good but the one Estevez is in where he becomes obsessed with a video game is the best one. It sort of like Cat's Eye or The House That Dripped Blood. If you enjoy short stories and horror pick it up.

Summary: Rat as big as Shaq
Review: Finally I found the title of this flick!! I was like, 6 or something when I first watched this, and forgot the name for 20 years until tonight!!!! The movies that stand out is the video game one, the one where the Estevez dude turns to a monochrome dude trapped in the game, and then of course the last one, with the rat, as big as Shaq!!!! Now that is scary!!!!! This is a dandy 80's flick!!!

Summary: WATCH ANY NETWORK "SPECIAL" PROGRAMMING
Review: First and foremost, I heard about this movie for years. And as legends grow, so do the myths. A friend of mine ALWAYS talked about a movie that had a "BLACK TRUCK" in it. This truck was evil. It had a "UP-SIDE DOWN" Crucifix hanging from the window. "BIG WHOOP".The ONLY scene that me "JUMP" was the first episode. The only "OTHER" reason to buy this tape is to see a young Emillo Estevas, (THE COOLEST OF THE BROTHERS) and to hear the ORIGINAL MISFITS and FEAR. Other than wanting to be sixteen/seventeen again, I can do without this movie.I'll leave alone the "RAT" story, only because i still like the guy who Ann Romano boyfriend on "ONE DAY AT A TIME" (RICHARD MASER)No thrills-chills or whatever. A recommendation, "Trilogy of Terror".THANXX, FREEBIRD

Summary: Decent, but rent it first
Review: Four short stories. The first one about a lady and a serial killer is done well. The second I really liked because Emilio Estevez plays a charcter similar to the one he did in Repo Man. The last two stories stink though.

The second focuses on Emilo Estevez as a kid obssessed with the video game--The Bishop of Battle...and gets more than what he bargained for when he ends up in the game...the third about a priest who loses faith...and the last "Night of the Rat" a story of a family with a big problem in their home...a giant rat. Summary: nightmares on DVD
Review: I've loved this movie since I was 7 years old and it still holds up 17 years later.The first story still has the power to give u a really good shock.The second 'bishop of battle' is my personal favorite and anyone who is a video game freak should love it.The 3rd is reminiscient of spielbergs Dual.And the 4th should scare anyone who has a rat phobia.Although a great and underappreciated horror movie the DVD could have used some bonus material. But all we get here is a full framed version (probably the way it was filmed since it was originally meant for television) and the trailer.Oh well, this a must see for any serious horror buff.

Summary: One of the Best Horror Movies Ever Made...
Review: This has to be one of the best scary movies they have made. It might not be the very best but of course it is really not the worst. I remember seeing this movie on TV about 5 or 6 years ago and I just bought it. The first story deals with a lady being chased around by a maniac, when she goes out for a pack of cigarettes this story is ***1/2 out of ****. The second story is about a kid that just has to get to level 13 on an arcade game (stars a young Emilio Estevez) this story gets *** out of ****. The third is on of my least favorites about a priest who is being chased by a truck from hell (it really is a truck from hell)this gets ** out of ****. And the last (Night of the Rat) is my favorite. It is about a rat who just wants a simple thing to leave find out what that is after watching "NIGHTMARES" on VHS or DVD! This movies get a **** out of ****

Summary: decent horror movie...awesome soundtrack
Review: This is a decent anthology film from the early 80's with a great soundtrack. The first story is only decent , not great , but not bad either although the scene where the gas station attendent busted through the chick's window scared me the first time I saw it. The second story is the best one , with Emilio Estevez as a arcade junkie who gets more than he bargains for when he reaches the 13 level. The third story is the worst and a waste of time even though Lance Henrikson is an awesome actor. The fourth is also great about a mythological devil rat harassing a suburban family. That story also featured an hillarious scene where Richard Masur is shooting at the rat and the stereo blast Black Flag's "Louie Louie" (what middle class home would even own a Black Flag album). I wouldnt recommend buying it..but it's a cool movie to rent or watch on late night tv
