Summary: A scary and smart movie!
Review: Tim Burton has a twisted imagination and this becomes very apparent in his rendition of the legend of sleepy hollow. Ricci is surprisingly good and Depp is a natural fit as the eccentric constable. The colors in the movie shift in an appropriate way to set the mood.

Summary: Great movie
Review: Brilliant, graphic, intense, romantic, eerie, and wonderful art direction. The acting is quite good and this "R" rated version of the Washington Irving story is a facinating experience. Much better than I had expected, and I am willing to bet for most who have not yet seen this film, it will be better than you expect as well.

Summary: An American Folklore Classic........
Review: Tim Burton did a fantastic version of Sleepy Hollow. The dreary and dark landscapes, odd characters, and the special effects were classic Tim Burton. The decapitation scenes were at times grusome. The true star of the movie was the Headless Horsemen and his horse. I enjoyed the segment on the DVD how the movie was developed and the special effects used in the movie. I would recommend this movie.

Summary: Not your average horror flick!
Review: This movie was incredible. It had it all, romance, drama, mystery, an awesome music score, intensity, adacity and most of all an intriguing story and point. The acting was excellent. The character's were very well portrayed. Johnny Depp was the only person of who I could think of naturally to play the part of Ichabod Crane. I think that Washington Irving had him in mind, when he wrote the story. Christina Ricci was more beautiful than I've seen her. Ray Park a.k.a. Darth Maul from Star Wars-Episode 1 The Phantom Menace, was a very convincing headless horseman. And, the fight scenes were addicting. As his coreography always is. The decapitations were awesome. My favorite one is where he decapitates a victim and his head spins around on his neck as it's severed. And, falls and rolls on the ground, right into an unsuspecting Ichabod Crane's lap. And, what I loved most about this movie was it was unpredictable. Unlike most horror films. It gave me the feeling, of not knowing what was going to happen. Danny Elfman wrote a haunting music score. And, it makes your adrenaline rush. And, your heart beat even faster. Tim Burton was delightful as the director of this film. And he always is. With an unstoppable imagination. I recommend this movie to the non-squeamish. Unless, you like an occasional decapatation or two. So, sit back. Relax, if you can. And, listen. You never know what lurks in the darkness of the shadows. Because, HEADS WILL ROLL!

Summary: Bad Bad & Bad !
Review: I'm even spending my time on writing on this one, I'll just suggest you all NOT to see this movie, there is nothing to see, the story is bad and sticky, there is too much science fiction, and even the sound doesn't compensate on it, in shortly, all the signs for bad movie......

Summary: Exceeding my expectation
Review: This movie is every bit a Tim Burton's movie with its haunting & atmospheric setting. It reminds the viewers of the Gothic setting in Batman, Edwards Scissorhands & even The Night before Christmas. This movie is more than just being a horror-romance movie but it's also a black comedy as well. I'm fairly surprised by the suspense nature of the movie but when the mystery is made known, everything becomes predictable. Perhaps, if the suspense is dragged on longer, it would captivate more interest of the viewers. Johnny Depp is comfortable as the role of the male lead, an eccentric detective cop from the Big Apple. He is hillariously funny at times & has proven his versatility in playing other roles in Donnie Brasco, or even Astronaut's Wife. Christina Ricci is definitely coming of age & is convincing in her role as this voluptuous but intelligent female lead. She seems to have gone from strength to strength since her heyday in Addams Family. Watch out for cameo appearances by Christopher Lee & Walther Matthaw. Christopher Walken is great as the headless horse rider. If you are a Tim Burton's fan, you would definitely enjoy the movie. Worth viewing.

Summary: An enjoyable, suspenseful movie.
Review: Sure, a lot of Sleepy Hollow is eye candy. But it was a fun movie to watch, and was well acted. The suspense was great, and I kept on guessing until the end who the true villian was. Plus, it seemed pretty historically accurate, too, as far as scenary and costumes went. I highly reccomend this to horror fans. A great scary movie!

Summary: Highly stylish and exciting!
Review: Tim Burton's latest film plays more like an action movie than a horror but is so stylish and exciting it makes for an excellant movie.

Johnny Depp stars as a constable in New York sent to a little town by the name of Sleepy Hollow. He is sent there to investigate a series of murders each involving a dicapitation. He is quickly swept up into a world of ghouls, witchcraft and conspiracy.

Depp is at his usual greatness playing the very humourous Icabod Crane. He delevers lines with such greatness that he plays there humour or seriousness perfectly. Ricci is also good as his love interest.

But the real star is the Headless Horseman, who has to be one of the coolest villians in movie history. He swings his sword so well and has such a demenor about him that you can't help but sort of route for him. And in the flashbacks Christopher Walken has to be the most frightening looking he has ever been.

So all in all, it is a well played, beautifully directed and very exciting thriller which I would recommend to anybody, art film lovers and blockbuster lovers alike.

Summary: Busting with Burton goodness
Review: This movie was just full of Tim burtons signuter cinimatic senses. A work of art, and funny as hell, it was funny while scaring you half to death with plenty of action. And at the side lines a love story in which Jonney Depp is extrodinary, he is through the whole movie. You might remember him from Edward sissor hands, another Burton masterpeice. I hold this movie in me top 3 with interveiw with a vampire. All and all a good movie.

Summary: The Best Film of 1999 - No Kidding.
Review: I love this movie, it is totally the best film of 1999. The most stylish and best horror in a long time. You'll love it.

Ichabod Crane (Johnny Depp - marvellous in this one) has just been sent to discover the Headless Horseman in a town called Sleepy Hollow. The Horseman is continously decapitating residents of the small town, and Crane does not yet know he is next in line.

You'll scream, you'll laugh - this movie has it all! Should of won over American Beauty at the Oscars....
