Summary: Sloppy, But a Great Idea and a Good Movie
Review: I think this movie had some major sloppiness too it, and i don't understand the very beginning of the movie. What does the beginning have to do with the rest of the movie, except to confuse you. I think the premise for this movie is brilliant and well done. Melissa Sagemiller's performance along with the rest of the cast is very good. I think this movie could have been a five star movie, if it didn't have some sloppiness in it. The ending could've been better, i'm just trying to figure out why they tried to turn it into a slasher flick. I'm a little biased cause fr some reason i'm not a fan of Wes Bentley, didn't like him in American Beauty and didn't like him in this. Wonderful premise though.

Summary: A killer waste of time
Review: I never saw this in the theater, so I don't know the difference between the original version and this one. All I know is that this version of the film walks the line between entertaining and preposterous, more often falling off the side of the latter.

To begin, the lead actress (Melissa Sagemiller) is certainly cute enough to hold one's attention, but she isn't given much to do. She continually sees her dead boyfriend, Sean (Casey Affleck), around campus. Yeah, okay, but isn't three times enough? And Affleck gives a performance that is so low-key one wonders if he thought his character was dead even before the fatal car crash.

Eliza Dushku (character name forgotten and unnecessary) plays Sagemiller's best friend, who just happens to be going out with Sagemiller's ex-boyfriend (Wes Bentley) who just happens to still have a thing for her. Dushku's character is the most interesting of the bunch, but that's probably because she is the archetypal "bad girl with some Lesbian tendencies" and walks around in revealing tops throughout the film.

Bentley is clearly the best actor here, making even his worst lines smack of sincerity. I never once laughed at him.

And speaking of sincerity, Luke Wilson plays a priest who is the most *sincere* character I have seen in a movie in years. You keep waiting for him to come on to Sagemiller or something, but he never does anything reproachable. I mean, why have a priest in a horror movie if he isn't going to be villainous?

Some of these situations and character motivations actually make some sense once you know the ending of the film. Some. But, that is not to say I would recommend watching it more than once--or even once for that matter.

Summary: What the...???
Review: That pretty much sums up this film.I waited over a year to see this film, and I am completely disappointed. This movie not only had mediocre characters, but a completely farfetched not too mention extremely lame plot. All I wanted to do throughout the film was turn it off, but I gave it the benefit of the doubt and watched the entire film, and now that is a hour and a half I will never get back! Save the money and see or buy another film, I won't tell you which one because anyone will be better than this one! :(

Summary: Easily One of the Worst Movies Ever!!!
Review: This movie is terrible. Hands Down. The plot is ridiculous, sloppy and so predictable it's amazing. It's almost like they wanted to make a bad movie. They have succeeded!! I can't even begin to say enough bad things about this movie. A total waste of time and money. Forget it exists.

Summary: A Shocker!!
Review: This is a real suprise at the end. Cassie, Sean, Annabel, and Matt are all friends who get involved in a deadly car accident after a night at a creepy club. After the accident, Cassie is feeling guilty for the death of Sean (This isn't ruining anything). She starts to see Sean in school and people she thinks had to do with the accident. Annabel is getting more anoyed with Cassie, and Annabel is getting more wild. Cassie can't figure out who is her friend and who want's her dead!! The end is a real shocker, I still don't really get the bigging...But it will keep you guessing and entertained!!

Summary: I Survived It!
Review: This films starts off good, but after a while falls badly. Although the acting is good its very hard to understand whats going on.In the end I just forgot everything that had happened and didnt have a clue. It must be one of those films where you have to watch it twice but not me I cant sit through that again.
Rent it before you buy is my tip.

Summary: which movie did it rip off most?
Review: I want to say that this movie is a total ripoff of Jacob's Ladder, but it rips just as directly from Carnival of Souls and snags a major element from the Sixth Sense and takes it's ambience from a Twilight Zone episode. I would tell you what they steal from each but I do not want to ruin the surprise of the movie for you. Then again, I think that the movie does that for you. I think I'll go with Jacob's Ladder. I wrote the complete plot down 35 minutes into the movie and was spot on with my guesses. It also features lukewarm acting so that you don't get wrapped up enough in the heroine enough to carry you throught the slow spots. Stick with Tim Robbins instead and buy Jacob's Ladder.

Summary: HELP!
Review: Can anyone tell me what this movie was actually about? Can anyone tell me **why** it was ever made except to see Dushku and Featherstone together in sapphic creepiness??

Pointless otherwise.

Summary: POTENTIALLY SOMETHING REALLY COOL
Review: This movie was confusing to say the least.

... and I'm not talking about the odd path of the dream-like, mysterious, what's going on storyline. I'm talking about the fact that it wasn't better than it was??

The movie had a lot of things going for it. It was very well shot. Cool images. A frightening opening scene that started to flesh out as the cast of characters attended a very dark and mysterious dance club. A club where, the audience knows they shouldn't be there, but the characters don't.

The cast was excellent. Melissa Sagemiller, Wes Bentley, Casey Affleck, Eliza Dushku and very creep Angela Featherstone, all performed well.

Yet, all of a sudden, the movie jumped into this dreamlike state, forgetting the story they had started, and took us in a direction that, well...

I'm confused. I don't know if it was supposed to be surprising? If it was supposed to leave me guessing? It didn't. I knew exactly what was going on. The first part of the movie was intriguing. But, quite frankly, The second part of the movie was an absolute yawner.

In baseball terms, SOUL SURVIVORS was a foul ball. A LONG foul ball, but a fall ball all in the same.

Summary: Id rather drink bleach then watch this film ever again
Review: OK let me first start by saying when i first saw trailers and posters i was so psyched about this movie. After it kept getting pushed back i knew they were messingup the film. When it finally did come out in like 2 theatres as PG-13 i was like forget this.... this is gonna be garbage and im gonna be disapointed. When i heard the DVD would be Rated R and "more horror" i was excited all over again.... just to be COMPLETELY dissapointed..

This movie makes you seem like its going to be "a nightmare on elm street type" killer. Where there there is the entity thatis suppose to be dead that i back for revenge to stalk the girl who killed them in an accident. Instead its just CORNY... i mean they tried so hard to make you think (which is cool) but instead of provocing thought it provoke only one thought , which is "what the hell was the director" thinking????
It had so many plotholes and useless characters (i.e. luke wilson as a priest that really isnt there and also the opening scene where a girl gets "ritual" murdered, but has absolutely nothing to do with the story?

I was hoping that the ending would shock me and throug me for a loop and i would be glad i sat through this movie... but NO again it just made me want to slit my wrists.

Within the last 10 mins they try to make you think "everything is now hat it seems" but then they flip it again a minute later and one time..... was that really necessary? Ever since movies like scream and the 6th sense people have trie tocopy but then mutate this story line with a suprise twist - come together in the last scnene-type scenario .. but its played out, overdone and just stupid...

PEOPLE LISTEN TO ME -- im not not a tough movie fan to please don not buy thi movie. If they make money im scared they will make a sequel. This movie has no personality to it...
