Summary: Fokin A !
Review: What can I say?
Great film - Paxton is amazing. I hope he gets more roles like this. Watch Frailty as soon as you can. If youve seen it - see it again.

Summary: Great movie.......but the ending spoiled the whole thing!!!
Review: I love horror movies, and this movie was great.......until the very end. The ending totally spoiled the movie. And if you dont want a spoiler, stop reading now.

The end of the movie made it look like God really was telling this family to kill people. I am a Christian, and this movie is totally sac religious. God would never tell someone to go out and committ mass murders. If they had ended the movie in a mannor that portrayed the killers as crazy, it would have been great. If your a Christian, this movie SHOULD greatly offend you.

Summary: The Best Movie of 2002
Review: There is not much to say about this movie that has not already been said except for that it is easily the best movie of 2002 (at least as of this writing). I was "forced" to see it and nearly succeeded in avoiding it... but I thank the movie Gods that I found myself watching this brilliant thriller (note to reviewer "Who Is Otis"... this is NOT a horror movie, perhaps that is why your review is so bad and off the mark).

Paxton's genius will of course be missed come award time but he deserves high praise for his directing and acting. If this is what we can expect from him then perhaps he should give up his acting career for directing... he is THAT good.

Summary: much more than just a horror film
Review: What would you do if your single, loving, upright father came into your room as a child, and told both you and your little brother that God had just delivered a message to him, and that you were all "super-heroes" in a sense, placed on this Earth to get rid of certain "demons", disguised as human beings?
This is one disturbing movie, folks. It aims to creep you out, and it delivers on all sides The story was intriguing, the mood was devastatingly eerie, the transition between the family's early days together and its eventual path was well handled, the psychological effects on the kids was credible, and the scenes in which certain people were murdered, were also quite shocking
But I have to say that what really kept me into this movie was the relationship between the father and his sons. This flick could've been blown off if this connection had not been played out with tangible credibility or love behind it, but Paxton does a great job, as both an actor and director, of giving the audience a true sense of the father's struggle between the love for his sons and his apparent "mission from God". You see him fighting with this dilemma throughout the movie, and the ultimate revelation about all of the film's events, makes it all, that much sadder I really loved this movie. An amazing achievement by a first-time director and the best film that I've seen so far this year.

Summary: Best new release of 2002
Review: I tend to think of _Frailty_ in much the same manner as David Lynch's _Mulholland Dr._: as a dream (or rather, a paranoid delusion) in which the subject's visionary position is never fully revealed. In some ways, though, _Frailty_ is even more deceptive. Unlike _Mulholland Dr._, which flouts the laws of cinematic realism from the start, _Frailty_ begins as a straightforward, character-driven thriller in a generally realistic mode. But a few unexpected plot twists in the final act rip away that initial veneer of realism, along with any comfort it might bring.

To see _Frailty_ is to look through the eyes of a genuine fanatic. The vision is internally cohesive, even ruthlessly logical in its way. But it bears precious little resemblance to the world we inhabit -- which, I would argue, is the point and the value of the film.

Summary: Pretty good
Review: I expected this movie to be mediocre to half way decent. When I watched it, I thought it was bad .... I watched it in the theater, before all the hype about it. If you expect too much from this movie, you might not like it too much. But since I didn't expect much, it surpassed everything that I expected....

Summary: old school....
Review: this is perhaps the best psychological thriller i have ever seen. i really enjoyed the old school style (and more imaginative style) of not actually showing people die much like old black and whites used to do. it leaves so much to the imagination and adds a lot of character to the film. be warned... if you want a slasher film, then this isn't for you but if you really want to see a high quality storyline and thriller then you will probably enjoy this immensely.

p.s. the twists and turns at the end are stellar.

Summary: I am very dissapointed
Review: Okay, I know many of you think that this movie is great, and I respect that, but this movie was the dumbest movie I have ever seen. I am the biggest horror film freak but this movie just doesn't have it. I would highly reccomend staying way from this film.

Summary: BP's Directorial Debut
Review: I thought that Frailty did well documenting a psychotic break and the victimization of kids with nowhere to turn. The surprise ending gave it that zing that no one was expecting.

Summary: Top notch!
Review: It is a shame when movies like Frailty seem to appear and then disolve away without much notice or fan fare. Simply, this movie is a must own for anyone into mysteries or thrillers. The story is well paced with narrative and flash backs and the whole thing is well acted. While there is implied violence it doesn't resort to gore to try and get your attention. This is a movie that will hold your attention from beginning to end. Bill Paxton is not one of my favorite actors but did a great job playing the caring but certainly nuts Father who begins his decent into madness and tries to take his children with him. Easily one of the best movies of the last 12 months. Just too bad it didn't get the attention it deserved while in theaters.
