Rating: Summary: Well done, but not as great as many think Review: This is a well acted, directed and written movie. There are many chilling moments. The scenes help to build upon one another until the final pieces are put together in the end. The ending, by the way, is very memorable. However, it is not the best thriller of all time. It is overrated in that regard. Also, Bruce Willis does a very good job underplaying his role. He doesnt get nearly enough credit.
Rating: Summary: Incoherent at best Review: The fifth element, the sixth sense, what is next? the seventh donnut? The movie is incoherent at best. A patchwork and imitation of other people's ideas, which only makes one feel a little scared here and there. Definitely not worth buying or seeing.
Rating: Summary: Best Film of 1999 Review: This is a masterpiece. It has an interesting story and an amazing ending. Artfully, the ending is apparant through the entire movie, but hidden. Haley Joel Osment did incredible acting. The movie managed to frighten me. Also, it had great music right from the beginning.
Rating: Summary: THE BEST MOVIE! FORGET WHAT PEOPLE SAY! Review: This movie was the best movie i have ever seen! The acting was great and the story was great! Buy this movie if you like good suspense/thriller/horror movies.
Rating: Summary: Awsome thriller movie. Review: 'The Sixth Sense' is probably one of the best movies I've ever seen. People who don't understand this movie either (a) don't pay close attention to what's happening in this movie; (b) just don't know much about the sixth sense; or (c) don't believe in the sixth sense. The 'sixth sense', for those who have no clue on what it is, is a "special power" that some people (very few, however) can have. They claim to be able to see ghosts and spirits and be able to talk to them and the ghosts and spirits can talk back to them and see them - kind of like being a median. Anyway, this movie is about a little boy name Cole and a child phychiatrist named Malcolm. In the beginning, Malcolm and his wife meet one of Malcolm's old patients. That patient tells Malcolm that Malcolm hadn't helped him solve his problems, that it just made his problems worse. So Malcolm's patient ended up shooting Malcolm with a gun and then killed himself. A year later, Malcolm's new patient is 9-year-old Cole Sears who has the sixth sense. He's afraid of the ghosts and spirits who "haunt" him - that's his secret that he shares with Malcolm. Cole hides out in a church for sanctuary reasons because of the ghosts. When Malcolm finds out Cole's secret, he tries to help Cole get rid of the ghosts and make them leave him alone. 'The Sixth Sense' is a really good thriller starring Bruce Willis and Haley Joel Osment with a really surprising ending! The acting is spectacular, and Haley Joel Osment shines in this movie (it's a real shame he didn't win that Oscar for 'Best Supporting Actor' - he really deserved it)! The plot of this movie is brilliant, and seemed very real, like it could really happen to someone. If you want to see a really good thriller movie then see 'The Sixth Sense' - you'll enjoy it!
Rating: Summary: Best Psychological Thriller in a LONG Time! Review: This is one of the best movies to come out in a long time. What most people who hated it don't understand is that it is a psychological movie, NOT a horror movie. If you are looking for blood, guts, men in masks, chainsaws and all the other boring teenybopper horror movie cliches, this movie is not for you. If you enjoy probing the power of the mind and "the other side" you will love this movie.
Rating: Summary: Stunning character inter-play! Review: Psychological thrillers have always been a favorite story line for me. I listened and watched intently as Cole and Matthew drew on the strenths and weaknesses of each other-fascinated at the growth of fear in each. At the beginning, Matthew, the doctor, was calm, patient and wanting to help Cole because, as a therapist, he had failed a patient in the past-someone like Cole. But as Cole draws closer to Matthew and begins to verbalize his terrors, Matthew begins to draw away as he faces......Well, you have to watch the ending to know that, but when you do, you'll want to go right back to the beginning-and when you do that, you'll be amazed at what you missed the first time! Enjoy!
Rating: Summary: A Great Movie Review: It is the best movie I ever seen in many years, specially by the end of the film, which is very intriguing and amazing. When I left the theater, my first thought was that I wanted to see this film at least one more time to realize how well-directed had the movie been made. A wonderful film with great actors too.
Rating: Summary: Best picture nomination? Review: Okay, if this movie wasn't nominated for best picture I would have given it a much higher rating. It is, afterall, a very good movie. However, I want to know how it got nominated for best picture. I saw it as just another summer flick that happened to be better than the rest. The Sixth Sense is just another "good" movie that should only go down with ones like "The General's Daughter" and "U-571." I found it humorus that Bruce Willis' tape recorder has 'the sixth sense' too. :)
Rating: Summary: Sixth Sense Review: As a horror movie fanatic I thought that this was one of the best I have ever seen. I feel that it's on the same level of The Shining with Jack Nicholson. I'd recommend this to everyone who loves to be scared.
