Review: This movie was good the first time, but boring after that. The characters are interesting as kids, but are boring as grown-ups. Tim Curry was great as the clown. Definatly the highlight of the movie. It is missing a lot of the most interesting parts of the book, but the book was way too long.

Summary: Pretty weak..
Review: I just finished watching this on cable and, wow, was it mediocre. I made the same mistake another reviewer made and read the book first. While long, the book goes into much more detail which made for a far better story. Although it's tough to bring a long book to the screen, the movie was very corny, especially the ending. Again, wow! What was that?! I can't say that it was terrible and parts were kinda fun to watch but I definitely would not recommend someone actually buying this. Watch it on cable if it's on but save your money for the far better scary movies available..

Summary: a really stupid movie thats not even scary
Review: when i first seen this movie, some of the parts were pretty good but the rest of the plot were really stupid. i mean come on these grown people are still scared and afraid about that stupid looking clown that doesnt even look scary??? how they even tried beating the crap out of him or even killing him??? this is the most stupidest movie i ever seen and there's movies more scarier than this one and it is so boring to watch too. and this movie isnt even scary not for me to say the least. if you want to watch true scary movies go buy The Exorcist. enough said about this film.

Review: Tim Curry is the best part of this movie. He's a clown that will visit you in your nightmares. But this story is way too dragged out and the "explanation" for the killings is ridiculous. It was a huge letdown after watching this movie for hours.

Review: Seven adults ( John Ritter, Harry Anderson, Dennis Christopher, Richard Masur, Annette O'Toole, Tim Reid and Richard Thomas) had a terrifying childhood in the 60's in a maine town where an evil being in the form of a clown named "Pennywise" ( Tim Curry) has murdered children there and the kids stopped him. However in 30 years, they are grown up and suddenly murders start happening in that maine town by the creature " IT" and must face IT again.Excellent adaptation of the classic Stephen King novel and packs great scares, fine performances especially by the terrifying Tim Curry and shocks as well. It's probably the best Stephen King mini-series movie this side of " The Stand". Also recommended: " Freddy Vs. Jason", " A Nightmare on Elm Street", " Hellraiser", " Making Contact ( a.k.a. Summary: 'IT' Delievers!
Review: John Wayne Gacy. Clarabelle. Bozo. Pennywise the Dancing Clown. What do these four have in common? They're all members of the most evil collective (outside of mimes) known to man. That's right. They're all clowns. The town of Derry, Maine, has a nasty little secret it's been hiding since the 1700's. Every thirty years, the town experiences a rash of disappearances and ghastly murders, usually involving children. Most of the adults, including the police in the town know about it, but don't say anything. A group of seven kids set out to find what is happening, and in the sewers of the town, they find it. An evil clown (as if there is any other kind) is hiding there, and is killing the kids of Derry. One of them shoots Pennywise with a piece of silver, and Pennywise beats a hasty retreat. They think he's dead, but vow to return to finish the job if he's not. Flash forward another thirty years. Guess what? Yep, more murders, just like what happened when they were kids. The one member of "The Lucky Seven" who remained in Derry calls up his friends, and they all head back (except one, who kills himself rather than face the horror he experienced when he was a kid). It's at this point that the movie takes a turn from a good movie to a *very* good movie. As each of the Seven arrive, they experience surrealistic events, concocted by Pennywise to drive them out of town. And it almost works on numerous occasions. Eventually they see through this, and decide to band together again to rid the town of this oppressing evil. They make their way back to sewer, and eventually find Pennywise, who it turns out is a giant arachnid (an alien?) who merely takes the form of a clown to attract his victims. Again Pennywise is shot with a piece of silver, and they track him down and literally rip him to shreds. I remember seeing this when it first aired, but haven't seen it since. So I went in without really knowing what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised. This is one of the best of the Stephen King novels put to the small screen (second only to the excellent "The Stand"). The cast is populated by TV stars, including John Ritter and Harry Anderson. I was really afraid about this, but for the most part they played the roles really well. Harry Anderson did get out of control a couple times, though. Tim Curry is just beyond belief as Pennywise. His portrayal as the evil clown is played so well, you almost get the feeling that he was allowed to view the secret clown rituals where they sacrifice goats and monkeys to their evil deity, Bozo the clown, then all hop in a car built for four and drive off. (OK, none of that last part is true. I just don't like clowns. I think thy're sick, demented people. Feel free to disagree with me.) In short, go out and find this mini-series. It's well worth the time and effort.

Summary: Great Film
Review: This is a great Stephen King adaptation. You rarely find movies thta were made for t.v. as good as this one. But why rate it PG. It should be PG-13. Now people are saying how do you know it's rated PG. It's not rated. Well I'm going by the Canadian rating since I don't think there should be movies that are Not Rated. Anyway, we were pretty lucky to get a commentary to go with this movie because it's a t.v. realese, but we do anyway. The commentary is quite good and entertaining to listen to. They talk alot about the movie and what it was like filming that part. My favorite part out of the whole movie is the part where Becky is in the bathroom. I don't want to gine it away for all the people who haven't seen it yet. Even thou this is a good movie, I think people should rent it first just to make sure they do like it. I didn't rent it first and I didn't want to. I got this for a gift. So, this movie is great and is a movie for anyone of the fan of the genre. I highly recomend picking this up or ordering it.

Summary: A Great Imagination From Stephen King. Very Original.
Review: I have seen Stephen King's It at least over 20 times. It was a very entertaining thriller. The story sets place in Derry,Maine where seven kids known as "The Losers Club" join together and later put up a fight against a malevolent clown named Pennywise, who comes out every 30 years to kill and eat children alive. Pennywise can read children's minds and turn to anything they're afraid of. The Lucky Seven had issues, and later became unusually successful. Bill Denbrough, who lost his little brother and stutters, became a horror novelist. Ben Hanscom, who was overweight, and lost his father, became an architect. Beverly Marsh, who has an abusive father, becomes a fashion designer. Eddie Kasbrack, who had asth'ma and an overprotective mother, got into the limousine business. Richie Tozier had metalbolism becomes a stand up comic. Stan Uris was a jew, and Mike Hanlon, a black man, becomes a librarian in Derry. After 30 years, Mike Hanlon finds out that It is back and calls everybody one by one. Each individual went back to their flashbacks and showed how they got together as close friends, getting picked on by a school bully named Henry Bowers, and they go to the sewer to kill It, but came close and made a promise to come back to Derry if Its not dead. Stan gets the last phone call and committs suicide because he couldn't handle the pressure to bring himself back to Derry based on his promise. The rest of the lucky seven got together, talked about the old times and plotted to kill It. When they went to the sewer for the second time, It turns into a gigantic spider. Eddie gets squeezed to death and dies. The rest of them kill It by ripping his heart out and the nightmares were over. Everybody moved on with their lives. If you are fan of Stephen King, then i recommend this movie. If you are afraid of clowns, this will frighten you.
