Summary: A Fair Remake of A Classic Tale
Review: The VHS version of this film wasnt anything great I would very much like to see the DVD version with the special features. But the movie was fine without them.There was many changes to the tale of sleepy hollow. But the overall plot was the same, the headless horseman is coming. This movie had a very spooky enviorment, background, and overall disturbing images. There is alot of blood, see... The headless horseman is being controlled by an unknown force, and is going on a killing spree. I thought some of the killings were quite clever, like two kills and one body. It took me a while to find out what some of them ment. But it is a great movie to watch if your looking for a slasher that makes you think. If you like this movie, I might suggest Frailty.

Summary: Simply superb and Johnny Depp makes the difference
Review: I was amazed the variety of characters that Johnny Depp has played in the past with Edward Scissorhands, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas and the list goes on. Sleepy Hollow is a master piece that brings out the humourous constable's work and the thrilling moments that revolves around the mysterious town in upstate New York. There are subtle special effects that accentuate the foggy ambience in the town that will surely send a chill down the spine. Hats off to the British visual effects crew! DTS version would have been a boon. This movie is a classic that you would love to keep for time to come.

Review: i thought this movie would be a cheap rip off of the original like many remakes are nowdays. but wow, this movie is great! its really gothic and although its probably a horror movie, it has its bright sides as well :P johnny depp is wonderful and the entire movie is just spine tingling.

Summary: I don't need a title when you could be reading the review
Review: Sleepy Hollow is great. It wasn't as suspensful as I thought it would be; but that doesn't make a difference. Tim Burton did an amazing job with this. As well as Johnny Depp. I am also surprised that the actors did all of their own stunts (such as Johnny Depp getting dragged along the ground by a horse or him on that windmill). I was about to give the movie 4 stars. This is because I don't think this is the best movie that Johnny Depp has been in. I think this because Ichabod Crane as a character didn't really have a strong personality. Not Johnny Depp's fault, of course. I could imagine that it would be hard to act as someone who's kind of hidden. Overall, it was very good.

Summary: Fantastically dark and suspenseful
Review: I absolutely love this movie. I had not had the luck to see it in the theatre, but after renting it I had to buy my own copy. Tim Burton does a fantastic job of creating a dark mood. Even the photography has muted colors, which adds to the atmosphere of the movie. Johnny Depp's character, Ichabod Crane is a quirky and amusing. The best is Christopher Walken as the Headless Horseman. I could not think of anyone better to play this part. Overall, this is a horror movie that actually has horror, not just blood and gore, not to mention a believable plot, which most horrors fall short on.

Summary: Nice take on a Classic
Review: Depp and Ricci shine in this unusual take on Irving's classic tale. I must admit is was skeptical of the film, but that was quickly dismissed by Burton't genius. The towns' people are very much how I would image them, and the story takes on a more mystical side that Irving gave it. One could almost say it is better than the original story. It is certainly more interesting. DVD is great so is the movie.

Summary: TOTALLY AWESOME
Review: Wow! I have to admit that this adaptation of the classic story by Washington Irving is not completely accurate to the story itself, but is amazing non the least. The story follows Policeman Icabod Crane as he goes to the small town of Sleepy Hollow to investigate strange murders by a supposed Headless Horseman. This movie has everything. Note: This movie is not for the squemish or faint of heart. It is very graphic and should only be watched if you can handle seeing people getting their heads chopped off or sliced bodies. If you can get past that it is still a great movie that is great to watch not just on halloween, but year round!
