Summary: Best in this Genre
Review: Can you imagine being one of the best of the best, then suffering a trauma so severe that it leaves you an Agoraphobic? Our hero has been there, she is terrified of her hallway, when once she strode them with purpose and conviction in her on-going fight for justice. Years later, younger people, fresh, innocent in many ways of the difference between law and justice, force her to face her fears, which are far from groundless! The situation builds as we find The Bad Guy is still out there, and still wants to take her down; to replay the scenario that left her terrified of the world. A horror, but a second chance ... does the strength of fear and memory over come the life-long commitment to justice? How would you replay the scenes in your life that altered you? Great movie, with a thought-provoking ending, one to share with other people who enjoy exercising their minds, stetching possibilites, and makes for a great evening. Excellent, whether you are a fan or not, it is the character you follow, not the actress ... which is a sure sign of an excellent actress!

Summary: copycat - scary as..
Review: Copycat - very well done thriller , with high empathis put on suspense and shock rather than merely gore an violence, keeps you in suspence and guessing till the end, in the same kind of legue as Silence of the Lambs, Seven ect. one of my favourite all time films as well as one of my favourite horror films - one of the few horror films i can watch numerous times.
Definutly worth watching, makes you think as well - certainly not your average horror film.

Summary: Not as good as Silence Of The Lambs and Se7en, but close
Review: Copycat is a great movie. A suspensful plot with many twists and a great cast. Sigourney Weaver is fantasic and Holly Hunter is amazing, too. The ending kept me on the edge of my seat. This movie is not as good as The Silence Of The Lambs, Red Dragon or Se7en, but is is very close.

Summary: And I thought 'The Silence Of The Lambs' is scary
Review: Copycat is a very good 'Cop vs. Killer' -Thriller. A suspensful plot with many twists and the actors and actresses are great: Sigourney Weaver(Alien 1-4) is born for this role. Holly Hunter(The Piano) is amazing, too. The ending keeps you on the edge of your seat. If you enjoyed 'The Silence Of The Lambs', 'Seven', 'Kiss The Girls', 'The Bone Collector' or 'Dressed To Kill' I HIGHLY recommend this masterpiece.

Summary: Copycat
Review: Copycat is one of the better thrillers of recent years, directed by John Amiel, who gave us Sommersby and The Man who Knew Too Little (!) Here Sigourney Weaver is criminal psychologist Helen Hudson, who gets attacked by the infamous criminal Daryll Lee Cullum (Harry Connick Jr) and subsequently becomes a paranoid housebound novel writer. Holly Hunter is a cop trying to hunt down a serial killer who is copying the murders of notorious serial killers of the 70's and 80's.

The film has some really creepy moments involving the copycat killer's modus operandi, and Weaver is in great form as the paranoid Doc. And Harry Connick Jr is brilliant, playing the role of a psycho with menace and delightfully insane relish. However the film is silly, and sometimes predictable, but it's good points make this one an enthralling film that was unfairly compared to the (admittedly superior) Silence of the Lambs (1991). What it lacks in originality, it makes up for with some really effective shocks and building up to an all-out, gripping finale. Be warned, this film is not for the faint-hearted.

Summary: One of the best suspense films of the 90's
Review: COPYCAT stands on it's own despite being compared to SILENCE OF THE LAMBS. Truly frightening and suspenseful in scenes, the film works beautifully because of the cast (Holly Hunter and Sigourney Weaver) and the excellent script.

Sigourney Weaver character was stalked by a serial killer some years before, and as a result, is confined to her home where she lives in understandable fear. The police now consult with her in her capacity as a criminal psychologist to find the identity of a new serial killer. In the process, her world is once again turned upside down in a way which will make you want to jump up and lock your door.

CopyCat is a true gem of the suspense thriller genre but overlooked by so many as a 'copycat' of other great films. Trust me, it really does deserve merit for its ability to remain as fresh today as it was upon first release.

Deserves a place in your DVD collection.

Summary: GREAT THRILLER !
Review: Definitely a movie to see! A blend of police drama and suspense that truly works well in this feature. In it's favour it's fast paced and is never boring. It allows the storyline to move at just the right speed, that it keeps the viewer's attention from start to finish. It will keep you on the edge of your seat as to what is going to happen next. A clever paranoid thriller. The story is captivating and intersting. If you've never seen the film(and your old enough to watch it of course)then I would recommend that you get it right now and experience one of the best thrillers that the 90's had to offer.

Summary: Fantastic!
Review: Having watched this movie in Law class, I can definitely say it's one of the best of its genre. It was fast-paced, thought-provoking, and utterly gripping.

Sigourney Weaver turns in a brilliant performance as Helen Hunt, a retired and agoraphobic woman with all the knowledge she'll ever need of the criminal mind - having been nearly murdered at the movie's beginning my Darryl Lee Cullum (Harry Connick, Jr), the man behind everything. The other actors give us great insight of the way things work in a serial case, their mannerisms and skills as actors (especially William McNamara, the seductively charming psychopath) chilling us as we watch the drama unfold.

If you're looking for something new in the Thriller category, you could do much worse than this.
