Summary: Patricia Arquette is a knockout... As are the entire cast.
Review: There isn't one actor in this film that doesn't give a great performance. They (and the director) turned a run-of-the-mill screenplay into a great movie that never has a dull moment. Patricia Arquette looks more stunning every film she makes and she also shows that shes a great actress. Ellen really steals the show with some classic comebacks, (the "someone killed bambi's mother" bit was gold) and the males in the cast are also great. If there was a better twist at the end it would definately be five-star-fare.

Review: This is a wickely funny and sexy movie that will keep you guessing. Don Johnson is perfect, as always, and Ellen DeGeneres is perfectly cast as a cynical police detective. I am not a great Ellen fan, but she is perfect in this role! I do not understand all the bad reviews for this movie. I found it to be quite entertaining and had to rewind it several times for a few choice scenes! Really good entertainment.

Review: This is the first movie that I really took note of Patricia Arquette. I have enjoyed many of her other movies. I don't really know much about Ellen DiGeneres but she played the wise cracking, tough, detective part very well in this movie. The Sound of Music was a great twist. I don't know why this movie isn't more popular. It is about a 3 and half, but closer to a 4. ....

Review: This is truly a spectacular movie. It works as a comedy (much funnier then most, including those that belong solely to the genre), a study of the callousness of human beings (Ellen, playing a detective, picks food out of her teeth while taking the statement of a newly widowed woman, and that's more personnable then she is the rest of the movie), and a suspense movie (The plot keeps you guessing, and the ending is pure gold). Ellen and Patricia play their roles to perfection, and the rest of the cast holds their own. Although the DVD's special features are a little disappointing, the trailer alone make it worthwhile.

Summary: Patricia Arquette-Wow!
Review: This was a decent, entertaining movie and as a huge Patricia Arquette fan I bought the DVD before I saw it. I wouldn't call this film noir though it attempts be just that. I was told the story line jumped all over the place but I found it easy, if not too easy to keep up with the plot. I only gave this 3 stars because it was just too easy to see where it was going. The ending had a good twist but the rest was predictable. Patricia Arquette hasn't looked this good since True Romance. Go see that first.
