Summary: Bearable.
Review: Monica Potter only needs a nose job and 1 good role to break it big. Unfortunately, neither come in this movie. Maybe a nose job would get rid of some of that whine in her voice too. Regardless, this movie is somewhat entertaining if never inspiring. The plot has large holes that are never explained and that only seem more implausible upon further reflection. The movie has decent moments of suspense, but the twist about halfway through throws the whole movie out of whack and only leads to a predictable ending. Freeman does an admirable job in his role, but it's not up to the standards of his previous work. All in all, this movie will progress your life about 2 hours.

Summary: Patterson is the Spider Man
Review: Morgan Freeman... Alex Cross. This movie is definetely one of the best movies I've ever seen. Putting aside the fact that the movie doesn't follow hardly anything that happens in the book, it's great. The kidnapped girl's name isn't even the same as it is in the book. But, it's a real thriller. There's a twist and a turn every minute. It's a movie that you'd definetely want to own if you're a fan of this type of movie. It straps you in and draws you into it's wonderful story, full of suspense and imagination.

Summary: Not Great, But Good (3 1/2)
Review: Since I really enjoy this genre of film, it has to be really bad for me not to like a movie that at least tries. And this one does. I was surprised and shocked and jumped and really liked the senator's daughter (kidnapped victim). Morgan Freeman of course makes anything he touches that much better. And we wouldn't have rented this movie without his credibility. So, I guess his star power is at it's height.

It worked for me, although it is pretty much a Hollywood script.

Summary: Weak, hurried, unbelievable
Review: This was a thrown together movie to get on the screen and look good and make some money...quickly. At least it sure seemed that way to me. They did not challenge the audience to think, they just threw some ridiculous twists in. Could have been much better and it does NOT compare with Kiss The Girls except the Freeman is in both. KTG was much better.

Summary: Suspenceful it was
Review: The kiddnaper kidnaps but not for money...but for fame and to be able to have morgan freeman to be on his case. But someone else kidnaps from the kidnapper....they want the money and to pin it on the original kidnapper....who in the heck is the real bad guy...it leaves you wondering for awhile...you think you know...the you don't know...I love a movie that has you guessing. It's a good movie...but don't think along the line of the first movie....it's nothing like it. It is it's own movie... and a good movie it is.

Summary: Absolutely nothing like the book
Review: This was an excellent movie but the book was 100x better. But the movie was still very good even though the two are absolutely nothing alike. So much VERY IMPORTANT stuff from the book was not even in the movie AT ALL. I won't go into any specifics because they would ruin the movie for one who hasn't seen it or read the book yet. The movie was good, the book was better. My advice, read he book first.

Summary: Simply Terrible
Review: Alright, alright, let's begin. I love Morgan Freeman, but this movie was horrendous. I've read the Alex Cross books. I understand you can't make a movie perfectly from the book. Unfortunately, James Patterson sold his soul in order to make a buck. The plot is basically the same, but the sequences are far different. The outcomes are different. The inability to use the names in the book? I mean Megan Rose instead of Maggie Rose? Is it really that big of a deal to use the name that was written in the book. Is it going to effect the plot of the movie? Later on, something happens in the movie that makes it IMPOSSIBLE to create the motion picture for "Cat and Mouse". It just keeps getting worse for us fans of the books.

Besides that, the acting wasn't anything up to Morgan Freeman standards. The twist was decent, but could have been written out a little better. It's just not a movie I would recommend to anyone who likes the books. Unfortunately, I have a bias opinion.

Summary: Good On Twists, Lousy On The Conclusion
Review: "Along Came A Spider" is a very interesting thriller that has a great performance by Morgan Freeman -reprising the role of police psychiatrist Alex Cross from "Kiss The Girls" -and an interesting score by Jerry Goldsmith. This movie also has a couple of twists that look like to be a spider web.

In spite of developing the movie in a very attractive way, director Lee Tamahori seemed to have wanted to end his film quickly by giving the final twist on a silver platter; he doesn't give you the chance of figuring it out. Now that's disappointing for a fine thriller. I wish I could tell something about it, but the problem is I'd be ruining the movie in case those of you who are interested in watching it. Go ahead and watch it, and you'll find out.

Summary: Caught in the web.
Review: I remember when this movie first came out that critics were saying "How can a good book and good actor make a bad movie? Watch this movie and find out.". What do critics know. I found this movie thouroughly enjoyable. There were so many possible suspects and so many twists and turns that pretty soon you didn't know who possibly did it. Now, this wasn't even as good as the book was, but that's pretty much typical. Theres too much in a book to get it all in the movie and have it all make sense (those who read the book will understand, especially one of the characters in the movie from the book). But they did a good job in this movie with what they did do.
How good book and good actor make a good movie. Watch this and find out.
