Summary: Please do your homework screenwriter
Review: This movie might have been mildly entertaining if the person who wrote it had done a minimal amount of research on intellectal property, which was the gist of the story. Instead, it was ludicrous. What about getting a patent for the big secret? You wouldn't get a copyright, it's a PROCESS!! For god's sake, get a consultant the next time you delve into such issues or at least do 5 minutes of research. A stupid movie.

Summary: Most analyzed movie since 2001!
Review: Not since 2001 (released in 1968) has a movie caused as much "post-viewing" discussion. The main point of contention: Was Rebecca Pidgeon's character really "a bad person?" Ms. Pidgeon brings us a most refreshing new character: "Anne of Green Gables" has become a cagey operative! (And every word from her pretty mouth is calculated for effect.) Academy Award stuff to be sure! All we really know for a fact is that "CEO" Ben Gazzara is evil. From that point, keep in mind Mr. Mamet's simple observation: "People aren't always what they seem to be." There had to be at least one "good guy" insider in Gazarra's company! The ferry boat scene at the end is pure genius. Is "Agent" Rebecca overplaying her role within her role? We think so. And remarklably well! Oscars all around!

Summary: Gripping thriller that keeps you guessing until the end.
Review: David Mamet has a talent for coming up with the most elaborate confidence tricks in the book. I have to say that at times you wondered if the actors weren't rehearsing their lines with the film rolling, but that really does lend itself nicely to this screenplay. Are these people for real, or is this all a big scam? I really enjoyed this movie, but by far the best part for me were the interactive menus! Wow! It's really amazing the stuff the studios are coming up with these days. I can't hardly wait to see what they do next.

Summary: Well developed characters with a story that captavates.
Review: The Spanish Prisoner is a smart, well written, and well acted film. There are enough plot twists to keep one guessing. The five main characters in the story are well developed, with plenty of real traits that we can all admire (or loath), and associate with to some degree. In many ways I felt this film to be every bit as good as recent classics "Lonestar", "Fargo", and "Sling Blade".

Summary: Magnificent, Definetly see this one
Review: This film is the best one i have seen in a long time. the suspense is fabulous, you must see this one more than once to even begin to collect enough clues to determine the scheme of the villains. See this one definetly, you will not be sorry. You will love it!!!!!!!! thank you students.

Summary: A real mystery, exciting and changing every second
Review: This movie was entertaining and fun to watch. You never knew what was going to happen next, and you have to pay attention to certain details. I liked it because the main character didn't know who to trust, and it was fast-paced and kept my attention. Very good movie!!

Summary: Smart and enticing
Review: The movie kept you on the edge of your seat. it was an intellectual thriller that kept you guessing.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Terrific performances with a well written script
Review: If you like who dunn it, this is a excellent film directed by a master story teller. Equal to "Usual Suspects" Steve Martin? Not the funny guy in this one, he gives a great performance.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Thought provoking, suspenseful thriller
Review: The Spanish Prisoner had my head spinning and my mind working at a rapid pace trying to catch all of the clues which leads people to a notion that something is not right. Throughout the entire movie special detail was shown by the camera angles, thus giving clues to the next unraveling of the mystery. This movie ranks with The Fugitive and The Net in its frustrating circumstances of its main character, and seat grabbing excitement. It's a movie that you will want to see twice so you can pick out all of the clues intimated along the way.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Hitchcock-Style Thriller with lots of suspense
Review: A perfect mystery with lots of surprises. Be careful to watch closely for clues that you'll discover with delight as the plot unfolds. Plenty of unexpected twists, but not so many that you can't follow what is going on.

Steve Martin and the others are supurb in their portrayal of the Mr. Nice Guy's associates. In keeping in the Hitchcock tradition, very little blood and gore (one dark scene of a stabbing), yet your neck will be tight with tension after it is all over.
