Rating: Summary: An Amaizing and fantastic history!!! Review: I've read the book and I have been waiting for this movie anxious This history is powerful, amazing, creative, and interesting from the beginning to the end. Teach us profound and true lessons! I sorry because the DVD format isn't is to all regions. More and more I realize how good in your job Frank Peretti is, and he is better than ever!
Rating: Summary: Not bad! Review: Ignore the reviews about "badly acted"...this film has good acting and an interesting story, yes the story is a bit flawed but is EVERY Stephen King story good? No, most of the Stephen King films made from his books are quite horrendous! Is this Frank's BEST story? No, I find his best with "The Visitation" and "The Oath", I mean the whole "scientific" parts are a little far fetched, however remember this was written for "young adults"! Not hardened and seasoned adults....ahem. Anyway, The film is shot VERY nicely and the acting isn't bad, after school special? No, but it does have that Disney-esque "feel" to it, not like that is a BAD thing? Frank makes an appearance as a quirky guy, alot of scientific people ARE quirky, HELLO? Anyone relate to this? The quirky science teacher almost EVERYONE has in jr high or high school? Cmon.....therefore that fits, now the ending is a LITTLE far fetched but still makes it a "FUN" movie. Id like to see 99% of the bad reviewers make HALF as good of a film for their FIRST film as THIS! ......Well? Anyone? Exactly my point! NOBODY.....that is why the crew of this film was given MONEY to do it backed by 20th century fox, thank you very much! Anyway, the story is sort of an x-file type of story with a bit of "fun" thrown in. It's fun, interesting and isn't boring like MANY films that try TOO hard to be TOO REAL. Its not supposed to be REAL, but a fun story that moves at the right pace. Give it a shot if a fan of ANY of Frank's books...B grade book writer? Hardly......B grade film? Sure, but high quality b grade film. Get over it bad reviewers, everyone has the right to their opinion but this is a fun film in MY opinion....maybe a Disney-esque sort of feel to it, as it's tame for the younger crowd, but STILL fun!

Rating: Summary: I liked the Movie for It's Actress and Story Review: It took me back to my high school days at Uni. All the cliques going on...
Leighton Meester was so visually stunning in this film. She could
get the World offered to her with just a smile. Her teasing lolita type character is very sexy. Would like to see her in a romance filmed in Italy or France.
Rating: Summary: So bad it was great...sort of Review: My friend and I rented this movie because we are from the city that this movie was filmed in. The movie was filmed at Roger's Highschool in Spokane, Washington. (yes, the highschool really is as ghetto as the movie makes it seem.) Some of our friends were extras in the movie, so we had a good time looking for them. The plotline was a good idea, but it was played out poorly. The actresses, especially the leading girl and her friends, are downright horrible. But the stupidity of what the characters do and the movie's obsession with how preps are good and goths are evil is pretty irritating, but also hilarious. Maybe I just got a kick out of the moive because I recognized everywhere the people went. The one thing that really bugged me about the movie was how the family lived in an RV by the river. The place they were living is a good 20-30 miles from Rogers Highschool, yet the kids walk there in what appears to be a few minutes. I guess I'm one of the few people who'd know that though. I thought this movie was worth watching, but not buying. If you are from Spokane, then I definently suggest watching this.
Rating: Summary: Excellent movie for teens + Review: My son (and I) are big fans of the Veritas Books. While some changes were made to the story to make it fit into the time frame/budget, etc., the changes made sense and fit the story and the characters. I hope that more of the Peretti books are made into movies... With the same producers and bigger budgets... :)
Rating: Summary: Ok... Review: Ok. The acting was good in my opinion, and the storyline was very good in my opinion. But the deeper part I got out of it, was the ridicule. The ridicule in high school is painful for teens like me to endure. I went through it all through high school, and I know parents and teachers like to say they all went through it too, and that its just something that all kids must go through to become better people. But in my point of view, all kids should not have to endure it. I'm not a bible thumper, nor am I some revenge driven teenager. But it really made me say, why can't the world be like the ending of this movie, minus the horrible wake up call. All kids have different scenes, all kids like to look different, wear different clothes. But deep down in your soul, you all may have the same point of views. If you looked past the outer appearance, and looked inside, you'd be surprised who you ended up being friends with. This movie, is by far the best to ever catch the emotion that teens really feel, when being called names in school. I loved it. By the end of the movie, I was literally squalling.
There arent enough stars in the galaxy for me to give.
Rating: Summary: Needs more Review: Okay for starters let me just say that Christain movie do have a low budget, but that is no excuse. It was an awful movie, not faithful to the book at all (oh yeah Frank Peretti the author, was in the movie!)!!! There is no one part that was entirely faithful. It was such a good book I was expecting so much more from the movie. I mean they had about 5 seconds devoted to one of the coolest parts in the book (non-climax related), and they even screwed that up! Wrong characters and everything. I mean the actors were good, but they should have followed the book more. Let's just say, if you're going to make a book into a movie do it well or don't do it at all.
Rating: Summary: The worst I've seen in last five years... Review: People, save your money...find better way to spend two hours, especially if you are older than 5 years. Compared to this movie, Spy Kids (all three parts) are real Master-piece.
Rating: Summary: Simplistic and embarrassing to watch Review: Some time back, I was handed a tract by a well-meaning Evangelical Christian. Unfortunately, the tract was inappropriate aside from the fact that I didn't invite that kind of conversation with this total stranger. The tract was so full of stereotypes, straw-man arguments, and childish scare tactics (little pictures of souls gnashing their teeth that they hadn't committed to Jesus before they died) that it made me wonder if Christians just check their brains at the door when they go into church. And then there's this DVD. While it's tempting to be offended by the stealth marketing (I wouldn't knowingly have paid money to be preached to), I actually found myself embarrassed for the people who made the movie. It reveals a lot more about the insecurities of the moviemakers than it does any spiritual truths. The real message of the movie? Christians can be cool, too. As long as they don't think too much.
