Summary: Vintage de Niro!
Review: I once heard Quentin Tarantino say: "Bobbie de Niro has done an amazing job both in 'Casino' and 'Heat'. I think he has been robbed of two Oscar nominations that year!" Need I say more?

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Mob + Casino + De Niro + Pesci = Great Film!
Review: This film is a wonderful story of life on the top in the city of Las Vegas. Having been to Vegas numerous times I find the story fascinating. The movie shows the corruption in the casino business and it shows how the mob runs things from Kansas City. Robert De Niro and Joe Pesci team up again in this great drama. It is interesting to see Pesci and De Niro interact in this movie. You can never tell if they are going to kill eachother or if they are going to hug eachother. Sharon Stone gives a wonderful performance too.

Casino and mob lovers will enjoy this movie so much. I find this movie interesting also because it shows the difference between Vegas of the 1970s and Vegas of today. I highly recommend this film.

Summary: An absolute classic!!
Review: This movie will take your breath away. The acting, cinematography and the editing is superb. Both pesci and De niro really steal the show. I believe that the violence is an important part of any good mafia movie, however i do think Scorsese went a little overboard especially with the baseball bat scene (which put quite frankly was horrific!)

Nonetheless this should not detract from the movie which is a must view for anyone who loves mafia flicks

Summary: DeNiro,Stone,Pesci,and Rickles Masterpiece.
Review: I think This eight and final collaberation of DeNiro and Scorsese is great. Sam "Ace" Mckenna(Robert DeNiro) is the smartest gambler in Vegas. He owns and is the Casino manager of the Tangiers Casino in Las Vegas. Back home mobster friend Nicky Santoro(Joe Pesci) comes to Vegas for the sceme and to protect Ace. Stabing people with a pen and putting a mans head in a vise throws viewers off. Then Oscar nominated Sharon Stone delivers a stunning performance as Ginger Mckenna. Rickles is good. Woods is a slob. Director: Martin Scorsese Cast:Robert DeNiro,Sharon Stone,Joe Pesci, and James Woods

Summary: A MASTERPIECE
Review: A gambler who is put in charge of a Las Vegas Casino by the Mafia runs into trouble when he tries to run the business honestly and falls in love with a call girl.

An intriguing and undeniably excellent and beleavable observation of a city built on greed and power. the films pace is rather leisurley at first but then dives into the dark and violent underworld. a compelling and often shocking movie with excellent performances all round, complemented by the fast, razor sharp scripts that capture the mood and spirit perfectly. Top performances from its four leading stars - Robert De Niro, Sharon Stone, Joe Pesci and James Woods. Incredibly well done. A real masterpiece. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!

Summary: It's okay Scorsese; I forgive you.
Review: It's not Goodfellas. It never had the potential to be Goodfellas. I've read the book and it was long arduous reading, just liek this film is long arduous viewing. Almost identicle team-up from Goodfellas simply makes you wonder if perhaps he was just looking for more praise and/or money. Cut it two hours and it might be tolerable. Note: I don't hate long movies just beacuse there long, I hate them if there long without content. I loved Magnolia and Gone With The Wind so don't even attempt to criticize.

Summary: One outstanding movie
Review: This in my opinion was the best movie of 1995 but I did like Goodfellas much better. Rent it first and if you like it buy it like I did. Plus if you did not see Goodfellas first watch that than this cause it shows similiarity with other characters. P.S. Within 7 minutes prior to the end of the movie, leave the barf bag beside you just in case you do not like suffering deaths.

Summary: Bet On This...
Review: "Casino" tells the tale of Las Vegas run by the mob through the decades. Sam Rothenstein (DeNiro) is the casino manager and Nicky Santoro (Pesci) is the hot-headed criminal who brings heat into the land of slot machines and dice. Sharon Stone also heats things up big time in her mini skirts and jewels as she plays Sam's sultry wife, who has an affair with Nicky and throws everything into complete turmoil. "GoodFellas" stars join the cast here, for this three hour plus film filled with blood, love, lust and excitement. Never a dull moment. Scorsese once again does the job with great directing. See it. It stays with you.

Summary: one of the best
Review: if your into the mob then this is the movie for you. there is a lot of violence but that is the true reality of the mob. De Niro & stone had fantastic portrails of there roles as the a casino manager and a hustler. joe pecei did a great portrail of a made gangster, but the profhanity was a little too much. A MUST SEE!!!! for all mob lovers

Summary: good movie
Review: Great Goodfellas follow up with super performances by Robert Deniro and James Woods (needed more screen time!) and an actual great performance from windbag Sharon Stone. Joe Pesci is great as always but well, he's just Joe Pesci in this movie. Lots of cuss words and gory violence cut in with 70s rock n roll. The flow of the movie starts off great but then gets uneven near the end but is still entertaining.

The violence is a little extreme... yeah right. The MPAA totally ruined the head vice sequence, if it ended with eyes popping out it would have been a classic, you'd think they would restore that on this DVD along with a commentary track. The reviewer that said no one under 15 should see this movie needs to get more gore in his movie diet cause I first saw this film when I was 12 and loved every minute of it, mainly for the cussing and violence but now I love just because its a great film. (i'm 16 now and own tons of unrated violent flicks like DEAD ALIVE and The Untold Story, gore doesent faze me, even real life gore).

Its no Goodfellas but its still a very entertaining wickedly funny almost trashy gangster flick. One of the best films about the 70s (ha ha, i never even lived through it either).

The DVD could have been better though, but I think Marty is going to release all of his films through Criterion, see the great treatment he gave The Last Temptation of Christ.
