Summary: Nice and Solid Mystery movie.
Review: Clue is a very fun movie that moves along at a good pace. As people are dying over and over, we the audience are invited to guess and figure out "who done it, where, and with what." Throughout the movie, we are given various clues that help lead us to a conclusion. If you pay VERY CLOSE attention to every detail, you'll get it. If you miss anything, you'll find out what you missed at the end.

The DVD suffers from very little features, a trailer is all you get. Fortunatley, this movie is the kind of film you'll enjoy watching twice to discover new things.

Reccomended.

Summary: Slapstick is back!
Review: My family has just worn out the second copy of this hilarious who-done-it. WeMy teenagers lip-synch the entire movie, have exposed their friends to it (to generally rave reviews) and the movie phrases "This man's dead drunk. Dead right.", "Let us in, let us in. Let us out, let us out." , "This is War, Peacock!" , "Men should be like tissues...soft, clean and disposable." and "No man in his right mind would be alone with you Mrs. White." continue to crack us up. Tim Curry's frenetic explainations at the end are amazing and I wonder how many takes he did without collapsing. The actors are well cast with Madeline Kahn (just this side of psychotic-ok, totally psychotic) as Mrs. White and Eileen Brennan as the blueblooded and calculating Mrs. Peacock joining Tim Curry as the butler in a 1950's skewering of espionage, greed, politics, sex by inuendo and patriotism. God bless America!

Summary: CLUE?!?
Review: All I have to say about this movie is that it is wonderful. It completely asks you to find the mystery of who killed Mr. Body yourself. Not only is it entertaining, it is extremely comical.

Tim Curry offers some of his best work in this film playing the role as the buttler. The movie also stars Madeline Kahn.

The story takes place at a mansion where the mysterious Mr. Body has gathered different types of people. There they learned that each of them is being blackmailed and the mystery begins as the result of the death of Mr. Body.

Summary: Hilarious and a great mystery
Review: This must have been one of the first murder mystery movies before the Scream and Halloween period. It was great! It had motives that made sense and there were actual ways to tell who the killer was besides just guessing. This is a must-see.

Summary: Soon to be a classic ! (if it ISN'T one already)...........
Review: FINALLY ! A DVD WIDESCREEN version of one of the wackiest, screwball comedies of all time ! This one has it all - Slapstick, wit, charm, mystery...

You can't go wrong with some of the funniest comedic actors on film: Martin Mull, Chrstopher Lloyd, Madeline Kahn (R.I.P), Mike McKean...Their delivery is on target and the writing is SURPRIZINGLY good !

But the REAL gem of the film is watching Tim Curry do his 'butler thing'....A PERFECT role for him, and very, very, funny !

Although a bit thin on plot, it well makes up for it with snappy one-liners and a wonderful, likeable cast. From the sex-crazed Prof Plum to the wonderfully buxomed french maid (played WELL by Colleen Camp), this is a comedy to treasure...

Just kick back...relax...forget about the world around you...and enjoy !

P.S. A SHARP dvd transfer !

Summary: Absolutley hysterical
Review: This movie ranks as my second-favorite of all time, following the similar and superior "Murder by Death". The ensemble cast is wonderful and it includes a plethora of one-liners that you'll be quoting with other viewers for years (trust me on this!) For a fun evening, watch "Murder by Death" and then "Clue" right afterwards. Notice how in both movies, Eileen Brennan's character faints, and the butler fails to catch her! This is a really fun movie.

Summary: Very funny but...
Review: Let me preface this by saying that I have always loved this movie in the VHS format. I have owned two copies because, basically I wore out the first one. The top notch comedic performances of Tim Curry, Madeline Kahn, Martin Mull, et. al. never fail to get me laughing and to make a long story short (too late!) I couldn't wait for the movie to reach this format (DVD). My expectations may have been a little too high though. I really never expected the sound to be SATNDARD MONO. I have a top of the line in-home theater system and to hear all the sound come from the front center cube was no small shock, it wouldn't even simulate surround sound well. The picture is crisp with only slight artifacts to be noted. The bonus material...hello... what bonus material! The theatrical preview hardly counts as bonus material. I love the movie but the creators of this disk should re-think what the consumers (like me) expect after waiting so long for this movie to reach this format.

Summary: Just a quick note about the DVD
Review: I just wanted all of you Clue fans to know that the DVD features an option where you can watch the movie with just one of the random endings (the way you would have originally seen it in the theaters). Of course, you can also watch the three part ending that they put together for the VHS.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Inaccurate sound description
Review: If you like the video, you'll like the DVD---there is nothing new here, except the opportunity to choose between viewing one ending randomly selected, or viewing all three endings in succession. The Amazon listing of Dolby Digital 5.1 is inaccurate. This is not an option provided on the DVD.
