Summary: WHAT A DIFFRENCE!!!!!!!!!!!!
Review: Scream 2 is a million times better than the first Scream, which was teribble. The killer is no longer a wimpy teen like in the last film. This film is aimd to an older audiance( the first was aimed to the teens) which I think was good and it really worked for this one. This plot is about someone who saw a movie called Stab, a film based on what happened in the first Scream, and the film drives him mad and makes him turn into a killer. Okay, I know that sounds like a bad plot on papr, but it's much better on screen. They don't make fun of the old movies as much as they did in the first one( the( the orignal was trying to be serios, not like Scary Movie). If you enjoyed movies like Halloween, then you should like this. Much better than the first movie.

Summary: 1.5 stars...same as first but different wussies for killers.
Review: The movie "Scream 2" is basically just like "Scream". Neither movie is very effective because when the killers' identities are revealed, the movie becomes ineffective as a horror film.

The killers lack any kind of credibility and are completely unconvincing in their roles. In fact, the twist at the ending regarding the first killer's mother is exceptionally bogus and relegates this movie to the loser Hall Of Fame for horror movies.

Summary: I Only Saw It Once, And....
Review: THAT WAS ENOUGH. I was actually expecting something out of this movie. I guess I was wrong. The final identity of the killer wasn't very surprising at all because it's not noticed that they are revealed somewhere in the middle of the film. I'm glad some of the people who died, died. {Many of them deserved it anyway}. I can't remember the plot, but it wasn't all that great to me. A few scenes were alright, but overall, this just does not make my day.

Summary: Good....But Carries the Taint of Roseanne
Review: I love horror films, so a horror trilogy based around killers using the conventions of horror films to commit mayhem is just too much fun to pass up. I really liked the original Scream, and immediately jumped in line for it's sequel. Scream 2 is a good little horror film, but doesn't pack the same punch as the original. The character are a little more fleshed out, the Ghostface killer is still a pretty menacing and creepy figure, and there is still a cool little mystery to be solved as to who the killer or killers may be. The gore seems toned down a bit, and some of the actions leading to various character's deaths are illogical, but it's still a fun horror movie. Most of the surviving members from the original are back for another go, with some new faces providing a bigger pool of victims this time around, most notably Sarah Michelle Gellar and Jerry O'Connell. But what Scream 2 lacks that the original had, was the multiple references to past slashers and horror films and other pop-culture references that made Scream so much fun. Neve Campbell just runs around the entire film looking pouty with tears in her eyes, and you almost wish Ghostface would finally off her...but the real jump-the-shark moment came when Jerry O'Connell begins singing "I Think I Love You" as the whole cafeteria claps???!! This scene might have worked in "You've Got Mail" or "Bridget Jones", but this is a horror movie, who want's to see that?! That, plus the fact that the woman who played Roseanne's sister on Roseanne's tv show is also in the cast put this entry at the bottom of Scream trilogy. But the whole series is worth owning if you enjoy horror films, if nothing else the Scream series deserves extra stars for starting the latest horror movie renaissance.

Summary: Run Cici run!
Review: This movie was great, i belive it was the best of the series. They brought in my obsession, Sarah Michelle Gellar to play the roll Cici Cooper. She was great, but i cried wen she died... :( hehehe. Courtny Cox and Neve Camble were funny too! if you love seeing the best scream queens (like SMG) run rampid, then go out and buy Scream 2!

Summary: An Awesome Sequel Deserving Repeat Viewings
Review: This is probably the best film from the Scream trilogy. And yes, I've read the reviews claiming that it doesn't even partially measure up to the first. However, this movie has a lot to offer - including a great cast - going through and watching this movie now - you see a ton of actors that have small bit roles - but are now big name stars - ex: Sarah Michelle Gellar, Portia de Rossi, Heather Graham, and Omar Epps. Anyways, I love how this film plays on mapping out the faults of the horror genre - and pokes fun while at the same time scaring the crap out of you. Plus, with this film, I felt a lot more character development - and I think this film served to genuinely 'scare' me more than the original Scream - the first one really just made me whince at how gory it became.

Summary: ...screaming for more
Review: This movie is the sequel from that scary movie "Scream" that has started a new generation of horror movies. This sequel is probably the best sequel I have seen in years. I am a big fan of this movie from part 1 to 3, too bad the trilogy didn't win any awards. But still, it's fun to watch and really suspense. When I first saw Scream, Neve has become my fave. actress and when I found out that theres a sequel, I can't wait to see it. I bought it on video long time ago and still I don't get tired of watching because another fave. actress of mine is there also who is Sarah Michelle Gellar. The chasing scenes are really great, probably the best parts of the movie. Also the beginning of the movie is also good, even though Jada was in first 15mins. of the movie. I think its still worth it to be part of it. The cast are really good, plus another applaud for the killers. For all those people who didn't see this movie yet, go rent this movie. It's really good that will leave you screaming for more!

Summary: all about money, less about quality
Review: big fan of the scream trilogy. but scream2 is without a doubt the weakest link. I actually liked scream2 when I came out of the theatre, but after seeing it just one more time I started to notice the painfully obvious flaws, and it's not easy for me to say this, but the painfully bad overacting. Unlike the first and third film which managed, or should I say bothered, to avoid these mistakes, scream2 is so riddled with mind numbing stupidity that somehow viewers are not seeing. Don't get me to wrong this is still way above average for a thriller, but if your looking for depth your not going to find it. This was an insult to everything the first scream and scream3 stood for.I'm also a huge fan of some of the cast members in 2, but they have been given much better roles in other films and in this movie are just given the recycled roles of the first film. In scream3 at least we have new characters and much better acting. Actors who have had so many movies you can't count them all. Not to mention new inventions the trilogy, since scream2 decided to miss that department as well i.e scream3 has the delicous voice changing device and the creepy element of the fact that our leadfing heroin could be losing her sanity due to apperisions of her dead mother. We are blessed however with Liev Schrieber in scream2, though he seems to do more and better acting in only the first 6 minutes of the third film. You can just tell which of the three the actual actors took seriously by the effort they put. And in effort, scream2 lacks the defenition of the word

Summary: Sequel-itis
Review: Unfortunately, Scream 2 falls victim to the oh-so-common sequel-itis that plagues many horror sequels. After the original redefined the term "sleeper hit" by grossing $103 million (domestically), Dimension Films rushed to release the sequel. Less than a year after the release of the original, Scream 2 opened to less than enthusiastic reviews, yet still managed to make a killing at the box office (101 million).
Was Scream 2 a bad film? Not really. In fact it is much better than most of the disposable horror trash on the market today, however it does not hold a candle to the original. The script and acting seem very rushed, and the film falls victim to many of the horror cliches that the original so effectively denounced. The film's biggest downfall is the identity of the killers. Part of what made the first film so great was that all the clues to killer's identity were there. The sequel however, offers no logical clues to the identity of the killers, who turn out to be somewhat minor characters who have played a very small part in the narrative until this point. When they are finally revealed, it's like "Where did they come from?"
Scream 2 lacks the originality, script (though still helmed by Williamson), acting, and sheer terror that made the original such a classic. That said, it's still worth a rent, but think twice about buying it unless you are a die hard fan of the series.
